Ingredients for making pizza dough:
3/4 cup warm water
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp salt
Olive oil

Some advice:DON'T USE A METAL SPOON to make a yeast mixture,it destroys properties in the yeast that makes the doe more fluffy and rise better.

Useful advice: make the dough very very soft
It should be a little sticky
After you knead the dough it develops gluten so becomes less stickier
Second advise:
Don't panic
I have made dough many and manyy times I used to think that my dough won't turn out right and it won't rise, and was always panicked
But one day I decided not to panic and overthink and that day my dough turned out PERFECTT
And now I don't even follow recipes I eyeball all the ingredients kind of make my own recipes
What😟 my dough is put together but not soft oh shit I just made it right NOW and it’s waiting to rise what do I do?! Please answer 😭😭😭

if it's not soft that does not mean it'll turn bad or
Won't rise that means it will not be as gud as it could've been
Secondly you can just
Add warm milk to it and knead it for 3-4 minutes it'll be perfect :)

I love these pizzas for my family of 7 🍕😍🙌🏾
3/4 cup of warm water
1 pack of yeast(2 1/4 tsp)
1/2 tbsp of sugar
2 cups of flour
1/2 tbsp of sugar
3/4 tsp of salt
Cook on 425 for 12-15 minutes
use honey instead of sugar!

Try putting the dough in the fridge for 24 hours. Slows the yeast down and keeps some sugar in the dough.
Most pizza restaurants use this method for a tastier dough/crust.

@@meganthings depending on where you live (cold enough climate) like I am in New Zealand. Outside in a covered bowl overnight (it's like a fridge anyway haha)

Italian tip:
If you use your home oven put a Little olive oil in the mix too, and keep everything well wet, so that it can endure longer baking in a lower temperature than an actual professional pizza oven. Also you don't need to use that much yeast if you wait more time.
The easiest way to mix all your ingredients inside the bowl is still gonna work there's no need to separate anything.

OK. This is the best recipe ever. This is my second time making it, and I finally found the key to the “cottonish “ pizza. Lol. Use bread flour! I followed this recipe almost exactly, but just replaced the all purpose flour with King Arthur bread flour and it was the absolute best. Reminds me of Dominoes or Papa John dough softness. Lol

I’m trying it tonight 😋. ~~If you haven’t tried the simple dough with just plain yogurt & self rising flour yet you need to. No reason not to have a couple good recipes for when the cupboards are bare 😅. Shotgun Red has the mix ratio but it’s simply plain yogurt (not Greek) & self rise flour to make a shaggy dough. Add toppings. ~~Thanks again for your recipe.. it looks like a keeper 👌💯💯

Leave the dough in the fridge for 24-48 hrs and it will have a great taste

Think of bathwater as the ideal temp... anything higher will kill the yeast

My dough turned out super wet/sticky. I know the dry measurements were perfect. Any idea what could’ve caused this?
late response but just add flour to the dough in-case it's too wet and sticky

Dont use your hand to mix it in the bowl mix the dough with spoon until it doesnt feel like sticky anymote then you knead it

Guys, you don’t need that much time to do things with the yeast because you can literally just add it to your floor yeast sugars and salt and then you can mix it and then pull water. It’s much easier.
Anyone know how much yeast for 4 cups flour?? And should i just double what this recipe says??
