The Celtics remind me so much of the recent 49ers. Have glorious histories, have So many conference finals, a finals trip/Super Bowl trip, and arguably the most stacked roster in the past few years, made big splashes in talent acquisition(cmc for the niners, porzingis for the Celtics) yet somehow can’t win it all. And they’ve both lost to two teams with similar super stars who have dominated recently. Steph curry with four rings and pat maholmes with three rings.

Celtics are winning with their talent they have so many great ISO players. But the question is still Mazulla if he can make adjustments on a series. @@politicfrogDon't know if y'all watched the Celtics for real, because they have been using Porzingis to utterly destroy zone defenses putting him middle which since he can shoot over anybody but Wemby from that spot instantly breaks the zone.
He also doesnt have certain plays but his tactic to have Porzingis space out and have guards be in the dunker spot meaning there is zero paint protection covering against cuts(which they constantly use) is basically why they are so efficient and why they get so many open 3's because teams are extremely tight on covering these cuts.
Basically there is a reason they are performing historically like they do which isnt just about the players but 100% also about the coach.
I'd say only the Heat and Nuggets are actually capable of stifling the Celtics come playoff time and those are very good teams as well.
I honestly don't see the issue that much. Just like how the Celtics lost vs the Warriors who were just a great team as well.

MDJ - in his response video to supermaxing Jaylen Brown - used the contrast of the C's rating differential to their win differential as a way of showing they've always had a late-game execution problem, and supermaxing JB wouldn't fix any of those issues. And while I think Mazzula deserves at least some criticsm for just allowing Tatum to continue to iso all the time, this team is not going to win any rings if they can't adjust their roster, lineups, or plays in order to fix this. The 2024 chip is the Nuggets to lose.

@@H.B172 Why should I judge a team by the last 6 Games and not by the 55 Games before that? That is called recency bias. Also, I pointed out more than just their bad defense and still, every point is true. Even if Doc Rivers is somehow a great regular season coach (which he isn't), be would still be a liability in the playoffs and the Bucks' second round exit will prove that. Mark my words

Honestly I think the best strategy for the Celtics in the clutch is a drive to the paint lob to KP. I don’t think many can stop a 7’4 catching a ball an dunking

The Celtics need to prove they can take the pressure and win when it counts. If they come close and loose again , it would be really hard to overcome.

One way to phrase it: other players are not scared of anyone on the Celtics, especially not on both ends of the courts - with Porzingis maybe being the closest thing to being scary.

Tatum should realize that even if he’s the alpha, his team as a whole is better than his one-on-one. Pretty obvious their mistakes is that they expect him to bail them out.

The biggest problem in the Boston Celtics is the defensive stop in the three point line.they don't know how to defend the shooter.if they do screening the defender is too far to block the shots.

Even the largest Celtic homer doesn't feel confident in that situation.

Would totally agree with this. Big changes are coming for the Celtics irregardless of whether they win it or not this year. But if they don't it could fast track those changes. Hoping tatum gets it done this year but you never know.
