With Nootropics, it's not that you become smarter, it's that you're more more alert, aware, focused, and able to concentrate for longer periods of time.

For me, Modafinil is fucking amazing. But you are right about multi-tasking. Forget it. Can't do it. But if you are working on something complex, it helps you concentrate on the task at hand and cut out all the noise. I used it to solve some very complex software engineering issues. And right now, I am taking it for a 70-page business plan I am working on. Really helps me to organize my thoughts and avoid all distractions. And it is not addictive. When you can triple your workload, then you don't feel any need to take it every day. Don't mix it with alcohol!

@@mjgII Well... the modafinil revs you up chemically (staves off fatigue). But the egg yolk, b-complex, and sardines provide the nutritional support needed for focus and endurance. Without it, modafinil wears you down just like every other stimulant. The components for fuel and repair have to originate from SOMEWHERE. If they aren't provided through nutrition, then it is cannibalized out of your own body and brain.
With that said, modafinil is a very clean stimulant... but NOT a replacement for rest and nutrition as many people seem to believe.

It certainly does do wonders - but you have to eat properly too.
I used to suffer from extreme brain fog, lethargy, etc. and about a decade ago (after watching limitless lol) I discovered the world of nootropics and while they helped immensely after I figured out how to balance things out, I also went through many periods where they made things more difficult for a short while.
I've experimented with modafinil, adrafanil, piracetam, pramiracetam, noopept, etc. and currently I'm taking (alongside a small amount of kratom for anxiety [would not recommend, after many years of kratom use coming off of it has been nearly as bad as benzo withdrawal *for me*]) phosphatidylserine and noopept only.
However, I know that if you aren't getting proper choline and other whatchamacallits things can get more fuzzy.
I'm a little off today because I had terrible sleep - but generally even after a moderate kratom dose, once I take my little combo (I'd hesitate to call it a 'stack' at this point lol) of noots - I'm clear as a (fairly distinct sounding) bell. :P

The movie is based off of a short story, wherein the story the pill actually allows one full recall of your memories from any point in time during your life. It is essentially the ultimate photographic memory. This allowed the character to utilize the information and turn it into applicable knowledge. At the end of that story they too imply that the character still hae the memory ability unlocked. An eiditic memory functions in a similar fashion only parallel.

Disparities aren't necessarily a bad thing. If things are disparate because one group is excelling, that's a great thing! The rising tide lifts all ships! If things are disparate because one group is being held down, that's a bad thing ... but someone improving themself doesn't keep others down. Get more vanilla and cinnimon into your diet, they naturally open up your tight junctures within your neurovascular network, allowing for more robust signal firing, couple this with more antixidants and metabilism boosters within one's diet and you do not need a pill. The only other thing would be to break down metals such as gold, silver, even copper and iron into their respective monoatomic forms and ingest them. Fun video. However, it would have been a lot more valuable if you:
    1. controlled for placebo (e.g. have a 3rd party replace half the pills with identical-looking dummy pills)
then log your results each day to see if there's any difference between _thinking_ you're on a nootropic and actually being on one.
    2. actually measured cognitive functions (e.g. your performance on dual n-back, which changes significantly based on how awake/alert you are)

The ethical concerns are completely valid, but I do think that coming up with nootropics that are tailor made for those who are neurodivergent would be extremely helpful, while reducing the side effects. Due to having a stress related mental health condition that is long-term, I cannot take caffeine, choline, or anything that drops my blood pressure too low, etc. and it would be nice to have customized therapies that work well for enhancing positively the way that my brain naturally works. In that case, I don’t consider it an unfair advantage, just something that could potentially take the current treatments a step further.

fasting and no sugar is bs. fasting is extremely unhealthy longterm, sugar is what human needs, going keto for longer than 2 weeks is unhealthy for the pancreas and thyroid - too stressful. check out bioenergetic diet, and taking active thyroid [t3/t4], its comparable to all of this. nofap i'd say nah, rather quitting PMO but without willpower [easypeasymethod or freedom model - kills any withdrawals etc].

Great video... Came here from Instagram and originally subbed for your camera content, but I dig this new style of video.
I've taken all of these and can anecdotally say, most of them have a strong placebo effect. Yet, I will say adaptogens in mushrooms do seem to have the most positive benefits for an OTC supplement.
Now, I take armodafanil every other morning (coupled with kratom) to edit videos...and it's fantastic! However, I only take it by myself when I need to focus on a singular task. If I'm around others or have to be a parent or a good partner, it's less than ideal as I tend to see social interactions as obstacles in the way of my productivity when I'm on it... But it definitely works! This seems to be true for Ritalin and the like, so I always caution people to not take them habitually and to be aware that they may get irritable unless they can get stuck in on one, rote task--like editing
    Again, great video!

