Lovebites simply the best metal band with the superb talented musicians. Asami soft tone voice in the heavy punching music, so infectious. Haruna, smiling beast on drum, M+M+M, no words to describe the awesomeness guitar work. Thanks guys 👍
Asami is such a rock Diva. The way she starts singing, after her piano intro, with one hand resting on the piano, and then saunters seductively across to her position at center stage. So beautiful.
Just can't get over how much I love that guitar solo section, the build up and release is something to behold. This is one of those songs you can listen to over and over again. 🍻
Yepp, before looking at Lovebites I thought sweep picking was extremely exotic. But they do it in virtually every song. It is kind of difficult, because you have to plan the movement of your left hand so that sweeping with the right creates the melody. It resembles arpeggios, but instead of a chord the result is the shredding or the melody. Cool stuff, and it looks cool also.

They are both great bassists but I just believe Miho gives more metal edge to Lovebites! But that’s just my opinion! 🤷🏻♂️
A great track not frequently reacted to. Excellent you did it. Really hope you have A Frozen Serenade live 2021 on your list. They've melted your face, now watch them melt your heart. Obviously good musicians, just can't get into this kind of rock, because I never find my self humming the chorus! Still looking for that catchy tune! Thanks Guys!
As usual, skillful playing, with lots of solo works. The actual song is a bit uninteresting though. But, as I said, the music is fine as always. Maybe this one had been better instrumental? Sorry Asami, you are very good, but you cannot make it better than it is. I wonder if this is one of the older songs that they have not written themselves. OK - I see now that Asami got to play some piano. Nice.
@@aldomattera2043 I am not sure who you are answering to. I said the the music was good as always. There are several very nice solos and it is overall very good music. I even said it should be a good instrumental. It is only the melodi I think is not one of Lovebites best.
NOT Really, Japanese rock is hard to swallow for me. it's very orchestrated if you don't know been here for 32 years , the ladies are very educated in music but the music is created by a music director, the band usually gets selected through a who's got talent program and then they put together a band its by a choreography company or something, in Japan its not like wild teens want to rock its like the ladies are if not more musically educated than a symphony most of them have a bachelorette in music they are put together by institutions, hard to explain... Demo arrigato gozaimau
I'm sure there are some manufacted groups put together by record companies (Baby Metal comes to mind), but LOVEBITES is a real band with control over their own membership, music and performances.
@@1970Phoenix Exactly, I am not sure why @RickSand think this is an idol product. But yes, they are neither wild teens that want to rock. They were all grown up when forming this band. And they all have formal music training. Both guitarists started to play guitar at a quite old age, around 18-20 I think.
Absolutely not true for most Japanese metal and rock bands ! A case in point, Lovebites are formed organically by former bassist Miho and drummer Haruna, not by a so-called "talent program" or "company". Moreover, all of their songs are composed & arranged by the band members themselves and a few with a close collaborator called Mao. For example, this song is composed by Miyako (the lead guitarist at stage left), arranged by the whole band, and the lyrics written by Asami, the lead vocalist.
隠れた名曲だね。この曲のギターソロ、最上級に大好き。そしてハルピーは、いつみても最高。まあもちろん、みんな最高。
LOVEBITES - Today Is The Day lyrics & credits:
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger
What doesn’t stop you makes you wiser
What doesn’t hurt you only means you have fought the pain before
No need to worry about anything
No need to think about it again
No need to fear the failure, never never nevermore
Just cause you breathe, doesn’t mean you’re living
Just cause you hope, doesn’t mean you’re trying
Just cause you try, doesn’t mean you’re right
those who live are those who fight
May it be catastrophe
Once you make your decision
You must go on and never look back again
Day by day
The beginning of infinity
We’ll rise up no matter what with our greatest glory
Today is the day
Live every second like your last
Aiming for the stars above, and higher
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger
What doesn’t stop you makes you wiser
What doesn’t hurt you only means you have fought the pain before
May it be catastrophe
Once you make your decision
You must go on and never look back again

The beginning of infinity
We’ll rise up no matter what with our greatest glory

What a song, and what a band! Constantly playing at the highest levels, one song more brilliant than the other. How do they do that?
This song has a very infectious main riff.

Today is the day to play Lovebites. Next, do Signs of Deliverance live for some dual hand over the fret board tapping.
Just can't get over how much I love that guitar solo section, the build up and release is something to behold. This is one of those songs you can listen to over and over again. 🍻
That technique is called "Sweep Picking" and both Midori and Miyako use it a lot.

Miyako does it in circular motion which is even more impressive to look at.
M&M use sweep picking and tapping to perfection
@@NameGueSapeYe agreed- the circular motion sweeps are the coolest. miyako just has it down cold.
@@thedocofrock1890 And what's the name of "circular motion sweep picking mixed with tapping", that she uses pretty often? LOL
Easily in my top 15 of their performances, this is such a great gem, more exposure to this masterpiece is needed, thanks for the reaction! 🤘🐺🤘
Epic sweep picking and tapping at the same time by Miyako, she is a master of it, so is Midori! 🤘
Another excellent song from the maestros. Such a great smile from Asami at the keys. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
