    Why don’t we focus on engines like this? Yeah the 5550 is great and all, but when do we get another of the Southern “coal” consolidations? Ya know, the really big ones? Or a Frisco 4200? What about the N&W M2s?

    That #401 2-8-0 is a very fine looking steam locomotive !! Enjoyed the great Video immensely.... except my ears gave-out @ 13:30 and I had to "Mute" for a couple minutes, I couldn't take any more Bell-Bangin'. I am a retired "Hogger" myself, and I know the Bell & Whistle Rules & Laws-- but an important part of those Rules also usually states ".....excessive use of the Bell or Whistle is Prohibited.....", and unfortunately many Steam Operators as well as Videographers seem to be a little over exuberant over Bells & Whistles-- which for myself, detracts mightily from the activities.

    You should make it black-and-white and see what it looks like. Good job by the way.

    Was 401 ET&WNC 407?

    • @SmokyMtnSteam
      @SmokyMtnSteam  4 года назад +4

      401 never worked for the ET&WNC and the ET&WNC never had any locomotive numbered 407. You might be thinking of Southern 630 which was ET&WNC 207.

      @@SmokyMtnSteam the ET&WNC operated another consolidation which was ET&WNC 204
