You are welcome to ask any questions about the items for sale on my sales page, I will try to answer as soon as I can. Please understand that I can not take the time anymore to answer questions like "Do you think Mexican Fenders are better than Korean Epiphones" or "What's your favourite stompbox under $ 100?" and other general gear-questions. I understand that the casual and informal way of internet communication is inviting to ask anything you ever wanted to know about guitars. However, I get about 150 emails a day (!) just like these, it would take many hours each day just to respond to all these general questions. That is simply impossible to do. However, questions related to items on my inventory I'll try to answer quickly

Great demo! Also goes to show that tone isn't in the fingers - it comes from the teddy bear holding up the mic!

Played one of these at GC with an EVH superstrat. This amp blew me away! Now that's what you call T-O-N-E! Crank the gain and this thing Rocks! Best amp I ever played!

I went into a local music store a few months back and plugged into the new little Vox amp that I'd never seen before. It blew my AC15 Hand Wired out of the water. Looked at the price tag - wow!!! I left with a new amp. Fast forward half a year... I've sold my AC15HW, sold my Vibrolux RI, sold my 5e3 Deluxe. I'm now down to this cheap little AC10 and my JTM45. Honestly the AC10 sees above 90% of playing time.
Initially I experimented with different speakers. Greenback, Creamback, coupla Jensens. The stock speaker was lifeless and britrle at first, but I figured I'd toss it back in and let it break in properly. One day it just clicked, and I'm convinced that it's the best speaker for this amp. There's something to be said about a speaker designed for a specific amp. The Greenback was too flubby, the Jensens were too brittle, the Creamback was just too much. After break-in the stock speaker warmed up a tonne, but at the same time is much more articulate. I'll run the amp into my 2×10 cab (Heritage Greenback and a Jensen P10Q) for extra volume when needed, but Im a little embarassed to say that I like the sound coming from the stock 10" better. I beg of you tone junkies; please give this little speaker a few months playing time, you will not regret it! The highs become much tamer (I can actually use the teble knob and not just have it at 0), and the whole thing just opens right up.

I had the same experience with my Fender Champion 20 amp. It twas just ok for many months but then one day when I turned it on it was a completely different sounding amp. The speaker had finally broken in. It was a very noticeable change in the tone and volume.

wallis222 i did do all that as well and also threw a g10 vintage in there as well, but the eminence rf10c takes the cake easy, plus its 100.4db and can now keep up in a loud band setting

I have a new one, played it for a few hours so far with my Tele. Very bright, but getting better (I may just be getting better with finding good tones). My favourite setting at the moment for house volume is bass and treble off completely, gain 12 o'clock, master 9 o'clock. Awesome.

This amp was made for the Strat..... I run my 57’ and 59’ reissues and they both have a Stellar tone with it. The Vox AC10C1VS has even a better speaker on it. Vox did a great job bringing back this amp, it has everything you need and is not heavy to carry on. I gig with mine every weekend in church, SM57 in front of the speaker, run it clean with a Morning Glory and couple delays In the input. It’s the best tone I have in my 35 years of playing guitar 🎸

I bought two. Splitting the signal with a multi effects pedal and playing in stereo. Bought a Brian May signature gold top and am looking into a treble boost. For now the multi pedal is doing fine. These are all tube amps and The Vox chime is there. there is also a surprisingly good amount of bass for 10 inch speakers. More bass I think personally than the AC15 that I tried out. The. Digital reverb is good in one amp and it comes and goes in the other, but I use the multi pedal anyway so, meh. These things are loud for the 11 by 12 room that I practice in, but I wouldn’t trade them. Really great tone. Right up there with my Fender twin but with “chime”.

Guys. The AC10 somehow just has that "something." I'm the type who likes my amps the bigger the better (ac30's, twin reverbs, etc.) but I was blown at how much better the AC10 was compared to both of its bigger brothers. I will be getting one to run through my vintage silvertone 2x12 cab. For now, my AC4TV head makes do.

I have this amp and really enjoy it. There are only 2 things that need to be remembered, this amp needs about 20 hour of play in time when fresh out of the box, and it requires about 2 hours warm-up before it starts to sing.

In my AC4, the stock Chinese tubes sound awesome. In my AC10 - they rattle like hell! Making it awful! I have to replace them at some point or put those anti rattle rings on them. Seems like everyone complains about the stock tubes in the AC10. I have not heard many complaints though about the AC4 stock tubes

Just picked up a used one, wanted one for awhile though not typically a Vox guy. I’m selling my Blues Jr. 4 which is a great amp also. For low volume gain this has a bit more compression and more bottom end than the Jr. don’t know the differences at higher volume. It’s a bit wider but shorter and less deep than the Jr, I like the smaller footprint. Really nice amp from clean through high gain.

+James Adams I researched for a light weight tube amp under or about $500. Stumbled on to this one. I've had Blues Jrs for years. Bit more and heavier. Ive had the Fender Pro Jr 15 watts. You could never ever play out with it. It turns to mudd very quickly. A guy offered me a brand new one for $200 and I passed. Check out the Sweetwater review on this amp. He maxes the amp out a bit more. For me playing just trio, I like it a lot.

I picked up my ac10 2wks ago on a trade. For an amp this size I was blown away. For my ears at top volumes it was clean and clear. When I brought the dirt up it was clean and dirty. Sounds like an oxymoron but this amp is great. I know tastes change from player to player but with pedals and the lick of your fingers you can get any tone you want out of this amp. My only con is, you can hear tube rattle with the stock tubes. I'm going to change tubes soon. Blessings!

Really cool amp, I was looking to have a back up for my blues jr I gig with and honestly the vox is much warmer sounding.

I put a Celestion Greenback G10 in mine as well as some JJ EL84s to pick up on some volume/reduce some bottom end flab. I'd hightly recommend it.

Great sounds, what were your settings for the last 2 minutes (3:05 till end). Bought this amp as soon as came out and changed speaker to g10 greenback that took from my AC4 that i had for a few years. I upgraded tubes to jj 12at7, 12ax7 and sovtek el84's. Stays cleaner a little longer and sounds much better than stock. Now if I could only play like this guy. To think I wasted.money on cab grabber microphone holder when I could just steal one of my kids teddy bears

@A M I had AC4C12 in my bedroom. Able to play only when no one home.

Impascetic FinalP I will second that, I have the 10” version and I can only play when nobody is home, which is the same speaker the ac10 has. Absolutely no crunch at all at the levels I play with when other people are around, maybe the AC4tv with that wattage reduction switch is the answer? I am starting to believe there is no such thing as a bedroom amp

That guitar was made in 1957 and has probably seen many gigs, and changed artists hands for 60 years. It's a sign that the guitar had a proper history. So you can excuse it from the occasional wear and tear on the fretboard.
