Love the car seat and stroller tests …I still like to look of the EV6 better but this one looks a smidge more practical

Good review thanks. Always thought that the X3 is the perfect size for an SUV. Electrifying the X3 makes it even more desirable. Maybe I'll raid my piggy bank.... or someone else's 😎

Great video. What would you guess it would do range wise at a constant 120kph motorway cruise? I’d love to go electric but the Cork to Dublin and back in the same day is a regular trip for me.

Winter time circa 275 km on motorway and closer to 350km in summer.

Bought one 2 weeks ago. I have not done any longer trips but extrapolating shorter trips I’d say 300km in winter (0 Celsius). Probably 50km more in summer

Share your view/experience😍- I wanted to hate this converted fossil and ended up buying one. If you, like myself, loved the beige interior, you gotta snatch a pre-facelifted one coz this interior is now gone baby gone

Enjoyable as always Sinead,BUT, even with my glasses off the front of that is still ugly 🤣. Comfort, drivability and good range which is what I look for in a vehicle but you've also got to look at the vehicle and enjoy how it looks. Unless of course you never park the car in such a way that you have to see the front. 👍

Great review Sinead, having said that since when is 71k Euro reasonable? Also the wheels look horrible and if it was my money I think I'd go for the Kia tho' even it in base spec Earth trim is like all other EVs far too expensive. The problem also as I see it is it's a petrol/diesel SUV with an electric motor rather than a bespoke platform meaning it's very compromised in terms of space and layout. To me it's a BMW so it's going to be hideously overpriced to start off and as an EV it's even more hideously overpriced.

Yes, it’s on the higher side of pricing - but if you compare it to the other BMW X3, with the same level of equipment, you’ll find that the iX3 is actually _cheaper_. And I believe that’s the first - all other manufacturers offering EV and ICE versions of the same model, EV will be higher or much higher in pricing. You can really call it “fair” for a BMW.
What I found when I did my research (many years ago) was that BMWs (or other premium brands for that matter) are very sought for on the second hand market. So your purchasing price is higher, but as will be your selling price. This is also how you can get quite reasonable leasing deals on premium brands.
As to the “converted, thus compromised ICE” - that’s not quite true. After spending billions for a dedicated EV platform i3, that didn’t sell quite as expected for a very long time, BMW decided to play safe and build a universal platform, that could carry all 3 drivetrains: ICE, PHEV and BEV. There’s actually no compromise with iX3 compared to a “normal” X3. Yes, you don’t have a frunk - but neither do you on a dedicated ID.4 (+ Skoda/Audi)

Not a fan of this car, it is just the same dated design X3 with electric outfit.
