As a maintenance man at a apartment complex I can say unless it's extreme circumstances we never let officers rummage around. My old manager even nearly got arrested for blocking a sheriff from "searching" a unit we were evicting. The reason for this is that in our state we as the management at the complex are legally responsible for the evicted tenets belongings for like 30 days. Now after that 30 days the tenets stuff is legally abandoned and can freely be thrown away, I myself have got a nice chair and a fancy shelf this way. We have a few boxes we even keep paper work and family photos in for a few months longer as a courtesy as its quite common people leave these behind and several times they have come back to see if we might still have them. One older woman broke down crying when she found out we still had her deceased husband's photo albums in said boxes.

Agreed. But is it any surprise that an organization, a career path, which has extensive power and zero accountability would produce these types of petty criminals?
I suppose it's possible to design a bodycam system that activates (and cannot be shut off) as soon as an officer steps out of the cruiser. And whenever the officer was in the car--whether the engine was on or not--the dash cam is in effect. The other part of that, though, would be to assure that the files are locked and unable to be erased. Parts of body cam footage, as well as entire footage, have mysteriously "gone missing" in many incriminating instances. Even given all that, all an officer has to do is accidentally-on-purpose knock the camera off or block the view with his/her hands. Since qualified immunity isn't going away any time soon, immediate and cost-effective counter-measures to corrupt and violent cops would be mandatory annual ethics training/testing (to underscore the obvious point that legal behavior is required of all LEOs in all situations), and biannual psychological assessments to assure officers are emotionally and mentally fit for the power they exercise.

there is a reason why departments had to adopt policies of counting cash the moment its seized and often count it in front of the person, because SO many accusations of theft that were never able to be proven were alleged, the more and more cameras are used, the more and more we're finding out all the allegations were true...

The way it works is in most cases: 1. Temporary suspension because it is easy to impose with incomplete proof. 2. Further investigation to collect enough proof to get an iron-clad case. 3. Permanent ban.

I can't even describe my emotions watching this because I lived a similar experience w/"law enforcement." We weren't being evicted, however. Rather, we woke up to find our son unresponsive in his bed. We called for help. What we got was suspicion and robbed by the police because my husband had a record. Not to mention the disgusting way in which they trashed our home. No charges were ever filed against us. Still, in addition to living through the worst nightmare a parent could ever experience, we were violated in the grossest way by some of the people we called for help. Worse yet, most of what we owned that was even worthy of being stolen belonged to our, now dead, teenage child. Our tremendous grief was compounded by this egregious fiduciary violation of our trust. To date, the guilty have not been held accountable. But, our story has not ended; not by a long shot! My child deserved better; we deserved better! The way she got excited when she thought she found some pills is unbelievable... This is exactly one of the examples why law enforcement has lost the trust of the public...
@Nah mate correct. & they spend all their time attacking white people but never criticize their own. White people at least usually call out their own when they do wrong.
I often hear auditors ask the police “Do you think I’d be stupid enough to be out here recording myself committing a crime?” I guess the answer is “No, but the police are”
Constables don't work "cases" in the sense that they investigate crimes. They only enforce court orders and stuff, as they are doing here with an eviction. EDIT: I should say, as they are "attempting" to do here but failing miserably and committing crimes instead of their duties. Stealing in itself is inexcusable, but the brazenness of these thefts is so unbelievably on another level because they are doing it with full cognition that badge cameras are being worn & recording.
I must’ve missed the part where serving an eviction notice constitutes going through people’s homes like that. Was there a search warrant? These are the type of cops that need to be put under the very jail cells they would readily put others in for doing the same thing.
I think they can if the people were evicted and the landlord found weed, I could be entirely wrong though. Eitherway cops filmed themselves robbing and should be charged and convicted for it.
I missed that part because the volume of their radio was so low but that just shows they'd rather steal from normal people down on their luck than deal with real criminals because they prefervto pick on the weak as confronting real armed criminals can be dangerous and they didn't sign up for that they signed up to strut aroundand abuse law abiding citizens and harrass people to show off their big tough image and large egos. Shootouts aren't for them when free goodies are on offer, forget attending a potential dangerous callout, that's most of their reactions especially the affirmative higher cops. Thats the cops of today for you.
That was NOT the first time they’ve done that. I’ve had thing stolen from my by officers. It’s insane to think they actually do it but they do. I’m glad these pos got caught. Even laughing & stealing from the daughters rooms like how pathetic ugh none of them should ever be in any position even remotely close to this again.
Straight robbery, not even civil forfeiture robbery like they normally do, just in your face bum crime, sabbatoge, and identity theft. No need to take birth certificates. A lil suspension 🙄 They couldve created a train wreck of circumstances that would take months to recover from for those people.
Not only is the theft absolutely despicable and egregious, but they had absolutely zero thought at all about how they left the things they touched. Just dumped everything out, made a mess, even if you didn’t record yourself… how do you think it’s not going to be insanely suspicious when they go back inside and see their iPhone boxes had been opened and messed with?! Like?!
The victims will logically think the moving company stole from them, and who will they call to investigate them? Right. And if the moving company goes in and starts asking questions why jewelry boxes and purses were left open and scattered about they'll just claim that what it looks like after "investigating" and if they keep asking questions the cops will eventually come up with an excuse to go after them too.
It's likely that this wasn't the first time. They probably do it all the time and they probably never get caught. How are you going to prove that the cops stole your stuff? It's impossible to prove without video evidence. The cops will just point the finger at the moving company or say that the evicted people are lying. They are already getting evicted. Most judges will think they're just complaining because they are being evicted...
Getting fired by itself isn't enough for these no-good thieves. Neither is jailtime. Any punishment we give them pales in comparison to the punishments their Maker has in store for them.
Define irony: …dirty pig says “I’d hate to have to sanitize this“. Then puts it in her shirt. It’s amazing that not one of them hesitated for a split second and they all knew that the others were right on board with it. True definition of gang crime.
People don't go from 0 to 100mph in one go, they don't go from 20 years in the police acting within the law to suddenly - overnight - being involved in organised crime (organised here meaning, a conspiracy of 2 or more officers, disabling body-cams . . etc), clearly this is something they would have been involved in - perhaps for years - before being caught out this time by their own criminal incompetence.

This is why it's extremely important to have bodycams that cannot be turned off while a cop is responding to a call
Agreed. But is it any surprise that an organization, a career path, which has extensive power and zero accountability would produce these types of petty criminals?
@@7sArts It wasn't the career that created this behavior. The career path is only what has enabled them so be so complacent.
