For the toilets , you can bring down the shower curtain pipes or rails to a lower level so that the curtains cover the lower parts . The curtain pipes seem too high up almost at the ceiling or secondly you can fix a shower sliding glass cubicle. If you don’t get the exact size of your shower , it could be Custom made . Fiber glass could be used as well
For shower fiberglass or glass surround is advisable. They can custom make

A beautiful home you have. I personally wouldn't change the colour in the kitchen. You have lots of furniture in the house with that wood brown, so having cabinets in a similar colour would give the kitchen harmony (if that's the right word) with the rest of the house.
For the curtains to become blackout, you can consider adding a lining.
That's the best length for the kitchen curtain... Otherwise it gets soggy if close to the sink or a fire hazard when close to a cooking point.

Your kids look really well taken care of. The efforts of batch cooking are paying off real good. About the art piece to hang at the landing area, if it were I would get an artist to paint a family picture. If not possible for whatever reasons I would work on a family portrait taken by a camera put on a board a really large board.

Hi Suzy. Lovely home. I love the transformation so far. SOLUTION FOR SHOWER CURTAINS - for fabric shower curtains you can get 3 and use one to lengthen the other 2. You can get creative and colour block. All the best as you enjoy your new home. Good paint for the cabinet will work. You may even find that a lighter colour would work excellent with your backsplash. The colour recommendations for the cushion is on point. I like th L shape that you now have, however it looks off because one couch goes behind the other. I would recommend the you try and U shape recommended to see how it looks....it may grow on you. I would not recommend getting another sofa. You and even try putting the 2 smaller where the long one is to see it that can work.

Nice, loving the process and progress by the entry way you Could also get a bench that doubles as a shoe rack, you someone can sit and put on shoes.
You can buy two more then cut them and let a tailor add them to the current ones to cut on cost. I will do this for sure because I live the colour. Or as Maimuna said, you can drop the pipes.

Suzy it is short because most shower curtains are not hung to close to the ceiling. If you have a sewing machine you could sew a white shower curtain to the bottom of the ones that are so pretty. It would still work perfectly.
You can add a large mirror and console table in the entry way. I suggest getting a console table with storage which can serve as a shoe rack

On the sofas, the U-shaped would work so well because you have the extra space. I have an ottoman where I store my bed linen and towels. It sits at the end of bed and can be used as a little comfy bench as well because the cover is cushioned. Life saver! Other then that, I will keep stealing your ideas!😉

He Suzy, yes Paint the cabinets white. I believe it would make it look open. I commend you for a family of six, you have over half of the home completed. It will definitely take time for you to get the look you want with family, job, etc. Yes you should bring the couch over because ev1sitting can see each other. I feel you should have that divider from sitting room and eating area. Paint the bricks in the entry room white too.

Then about the couches... I would suggest it remains the way it is... Its kinda open to the dining area which is actually bringing out a beautiful space....
Things are moving on well good work. For the kitchen cabinets maybe the white color will do justice.
I bought shower curtains from box. They were so long I had to cut them. Check them out, you might just find the right size. Alternatively you could consider lowering the rails.

Leave living area as is. I like the concept of space but still degrees of separation. No to the white couches. Use a shelving unit for a pantry in the kitchen which can house some of the appliances when finished using and thus keep counters clear. Try pumpkins for ground cover, maybe cassava and sweet potato and yam as well. Pygmy palms are slow growing and should look nice in the pots.

You had me laughing with the bathroom curtain intro and all. I understand your stress, but it is funny, You may have to get custom made. The white in the kitchen will raise it to another level, I currently have brown cabinets and it sure feels closed in. The room with all the stuff 🤔 just keep the door closed do a bit at a time and soon there too would be cleared up. The living room chairs could be moved around don't add it will make the space crowded. Don't worry you just moved it takes a while to get things organized. I love your kitchen garden blessed hands. For the curtains, I'd buy another curtain of the same clours n cut it into halves n get smbody to extend n sew it to those increase the length of those.

Back agin I just had a idea for the hall photo gallery to cove the undesirable wires and electrical box u could do a light weight family art piece that u all create and have it be suspended from the ceiling lowing it down to the level u need it will cover the things u don’t want to be seen and still have the galley u will love /bathroom maybe lower the rods here in the US 🇺🇸 we don’t have shower curtains rods that high it is typically the same level as the tub shower combo I hope something will help u 👍🏾 ur entry way we would call that area a sun porch with sitting and plants with tables it will be perfect to enjoy on rainy days with a nice cup or tea/coffee ♥️♥️♥️♥️ every room is more than just a pass through space
You can just adjust the shower curtain rails lower soo that the shower curtains can fit the shower tray well..
Plus I wouldn't advice you to change the kitchen cabinet color the wood color looks perfect though I would obviously add in more lights to boost the lighting system in the kitchen and also paint bright white color on the ceiling and the remaining wall spaces in the kitchen

Beautiful home. You have lots of room in your bedroom, get a super king or emperor size bed.
Suzy, why don't you put artificial grass on one end for the kids to play on. It is easy to maintain as you can hoover it. You can also make your own compost for your garden by using kitchen waste. Just find a large enough bucket.
Your bedroom is soo spacious. What happened to the reading table in the room from the old house .

I love everything the children’s room is perfect they are close together 👍🏾for the stairs landing large window u could get the window extension it is called a telescope squeegee it will help u clean the windows without using a ladder 🪜 👍🏾u can also get a window rod graber as well to help u get the rod down no ladder needed sis I also have a idea for the living room u could get a accent chair with the pop of color u love and take one of the love sets out and place it into another area of the house like ur office or the classroom in my homeschool classroom we have a love set and a dining room table to get the hight we needed to get the love set at the level of the table we added wooden foot risers so on one side of the table it looks more like a bench for 2 and 4 additional chairs around the table my 4 daughters love it and 2 are twins 😉 they all still have room for lab tops and books this may help with the bookshelf and play floor space u will need no matter what I know I will have a front row set waiting for ur next video 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
You need to lower the telescopic bar( the curtain holders), they don’t have to be that high ….. your head doesn’t touch the shower head so you need to bring them down some cms
For the shower curtains,buy two more and sew them to make them longer
For your curtains, you can buy curtain lining, there are fabrics like Calico which make curtains/Drapes thick and will not let in a lot of light.
Also when you add the curtain lining they will not fade with the sun. I hope this helps 🙂
