i don’t think most believe he was a bad player but he could never stay healthy; when player is hurt he’s always trying to come back to what he was so he doesn’t really have the off-season to improve himself, but he has stayed healthy and now he’s able to develop more arsenal to his game
As a huge Partizan fan, I'm super happy for Dante for finding his way in Dalas and I hope he'll stay healthy and help the team. I'm also immensely proud to hear the name of my favorite team in a video by one of the best NBA analytics and especially the part that he still follows what his former team does. We believe that Partizan is like a family and even one year is enough to be hooked till the end of time :) Many thanks for this video, it was a true joy to watch.
We were all very sad when it was announced he would leave Partizan, but deep down we knew that he belongs in the NBA. He is an amazing person and deserves everything good happening to him, and he will always have our support. His father was a great person too, he came to Belgrade to watch him and loved our crowd. @@Turas. I hope Ponitka will turn things round in Belgrade. Right now he is Zeljkos doghouse. Going there was a challange, but it did not pay out plus he played with an injury. I hope our national team wont suffer because of this.
As an Aussie and a Mavs fan, I'm so glad to see this guy come back with a vengeance. Makes such a difference to this team and is a pure baller. Makes the right play all the time.
I’m not even a Partizan fan, heck, I am an Efes fan but I’m so glad to see Dante performs well in NBA. I’ve felt for him after he was brutally attacked by Yabusele from Real Madrid, and those guys came away unpunished with all their guilts and won the Euroleague. I have supported Partizan that day because of this so its good to see Dante does pretty well back in USA.
100%. Once he was signed here a lot of us started doing our research and I cannot believe the lack of responsibility and discipline the Euroleague allowed. That was strait up criminal assault. He didn’t even do anything and could have ended up paralyzed. Glad Dante’s here now and healthy. He will be loved and cherished in Dallas.
Damn, that's crazy. I remember him getting drafted, then never really hearing much about him again. I'm glad he's making a comeback. He seems like a good person. 👍
I thought it was just him going crazy against the Lakers but he really has transformed his game in Europe and it's translating here! Playing with Luka also eases the burden which is great for his self-confidence cause he's showing he's got the skills now
We love Dante here in Dallas. Glad they’ll have him another year after this and hope they offer an extension asap. He slides in next to Luka and or Kai perfectly while playing lock down defense.
yeah at the olympics I was surprised to see him back, I thought he was done, but he was a big part of our bronze. Also interesting to see 3 Aussies now on Dallas. All the Aussies being in Brooklyn a few seasons ago was what got me liking them, paring them now with Luka who's one of my favourite players is a match made in heaven, they'll provide the grit so Luka and Kyrie can do their thing.
I'm so glad you covered Exum because his story has been so underrated. One thing to add is that he is scoring at such a remarkable efficiency - 80%FG over a stretch of eight games at one point. And his 0.5PPM is incredible considering he needs to share the floor with Luka, Kyrie and THJ
I am a Jazz fan and watched Exum get started. He was always so close to making it and kept having freak injuries. I am so glad to see him reaching his potential.

Love the video. Always good to see a player finally put it together. People forget that all these players drafted high are supremely talented and athletic. Sometimes the game, situation, coaching, organization, bad luck and many other things just prevents a player from reaching their potential
Love Dante Exum! He's taken a lot of risks, and sometimes paid a heavy price, to play for the Boomers and give us a chance to be in the medals, and every Aussie basketball fan is grateful to him for that. Plus, he managed to turn his NBA exile into a strength. I'd wager that his European playing experience is now a strong point of connection for him and Doncic.
Dante and Lively are incredibly important pieces to the Mavs story right now. These are the types of players you need to surround your superstar players.
Haters claim Luka doesn't make teammates better. Look at this guy Exum getting a lot of wide open 3s a game. Same for Grant Williams and Derrick Jones Jr having career year. Even 19 year old Derrick Lively looking like prime DeAndre Jordan playing alongside Luka.
Haters are ignorant. They just assume KP was healthy or JB was good enough to stay on the floor ( he could NOT in both clippers series ) while ignoring the obvious stats proving he helps his teammates. Dinwiddie shot 40% from 3 last year and 30% as soon as he didn’t have Luka. He has helped DJJ with a comeback as well. It’s all about match ups, even with teammates as some do what others can’t. Exum, DJJ, THJ, Seth, these guys all benefit tremendously with with wide open threes. Kyrie getting hurt sucks but it may have been the best thing for this rosters depth because now we know exum is for real.

Lifelong Mavs fan here. The Mavs are 6-6 in the last 12 games without Kyrie Irving. Take away Exum (even with Luka) that 6-6 record easily becomes 3-9 or 2-10 in Kyries absence.

He has probably got his dieting, excercise and life habits in a better place now than he had back then... Meaning he gets enough rest and recovery for his body. He was probably stretching it too thin before... And there are like 30-40 fewer games in Europe per year so it has helped him a lot. And he is probably not trying to do too much anymore. He had a lot of ballast on his shoulders with the high draft pick that he didn't know how to deal with it. Awesome video
I wish Dante would come back to Partizan one day and lead them to the top of Europe. Or...to sign a huge Jalen 100M contract in 2 years since the way he is playing and behaving, he deserves every dollar.
Partizan 🤍🖤 I loved watching Exum play last year for our team, he was a really mature player and an excellent defender, who could also be a sniper 3 point shooter ( reliable shooter at least) god bless him 🤍
Luka Unlocks a players true skill.
Gotta root for him, he was my fav base jumpshot back in 2K22 😂
I watched Dante Exum drop 29 on the Timberwolves as a Cavalier in like 2018
