- The Bunker Kings CTRL hit the market and was an immediate head-turner. Its small size and Virtue "Logic" feeding system made it an instant hit with the paintball community. But, is it all we've ever wanted in a loader, or is it full of gimmicks and cheap materials for one of the most expensive hoppers on the market? Watch the full video to find out.

The CTRL loader takes AA Batteries (accidentally said AAA once) and it weighs 14.4 ounces (not grams). Thank you Michael Moto for catching those slip-ups!
I got mine with the spring ramps for 130 total off Amazon. At 130 bucks I think it’s an amazing hopper. Full price I’m going spire all day long.
Lightness is my fave feature of this loader
Regular retail, none of these high end hoppers are worth it. But Black Friday Virtue and BK blow out with awesome sales. I got my CTRL with NTR SF , ramps and NCharge for less than 200 all in. At that cost its definitely worth it. TBH as a usual pump/mag player it doesn't see much use but have not had any issues at all when playing mech with my cocker or Emek
You’re absolutely right. Virtue/BK had some of the best sales out there. If I were to buy their gear I’d definitely wait for the sales to get down solid deals for quality equipment.
just buy from BSTS
Still has the dopest colors/skins
Can't deny that!
The only part I hate is actually loading this hopper with a pod. Even when its basically empty it is very hard to get a whole pod into it. Considering buying a +60 or so top half for it to give more room for the pod to quickly empty into
Spires also jam if you just so happen get shot directly in the speed feed hole and jams up the feed tower...happend to me a couple times even broke the o-ring on the bottom side of the feed tower.
Just got mine for 80 for the Black Friday deal. I think easily worth it at that price point but great review!
That’s a solid deal!
favortie loader I have. dont have that problem on the feed neck of my cs1 but yeah its too expensive. I didnt pay full price, paid $214 for hopper, ntr, ramps, n charge.
I bet the button wont move. It is designed to be easy/cheaper to make the board
Had a ctrl for a while but the shell kept busting in half on dives and that's a deal breaker. They need some kind of plastic latch or something that locks the halves together bc I've seen that happening with a lot of other people on dives and such. You see it happening a lot in pro tournaments on gosports actually. Traded it for an HK speed and never been more satisfied with a loader than the speed. Easy to clean, never jams, even more balanced than the ctrl, and is the lightest loader on the market by far.
I loved my HK Army Speed. It’s a great little hopper!
@@ThePBFit what hopper you rocking now?
Were you making sure to align the shell? If you don’t fit the upper into the lower lip, you’ll see a noticeable gap.
crono in hopper is more senssible than leveler. but the artist behind the button had an anyrism wile designing it. i feel sorry paintballers automatically purcase newest things withougt a thaugt for actual gameplay and functionality.
I agree. That’s why I hope these informative videos help people who can’t make their way to a local pro shop.
An integrated crono would be sweet.. would probably push the cost even higher though
i bought this hopper in the color other than this and overall it's nice but i like my ir2 more for other reasons.
The IR2 is a solid hopper. Probably the best bang for your buck.
How fast does it feed?
Not entirely sure, but it definitely keeps up with 12.5 as I’ve used it at that BPS. Shouldn’t have a problem keeping up with all of the markers out there.
Great video
I appreciate it man!
Yep the level system is gimmicky. I used it maybe all of 15 minutes. The button on the bottom needs improvement. Ramps in ir2 and the ctrl...you don't need it! It feeds fine without ramps. To me it's a ir2 with a different shape shell on it. Really that's it. As of 05/22/22 the ctrl is 50% off, As long as on sale. I feel 130 should be the retail all the time. It's a good effort and design is a good idea, but improvements need to be made.
Ir2 imo is the best. It's the same split design, shells are more durable, and it's the same loader without all of the little bunker kings logos in the plastic. Oh and the ctrl is a sound activated loader so it works on vibration or noise from the marker firing which imo is annoying!
Great info. The iR2 is an amazing loader for the price… I gotta get my hands on one!
Just got all of this for 192 brand new( Memorial Day sale)
Now that’s a good price 🤙🏼
It is UNREAL that these loaders don't come with spring ramps.
Rebate in the box... If u buy a speed feed from bunkerkings that covers the $25, that's why the rebate is structured that way
@@alwaysrecycles365should have ramps at that price point without question especially since their counterparts like the IR 2 and Ltr are half the price and perform the same .
@@BAGofTALENT they recently released new version which comes with the ramps now I think
@@alwaysrecycles365 yea the cntrl 2 comes with the ramps, I assume someone grew a brain and realized how unbelievably dumb it was to not have them in there , they even released the prism ones without the ramps
It's all about the those pinokio/HK speed loaders really
I loved my speeds man! Great little loaders.
14.4grams? You mean ounces?
AA batteries not AAA.
Although I agree with your overall assessment.
Yes, thank you for the corrections! You think after watching this 10 times I would catch my slips. I said triple-A batteries then AA right after that🤦♂. A 14.4-gram loader would be pretty sick though... hahaha.
Spire all day, r2 is 💩.
Hahaha you still playing bro? Hope you’re doing well!
