@@deerstalker9882thanks for your reply. Yeah the MacBook was very hot during the installation. But for me now when playing a RUclips video the MacBook gets hot an the fans start spinning. I think with 14.2.1 they didn’t. Maybe I have to check it myself. Thanks anyway ;)

Another idea is you may clean the fan and air channels under your MB. Maybe „it can’t take breath“. 😮 When a new system is installed it may can take a while before all files are completely installed. This is also the case on iPhone and iPad. I think there is no reason to get nervous… regards from Germany.

MBP15 mid 2012 OCLP 13.0: 14.2 along with 17.2.1 prevented music library sync with iPhone. No problem with iPod and iPad sync. Now, with 14.3 and 17.3, music library partially syncs but messes up the playlist. Certain ticked playlists are subconsciously deleted from the MBP during syncing. This can be a serious issue for the next 3 years. Unless resolved, there is no point in proceeding with Sonoma on unsupported devices.

I just finished my transition to Sonoma using the legacy patch on a 2011 iMac when this updated came out. I was nervous but decided to go ahead and install the update based upon this feedback assuming everything would work out. Unfortunately, it seemed to break my graphics. The screen remained white and none of my apps would open up. Then I had to completely start over with a fresh installaion on the 14.2 because the system would not allow me to downgrade. If you have a 2011 iMac, I would suggest waiting and hoping some of these issues are resolved.

My only ever real mac (hackintosh before that) my Mac mini 2012 i7 2.6ghz eBay £300 and 2nd SSD drive kit now running nicely with 14.3, thanks so much for the confirm. Everything went well, I think three reboots. I downloaded the full 14.3 installer first into the Applications folder from your link and ran from there. Booted finally with no graphics acceleration, the no wallpaper mode etc, OCLP 1.3.0 installed the root patches for me and I rebooted to a perfect install. Very happy. Comment for the algorithm.

I would like to see a video explaining if a dual-boot from the same SSD is possible. I tried it with Sonoma and High Sierra on a 2013 MBP. The Sonoma part worked, but the High Sierra container received some files I did not want in there and when I deleted this container the Sonoma part got damaged too. Never had such happen when I used the Partition scheme. Now I'm just thinking it's not possible and going to put High Sierra on a SSD into the Optical Drive Bay.

Usually I wait for you to post a vid before I upgrade, but this time I jumped right in as soon as it was announced. I checked OCLP for updates, and when I saw there wasn't one I thought"why not?". ( iMac 13,2, 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 with32GB RAM. I DO have builds of Monterey and Ventura to boot to....... just in case. ) So far it's been fine.
One thing. I keep a bootable installer drive handy. I was trying to install windoze via bootcamp and something went awry and the EFI bootloader was corrupted. You aren't getting in when that happens. So I installed Monterey, with OCLP, and was able to get the bootloader back and all has been good, my Ventura and Sonoma installs were all just as I had left them. Just a FYI, in case anyone else is as stupid as me....

I don’t know if this is meant at 12:30 in the video, but on an iMac 13,2 (27“ end 2012 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX) I installed 14.3. I did a clean install with apps and data from time machine backup. After reboot it shows a black screen with only a mouse arrow for a few seconds. Then the Sonoma background with login is visible but there are no inputs accepted, neither mouse nor keyboard (both wired) - after a few seconds the screen is black again (mouse arrow can be moved), then it switches again to login screen and so on. Wait or power off doesn't help - thanks for your support

👍🏻 Oh yes, please give us more information on the possible uses of Content Caching.
Would appreciate your help🙏🏻: Unfortunately, it is not as easy to install macOS with OCLP on an external disk - at least if you have already installed macOS + OCLP on the internal disk before (e.g. internal disk: macOS Ventura / external disk: Sonoma). During the installation process my MacBook Pro 11,2 (mid 2014) starts automatically 4/5 times.
👉🏻 Each time my MacBook Pro wants to boot from the internal disk. I then have to turn off the Mac completely and restart it while holding down the option key again and select EFI Boot, then the installation process. Then it continues until the next reboot.I have to do this a total of 4/5 times until the initial setup screen appears.
👉🏻 Is there a solution for this so that the system uses the correct OCLP EFI etc. when rebooting during the installation❓

The only issue I’m still experiencing since I got senoma is that if for some reason the machine crashes or after updating the OS system like I did today, the machine boots with no graphics recognized. Hello everyone, I have recently upgraded my 2015 MacBook Pro to Sonoma using OCLP so thanks to everyone who makes this possible. I find that I am unable to use Migration Assistant to transfer all my data from my other MacBook, has anyone any thoughts on why this should be and what can be done to overcome the problem, thanks in advance.

I thought I had an issue free upgrade on my 2013 iMac (14,2) but now when I reboot I also get this (about) 2 minute delay. The dock loads immediately, the menu bar and icons loads after about 2 minutes, and then the desktop icons load last - the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar is always the last thing to load. I had a similar issue with booting with a previous Sonoma upgrade as well, but it settled done after about a week.

Sonoma 14.3 is too large to create a bootable installer on a 16GB flash drive even though Apple officially says a 14GB drive is sufficient. I've tried it using both Terminal and the create install media command and using the OCLP 1.3.0 app, and each time I get a failure message saying that an additional 426MB is needed. Tried multiple different 16GB drives from SanDisk and PNY, and none of them are large enough to create a bootable installer.

Mr Macintosh, maybe you will recognize an issue after updating Sonoma 14.1 to 14.3 on MacBook Pro 15 mid 2015 (I have 2 video cards, intel/amd). I use OCLP 1.3.0 and usb drive. Before start update I installed proper KSK package. After installing new software Mac stoped on login screen. I couldn’t write password because indicator started spinning. And screen goes black for a seconds and back to login screen. And so on, some king of looping . I have only one way to run system, using save mode. In save mode I have problem with graphic I think because when a tried to open any pic or pdf file the preview made problem and system frizzed for a while. Any ideas what solve this issue?

I had a back up, but nothing I could boot from. Had to make an installed , wiped the driveway and reinstalled. I went back to Centura and all is well. My MBP did not run well on Sonoma.

I have a late 2012 15" MacBook Pro Retina. I ran the update let the machine reboot. The background was black. I ran opencore legacy patcher and did the root patch. It rebooted and when I go to login, I type the password, hit enter, get the spinning circle, the circle goes away, and the desktop never loads. In fact, the clock stops too. Is there a way to fix this? I had some music ideas on the internal drive that I don't want to lose.

The method for 2010 model ( USB Prep and install ) and 2012 method ( Software Update through system settings ) no problems either. If you are having issues at all with either of these Mac Pro's 5,1 2010's leave a comment on here and I will be happy to assist you with a trouble shoot work around. Cheers everyone.

You're running Sonoma on those? Is it reliable? I have Monterey running fine on my 2012 Mac Pro 5,1 and am cautious about running anything later just yet. This machine is my sole computer at the moment though I may get another one in the summer. I have more than one SSD in it, so I could try Sonoma on one SSD and keep Monterey on another one I guess.

NVME drive? Spinning HDD? Also do a PRAM reset to clear out the system to fix it. P+R+Option+Command@@juanvera9246
