I have one of these. It's really good. The perfect do everything city / suburb / fun machine. Easy to ride slow or fast. Wouldn't want to do 500 mile days on it though.
I've got a matt black 2020 1050 RS. It is an awesome piece of kit. One thing I need to get is the comfort seat. I've been advised by the Triumph dealer to get a trashed standard seat and reupholster it with good quality memory foam. Otherwise, two hours and the butt cheeks are completely numb!
Awesome series! Wish you were in the UK, got a sprint st 1050 that could do with a bit of love 😅 not many videos out on that bike but this sure helped! Hope you reach more subs!
Thanks! Yea I didn’t see much on the speed triple either only a few videos on the older models and some with the sprint so it’s awesome if this build helps other! Thanks again
Hi, great job and well done. I love the method, especially the labeling to avoid mistakes. Meticulous and organized.Do you have the technical manual for the motorcycle? I have the 2020 RS model and I would like to have its technical manual.
Yea I have done several super sport bike motor rebuilds (600cc) but this was the first big motor I have work on and all awhile nice to work on, it is a massive muscle bike motor for sure.
New Subscriber; I had heard: leaving a like and comment helps with the algorithm…. From what I am seeing, would it be safe to suggest: the owner crashed the bike, then in an attempted to cover it by installing shinny aftermarket parts to draw your eyes away from some of the carnage? I am suggesting this because of the crash pegs on the rear wheel. They look fine, but the hub is torched. And to break the case housing… Wondering if the previous owner was attempting a wheelie, failed and had a to laid it down; only to have the bike spin round and round.
Thanks really appreciate it! And yes when I talked to the owner he said he just “having fun on it and things went bad” but it is safe to assume it was a wheelie that went way past the balancing point and slammed straight down on to the stator cover. But all those carbon fiber pieces actually come on the RS model but they were covered in oils so there was no deceptions lol. Thanks again for the comment! And it does help
@@mendingmotos you’re most welcome. Carbon parts for that bike are amazingly well crafted. I was pondering the gold crash guard near the rear… Everything around it was battered, but not the exhaust nor the peg. Yet, the from handle bars took quite the “weight reduction” shave.
What material is this engine case made of? Have the same issue as you. In my case, the bike has no other damage whatsoever, only stator cover, stator and flywheel took damage. My flywheel looks like the magnets are coming out. Just check yours as well.
It was mainly dirt and gravel and only a few flakes of engine casing. I did inspect the magneto for damage and it looks fine. The magnets are imbedded right so does yours look bulged or something ?
Thanks! I just posted the full build without music: 2020 Speed Triple RS Complete Rebuild (FULL ENGINE REBUILD) ASMR ruclips.net/video/VhuQXlce2PA/видео.html
@@mendingmotos Excellent, I also own recently bought Triumph Street Triple, so I will watch, yours filming remind me on one channel on Yt its called CJ Media, keep on going 😊👌
@@mendingmotos As the series has gone on, I've got to like the music! Crack on as you are, I really enjoy watching what you're doing. I've not seen anyone else tear the 1050 down like this, and it serves as a good reference for everyone else looking at doing a job on the motor.

well the Clutchdiscs are missing xD
nice Content, i rly like it!
greetings from Germany
On this bike the clutch is on the other side but there is something missing. Nice guess!
@@mendingmotos nice to know! Wat is missing then? The starter?🤔 i have no clue 🤣
What’s missing is the stator as well as some threads are broken that are a part of the engine case
That's a big job
@@RideThe6I knowc 😅 it’s been awhile since I’ve had to crack a case open lol wish me luck !
You don't realise just how big that 1050 lump is, until you see it dropped out of the frame.

@@mendingmotos I'll send you a pic on IG.
@@DaRealTowStarralso i didn’t answer your first question, is cast aluminum.
Looks like it hit the crank end where the flywheel is mounted on... Could possible cause a balance issue.
That’s what I thought to but all checked out! Pheww
@@mendingmotos It's quite sturdy, but it's a risk if you can't see it running. Glad it worked out !
Thanks cheers!
Good luck on the repair, music spoilt it for me though
