We do a Facebook Live (like this one) every Thursday at 2:00 pm Mountain time, and we're working on a bunch of others like a V8 build diary and product into. Watch this space!
We are not familiar with the specific laws in your state, so we suggest talking with your local Miata club or DMV for that answer. As far as safety, we highly recommend roll bars in almost any Miata to keep the passengers from being crushed in the scenario of a roll over. Please reach out to us at support@flyinmiata.com for more info or specifics on this particular product. Thanks!
The tallest NA/NB bar we carry is the M1 Hard Core: flyinmiata.com/products/m1-hard-dog-hard-core It fits under both soft tops and hardtops without side latches.
OK, i need to know something... Will a hardtop work with the M2 hardcore roll bar?? the regular hardcore bar, not the hardtop version. I am reading conflicting answers on the internet. some people say yes it will fit, others say it won't. What is your experience with this bar?
It will definitely interfere with the side latches and may or may not come into contact with the top itself - that comes down to tolerances. You can use bolt-in hardtop mounts to address the first problem. If you already have the bar and are considering a hardtop, borrow one and see. If you already have a hardtop and are considering the bar, get the Hardtop version.
would the m1/m2 sport roll bar be tall enough for a 6'0 person to get under the broom stick ? I'm looking at selling my impreza and getting a miata that already has a harddog sport roll bar in it. I sat in it but it had the hardtop on it and it was hard to tell how close I was. also still has the stock LS trim leather seats in it. nb 2005 miata.
That depends on your personal geometry. At 6' and above, it gets difficult. If you can't wear your helmet with the hardtop on, you'll never get under a roll bar.
@@FlyinMiataVideo thanks I guess I need to put my helmet on and go back to the seller and seat in the seats. the stock seats are still in it but if I buy it. down the road I would more or likely get buckets depending on what fits in the miata and I seat right in.
We include instructions with our bars. It's the same basic installation procedure as with other generations of Miatas, but of course it's the details you'll need.
We offer a lot of bars and there are a bunch of different Miata variants. The best thing to do is call us and we’ll figure out the right bar for your needs.
It's a test of helmet clearance. You lay a broomstick (real or imaginary) over the top of the roll bar and the top of the windshield. Your helmet should be below that line.
Which I watched this video before I bought my roll bar. Much better description than what they have on the websites.
Heck yeah Eric is the bomb! Love you guys!
Thanks for posting this! Very informative and it is nice to see how it actually looks.
What seats and roll bar are in that silver Miata? I’m 6’’4’
Thank you for posting this! You guys should do more videos!

So I’m interested in the fat boy any chance you guys provided in different colors?
They only come in black.
I want to buy the ND roll bar, is it safe and legal to drive in public road without a helmet in state of WA?

that's a sweet Mazdaspeed! any idea what kind of seats those are?
They were in the car when they got here, but we believe they're from a Lotus Elise.
they look nice! been enjoying the videos lately
Yes. They are Lotus Elise seats. They definitely seat you much lower than the factory ones! Loved mine.
How would one go about installing a roll bar for the nd?
We include instructions with our bars. It's the same basic installation procedure as with other generations of Miatas, but of course it's the details you'll need.
Other than the 'fat boy' could you name each of the type of rollbars so that I know which to order?

@@FlyinMiataVideo I see, thanks for dropping some knowledge.
What seats in that nb???
Lotus Elise seats.
If the Elise seats sit lower than stock, head clearance claims should be noted or revised for a 6’1” human.
Added a note in the description.
Flyin' Miata video Well done
No duece bar dang
Hii im yusuf
It's funny:
3'10" for de NB
A quick 1'10" for the failed (non daily) NC rollbars
And some funny 30" for the ND...
FAIL!
