I have a 2019 Speed Triple RS that I have 15,000+ miles on now including a trip down to Tail of the Dragon last fall. Incredible machine, I just love it. Everything you said in the review fits my experience exactly. The RS will pull as hard as a Tuono or Streeetfirghter; but they'll pull away after about 120mph. Here's the rub on that though - on a naked bike, doing those types of speed is extremely unpleasant. There's no wind protection; it's brutal and uncomfortable. I don't play in that speed range though, I'm just a guy. The torque on this machine sold me the first time I hopped on it and to this day... it's still a thrill. Smooth and fast. I love it.

Great video! I have a 2006 ZX14 and am on the verge of buying a 2020 RS or another ZX14. I love the look of the RS and can get a good deal with the new model coming out. Given you had a ZX14, how does this compare in your opinion ?

Awesome on the zx! Nothing like that power. The speed triple pales in comparison to raw power and top speed of the zx ( may have maxed that out on a private track...). But, the speed triple is plenty powerful and good to about 120-130 ( no wind protection gets brutal) and the handling on the speed triple is insanely better than the zx. On the other hand the zx is a better “touring” bike because of the shear size. Given that I don’t want to go to jail I’d take the speed triple hands down and it’s still very fast. Also make sure and check out the new model coming out, the speed triple 1200. It’ll be a much closer power gap to the zx.

Awaiting delivery of my 2020 Triumph 1050 RS .I'm coming off a string of big bikes including track bikes from years back.. It's my goldilocks bike . I,m older now and a re-entry rider. comfy! upright, and prolly could "go round outside" of a few mohawk sporting squids if it chose to. The new 1200 ,by several accounts ,is little too stiff for covering miles.
Too much spring and rebound. And the riding position wouldn't help either. Besides a torquey 135-ish wheel horse power is enough for the street in any scenario or a track day. Stoked ,should be delivered with in next couple of days. ! ooh and this geezer got heated grips installed before it was sent out haha!