Exercise has a significant impact on promoting neurogenesis and neuroplasticity. Here are some types of exercises that have been shown to be particularly effective:
    ### 1. **Aerobic Exercise:**
    - **Examples:** Running, swimming, cycling, brisk walking.
    - **Benefits:** Aerobic exercise is particularly effective at increasing the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a protein that supports neurogenesis and neuroplasticity. Regular aerobic activity has been linked to the growth of new neurons, particularly in the hippocampus, an area involved in memory and learning.
    ### 2. **Resistance Training:**
    - **Examples:** Weightlifting, bodyweight exercises (e.g., push-ups, squats).
    - **Benefits:** Resistance training can improve cognitive function and increase the release of growth factors that support brain health. It has been shown to enhance synaptic plasticity, particularly in older adults.
    ### 3. **High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT):**
    - **Examples:** Short bursts of intense exercise followed by rest or low-intensity exercise (e.g., sprinting followed by walking).
    - **Benefits:** HIIT has been shown to boost BDNF levels and promote neurogenesis. The intensity and variety of exercises can also stimulate different parts of the brain, enhancing overall cognitive function.
    ### 4. **Mind-Body Exercises:**
    - **Examples:** Yoga, tai chi, qigong.
    - **Benefits:** These exercises improve neuroplasticity by reducing stress and enhancing focus, attention, and mindfulness. They also promote relaxation, which can have a positive impact on brain health.
    ### 5. **Skill-Based Exercises:**
    - **Examples:** Learning new skills, playing musical instruments, dancing, or engaging in complex motor tasks.
    - **Benefits:** Activities that challenge the brain with new learning or complex coordination stimulate neuroplasticity. These exercises can lead to the formation of new neural connections.
    ### 6. **Combination Exercises:**
    - **Examples:** Activities like dancing or sports that combine physical activity with cognitive challenges.
    - **Benefits:** These exercises engage both the body and mind, promoting neuroplasticity and improving overall cognitive function.
    ### 7. **Balance and Coordination Exercises:**
    - **Examples:** Balance training, agility drills, activities that require coordination (e.g., juggling, martial arts).
    - **Benefits:** Improving balance and coordination can stimulate brain areas involved in motor control and spatial awareness, supporting neuroplasticity.
Incorporating a mix of these exercises into your routine can provide a comprehensive approach to enhancing brain health. Regular physical activity not only supports physical health but also plays a critical role in maintaining and improving cognitive function.

Those mushrooms have been used as supplements for millenia. I wouldn't be so surprised. The pill you took just stacks a specific dosage of each. A lot of people that take nootropics will experiment around and see what works best for them, and then make their own personalized stacks. I'm the same way. If you're considering taking cognitive enhancement supplements long-term, I'd recommend you do your own research, start small, try them individually, and work your way up to determine what works best for you. Then, apply the same principles to stacking multiple, if you want to do that.
Also, as far as energy drinks go, Red Bull is actually pretty light on the caffeine. You should compare that 12oz with a cup of coffee. The thing is, it boosts you through other sources, like b-vitamins and taurine.

It isn't easy to buy it, though. that's the real unfair stuff. While others with connections and money find a way to have it, others can't...

@@heloisaduarte4745 I found/finding alternatives. There’s so many restrictions and then you’re just taking an actual manufactured drug. I figured there had to be natural alternatives and then I also figured that maybe my mind racing is a good thing. Maybe I should be writing things down more or doing things I actually enjoy or working out more to expend that extra energy. All these seem to be working for me

Been on adderal for 7 or 8 years? I think? Anyways, when i first started taking it - it was amazing. Those amazing feelings continued for about 2 years. Ever since then, its been mediocre at best. Most days it gives me just enough of a boost to get my work done etc. Some days i get a couple hours of real focus increase and a substantial yet short lived energy increase but ya.. mostly its pretty "mid". Sadly.
So instead of 45 or 60 mgs i started taking 30 mg. Because there wasnt much difference. Plus after about 6 to 8 hours being on it - my heart rate while resting is usually too high. And sleeplessness becomes an issue as well. Especially if i didnt do enough to work my body, like exercise or having a busier day etc.
The point is that addy is not "all that," unfortunately. It may start out like this insane life hack. But, your brain and body adjusts overtime and you end up getting the short end of the stick.
Sorry for the rant, thats just my 2 cents 😅

Best way to optimize your focus, concentration, and mood is to optimize your diet. Eat healthy. Don't eat any processed foods. Eat foods that give you a good roundabout diet. Eat foods high in L-phenylalanine and L-tryptophan. Also, you need to optimize your stomach health, gut biome. Plenty of healthy bacteria introduced to your gut with a good regular intake of fiber to help feed those gut biome bacterias. And do exercises to optimize your brain neuron developments, neurogenesis, neuroplasticity. To utilize the processing breakdown of nutrients, your stomach will provide with processing L-phenylalanine into dopamine for focus. And it will process the L-tryptophan into serotonin and melatonin. Serotonin for mood. Melatonin for good healthy sleep. This is how I achieve my optimal performance in the most optimal way.

Be very careful with some of the nootropics if you buy them. There are a few safety standards to look for because a lot of manufacturers will miss the heavy metal put in that foreign groups put into them once they know they can get rid of the material.
