For all of you who amazingly have no clue who Travis is, he's only been around for over 20 years now. He's not a young drummer, he's in his late 40's and is legendary within the modern rock scene. Anyone who knows who he is and thinks he's over rated, or somehow unworthy of his due because of his Blink connections is stupid. He's one of the top drummers in the world... hands down. Blink was just as big as the FF from 99 to 04, and they went on do their best stuff seperately. As a drummer myself, I can assure you his beats are very very difficult. He uses his hi-hat and ride in a way that creates his own "riffs" per say. Also, he is an incredible traditional percussionist, and so much more than a punk drummer, which he is very good at. His beats instantly turned this song into a punk song and Dave couldn't help but take the songs vibes to an almost punk level. Will TB be the next FF's drummer? No, and I don't think anyone will, but could he? Easily, Yes.
He sucked at the Tribute.

It sure is good to see Travis is doing well and enjoying life. That plane crash was a real wake call, he is lucky just to be alive. I wish all of these people peace and joy after losing such a young and good man 🙏. Taylor is looking down and he knows how much he was loved, respected and admired and he is see how much he is missed. Until later RIP and I hope to see you up in the heavens some day.

Foo is one of the only bands I can think of that just get better with age. Been listening since 95’ and still remember hearing this song come out for the first time. I was impressed that they still “got it” and if anything, what they created was amazing. Taylor was such a big loss for the band. I hope they continue and find a comparable drummer. Shane and Travis would be awesome cameos, but they need someone original.

His son Shane could actually do it once he's done with school and that. Pretty sure Dave won't allow him to join until he's done with at least high school and probably college as well. He has the talent and skills already though. Amazing appearance on My Hero by him.
I think they should take a few years off and wait for Shane to grow up. Considering he's Taylor's son and his daddy's friends are guys like Dave Grohl, Travis Barker, Chad Smith, Matt Cameron, Stewart Copelan and Roger Taylor I think he could get a little guidance from these inexperienced drummers

He would be a HORRIBLE choice. I actually liked Travis Barker and was glad he was going to be at the Tribute. Then i went to the Tribute and saw him live and it sounded HORRIBLE. He was actually nauseating to watch. There is no way that Dave would consider him for the band. Especially with all the drama the Kardashians would bring to the table. I was so disappointed by his performance on saturday.

Yea Travis has always been one of my favorite drummers. Definitely not young though. He's nearing 50 I'm pretty sure. Outstanding drummer though, you'd think he was still in his 20s
