- It's time for Precon Upgrades! Bloomburrow is upon us and Squirrels are up first. Squirrel decks are some of my favorites and this one is going to be a slight change of pace from the focus that Chatterfang has at the helm with Hazel leading up the deck instead.

Glad you liked it and I appreciate the kind words. I try to stay on theme as much as I can when doing Precon Upgrades, and Squirrels are one of my favorite creature types. I seriously tried making a standard Squirrel deck during the Odyssey block with Nut Collector, Chatter of the Squirrel, Acorn Harvest, and Krosan Beast.
Needless to say, it wasn't very good but hopefully this new batch will get us some good squirrel action.

I turned it into a tribal food and token squirrel theme able to use food tokens as mana dorks and ygra getting bigger and bigger if it's on the board
Definitely one way you can go. I like that we now have several viable routes to play Squirrels, and not just "Chatterfang or bust."
Great job making decks that try to use the set they come from and stick to the theme. The way you do the one for one when making cuts is super easy on my end if I dont have everything you mention.
I try to stick more to theme than mash in max power when doing precon changes. It's boring to just grab the power cards and go from there, because it leaves little room for the new stuff.
I've tried different formatting over the last couple years for these videos and this is the one that's seems most well received, so I'm glad to hear I made the right choice sticking with it.

First precon I've bought since 40k! Love me some Hazel for some reason. Gotta get a bloodroot Apothecary too.
Yeah. I already have a Chatterfang deck and I'm likely picking up a copy just because there's so many new pickups I'd slot into that deck anyhow.
For me the most important thing to do was to put all humanoid stuff out and get the bloomburrow theme on point.
Very doable thanks to this set. There's plenty of other things I didn't slot into this that could replace any of the humans/elves that were left and still have a strong deck.
Do you have any advice for tokens that Get the ball rolling? I feel it. It’s hard to start making squirrel tokens but once I get some, it’s nice.
If it's having trouble getting Squirrels going, it may need things like Chatter of the Squirrel, Verdant Command, or Squirrel Sanctuary to help with Squirreling earlier in the game.
Another thing that came to mind after I did the video was it might need more food generators to take advantage of Forage, which was brought on by running across a copy of Nuka Cola Vending Machine. Peregrin Took might be of use there as well, maybe Pippin, Warden of Isegard as well.
But I know UB cards can get some people unhappy, so those suggestions may not help.
