It really is.
Is he gonna “fuck a fellow”?
And Blindboy got The President Of Ireland on his podcast. Yurt
This is one of the best Irish history lessons I've ever heard, and that they made it funny all the way through... fantastic.
Mt mates in the local pub couldn't name any 1916 revolutionaries their Irish history centred around the potato famine, black and tans and a dash of King Brian. A load of us went to Dublin and I took them on 1916 tour ending up at the cemetery where these revolutionaries are buried. This video should be in the school curriculum, brilliant!
'The Salmon of Knowledge's brother Trout of no Craic' 😭
Seen a Celtic top, checked it out .. spent the last week watching blindboy and listening to rubber bandits .. class
The use of Ballymun as a metaphor was very welcome. My childhood was in the flats
Brian Bóru has Oliver Cromwell in a headlock! 😂
Will never forget these legends just watched every one of their guides haha
They are geniuses. If they went to public school and were English. They would be the toast of the town. Have a higher profile and income. I think their work will be recognised for the brilliance it is one day and definitely by future scholars. It’s art and to edgy for the mainstream media to entertain. I understand and love them. Showed them to a friend tonight and he couldn’t understand them. My Granny was from Fermanagh so it sounds like they are talking English to me.
39:16 "It's the Wind that shakes the Nettals!" 😂😂😂
Thanks a million for uploading this!!
No problem at all.
Love that they said Ian Paisley was in the ra
Love these guys. We don't see nearly enough of them...Love how the Oscar Wilde puppet looks more like Stephen Fry than the great man himself...
Do the Rubberbandits count as a legitimate source for my Irish history essay?
Yurt!
@@jamesog8802 grand actually. ngl watching this video a few times did help me a bit 😅

Unfortunately not, sorry. I can't find it anywhere either.
@@bigleebrink no worries, hopefully it pops up somewhere eventually
@@niamhlovesmh87 Hopefully. 🤞🏻
Only just discovered Rubberbandits yesterday (I apologise profusely) I’m already absorbed into all their incredible humour and satire, obviously as a Brit I never heard of them, probably because they manage to effortlessly shit on them hahahaha
Awesome dude! Fellow Brit here too. It's cool that you found the Bandits. Yurt!
Blindboy also does a great podcast
Lol. When they're arguing over who knows Irish history better, and completely getting it wrong, I can confirm as a citizen of their hometown of Limerick, that's hilariously accurate to the subculture they're making parody of lmao. I actually knew one or two guys (sort of Irish versions of chavs) in Limerick for real who'd cheer for the IRA and ultra nationalism but didn't even know what the national flag looked like. One guy was convinced it was green, white, and gold (it's green, white, and orange). He was sure I was wrong despite the fact I told him I was in the Army and saluted the flag every day. Yet he considered himself a nationalist. He hadn't a clue what he was talking about 😅 These Rubberbandits are only a slight exaggeration.
@@ansionnachbeagrioga5260 they say green white and gold because the orange is for the Protestants they know what the real colour is they just see it differently
@@chuckiearla4770 For some that might be the case, but it still doesn't excuse them because it's just bring wilfully ignorant. But the last guy I had to correct on it genuinely hadn't a clue. He was a born and bred Limerick man who considered himself a patriot but he was genuinely confused when I told him what the flag actually was. He told me I was wrong and when I asked him if he knew what the flag symbolised, he admitted he didn't know. He was in disbelief when I told him his actual history. He was what I call a plastic patriot, the type who's been in and out of prison and who's sole knowledge of history is listening to rebel songs.
04:10 Remember our teacher? Punky Madden.... I do indeed. I remember him well.
He used to drink turpentine and eat cornflakes out of a Trócaire box. That's priceless!

Go a way funny as fcuk
It was all great and fun till the killing of a fish suffocated for a voiceover. Smart ppl like you should know that death and pain are a fun thing only when one's so brain injured to be unable to connect with anything but with one's own desperate desire for empathy, then what the hell were you at with it.
Seriously, it was such a smart movie till the fish thing, why ruin such a good movie with it damn it.
@janlaag the fish is already dead, you can see the cut along its belly where it's been gutted. You can even see the string used to open its mouth like a puppet.
@@lorlorslinger9617thanks for correcting me view, still tho what does that changes besides how the fish died?
As a Scotsman it’s sad what the Irish feel for Black and Tan. The real Black and Tans we’re not monsters. English turned this sour
when you burn a city to the ground the people there dont tend to like you
What do you mean
@@codypower4298 read into it
I mean you lot got in Mel Gibson to fight the English…heard he’s not even Scottish
Oh, so the atrocities weren't committed by "real Black and Tans"? Good to know.
