I understand, I've seen it done a lot . They tell you that since you can't prove yourself innocent & you are going to jail anyway. Just say you did it & sign this confession & instead of life in prison, I ( the cop speaking) can make sure you only get 5 yrs , then you can go home to your family . Sooo , since BM know they are thrown in jail, even if they are innocent, they take the deal . The cops are allowed to tell lies to get confessions. 🙄

Awaiting trial for 10-12yrs is insane. The dedendant has a right to a speedy trial and when a defendant ends up spending 4+ yrs in a county jail awaiting trial do to the state requesting continuances, thats the 1st sign the defendant is innocent.
Now if the defendants attorney is the one requesting continuances it does not support innocence or guilt.
