      i don’t think most believe he was a bad player but he could never stay healthy; when player is hurt he’s always trying to come back to what he was so he doesn’t really have the off-season to improve himself, but he has stayed healthy and now he’s able to develop more arsenal to his game

I'm also immensely proud to hear the name of my favorite team in a video by one of the best NBA analytics and especially the part that he still follows what his former team does. Haters claim Luka doesn't make teammates better. Look at this guy Exum getting a lot of wide open 3s a game. Same for Grant Williams and Derrick Jones Jr having career year. Even 19 year old Derrick Lively looking like prime DeAndre Jordan playing alongside Luka.

      Haters are ignorant. They just assume KP was healthy or JB was good enough to stay on the floor ( he could NOT in both clippers series ) while ignoring the obvious stats proving he helps his teammates. Dinwiddie shot 40% from 3 last year and 30% as soon as he didn’t have Luka. He has helped DJJ with a comeback as well. It’s all about match ups, even with teammates as some do what others can’t. Exum, DJJ, THJ, Seth, these guys all benefit tremendously with with wide open threes. Kyrie getting hurt sucks but it may have been the best thing for this rosters depth because now we know exum is for real.

He was probably stretching it too thin before... And there are like 30-40 fewer games in Europe per year so it has helped him a lot. And he is probably not trying to do too much anymore. He had a lot of ballast on his shoulders with the high draft pick that he didn't know how to deal with it. I watched this video then flipped on the jazz and mavs game. Only to see Exum go out of the game injured. You could not craft a more Exum moment if you tried. He gets a video about him and his come back. Only to see him go out with an injury against the team that drafted him.

    exam, Lively, Derrick Jones Jr, get Williams with Bullock
    Get almost everything right after such a bad one the season before to let go Brunson and then DFS in Kyrie trade

    I'm a Mavs fan and I am so happy that people are slowly starting to notice Dante's impact in Dallas. I'm almost sure that players that come back from overseas can't win MIP, but if they could ... I just don't like how you made it look like signing Dante was a desperation move from the Mavs. They more so just took a chance and hit big time.

    • @iamchaunceman
      @iamchaunceman Год назад

      Mavs hired ex Jazz executive Dennis Lindsay as a consultant to Nico. Pretty sure he still kept tabs on Dante after getting traded from Utah. He’s one of many who never gave up on him because he believed in his game. Sometimes throwing a kid to the wolves doesn’t work. Dante was one of those, Lebron wasn’t. But mavs were desperate for D. Still are. And Dallas had an inside track with Lindsay. So it’s both.

    • @borgradisek4207
      @borgradisek4207 Год назад

      @@iamchaunceman Yes, but they did not sign Dante to solve their defense. They took a chance on him being worth a minimum and he's now one of the best contracts in the league.

    How can you compare Lukas situation before the Draft with this? On the one hand a Euroleague mvp as teenager and then Exum without a pro team.

  • @MurakamiFan

    Dante was always a raw prospect. The rookie numbers weren't surprising. Unfortunate that he lost years of development thru injury. The shoulder injury was probably the most demoralising. By the time he found consistency in health, the Jazz were in win-now mode with a regular playoff team. Quin Snyder had him on the shortest leash known to man and those teething mistakes he would've been afforded in his earlier years weren't there anymore. He would often get subbed after a few possessions.
