Very good indeed, I hadn't heard Samson Francois's Chopin. He is very fiery and attacks the sonata with confidence and charm, although a bit rushed for my taste. Very French, and I think Chopin would approve.
Magnificent interpretation of this compact and perfectly composed sonata in a relatively arbitrary tempo with perfectly articulated touch and fully effective dynamics. Truly incomparable virtuoso!

The recordinag technology is what it was, but this is a fantastic rendition. Samson François was a sensitive intepret, but avoided to make Chopin too mellow, on the opposite of some other interprets. His interpretation of the sonata is firmly built.
