I met her in person in 1995. Trust me, she was the most stunning person I had ever seen. She was doing a small book signing. Everyone was just staring at her. I don't see that kind of beauty today. It's like the world turned trashy or something. 😆😂
Nowdays thin women feels uncomfortable because off all these Kardashians. Wake up people! Kate Moss is a true model! And she looks so fresh and natural. She doesn't have too big lips and too huge eyebrows, or too big fake ass. I feel sick while watching all these modern "models"
it's the complete opposite end of the scale; kate moss being "anorexic" and "too thin" and the kardashians having "fake curves" and "unrealistic proportions". in the end no one wins
God the fashion world is so amoral! He's so casual about saying men like women who look like children-wtf! And then yeah so matter of fact about clothes looking better on people who are thin. No fucking sense of responsibility!! Millions of girls look at these photos.
“There’s nothing about her that’s fake”. This is true including her personality and spirit. She never hid her brash Croydon heritage. Or pretended to be someone else (off camera). Would she make it in the modelling/influencer world today? She doesn’t come from money, she’s not a celebrity type (very private), and most importantly she’s no artificial or doctored. I would say no. Because, Kate is the perfect example of someone who embodies a certain time and place (like Twiggy). That grungy/indie laidback-romantic period of the 90’s was in full swing on both sides of the pond. She’s kinda punk meet’s aristocracy. Club kid and princess. Alien and at the same time familiar. Brassy and delicate. Just here her speak and all will be revealed. I don’t agree with the child-woman analogy as this is a warped projection by an American man (hetro then, gay later). One can look at Kate beyond the gender performance. Compared to the top “models” of today she’s a dream.
Woman child thing 🤮🤮 Calvin is gross the way he sexualises young women and thinness, the beauty industry is so toxic, I hope things have changed since then
His comment about a child-woman touching a nerve, and saying "clothes just look better on people who are thin" would end his career in our current "cancel culture". In the 90's he could say what he was really thinking without fear of repercussion. In this case, I'm not sure if that's good or bad!
@starlight angel🌌🫐 No, that's a comment of someone who simply states the truth without sugar-coating it. I'm not a creep and nor hate women when I say that men are *generally* biologically wired to be attracted to young women who emanate physical innocence and frailty (submission) as well as to signs of fertility (wider hips and medium-big chest). Kate didn't emanate much of the latter, but a *lot* of the first, hence why his statement. There is a reason why most men indulging in porn prefer watching young women who have a cute face expressing looks of submission and words of such, as well as having a delicate hourglass figure. Truth sucks and hurts, I know.
Kate Moss has always striked me more of an edgy woman, not /cute/adorable type like much. She might have some typical features that are common among women with such faces, but she is one example that show that there are no specific rules. Madonna is also an example of a face that could have some such features, yet she does not have that girly or cute face at all.. She is also more of an edgy/rock-chic type of woman, not the cute/adorable type. Sometimes it just seem that some label people based on features that can mean different things to different people. Usually you just know this by intuition, even if there are more general rules that usually apply, but not always. Also a face can change from time to time and be affected by things like exhaustion, illness etc. Miranda Kerr has more of an obvious cute/adorable type of face, but I would not call it child-like. Women are just different and they do not need to be given labels like child-like or badass or whatever label they pick. Let women be allowed to just be the way they are without having to discuss every tiny thing. Women are different and men like different things. No need or any purpose to try to force everyone into being the same or trying to push men to like the same. Just accept that everyone is different and like different things.
Not all clothes look better on thin people. Some clothes look better on people with curves, some clothes look better on people with muscles. And besides many fashion industry folks view objectively healthy/thin people as fat, and then view objectively underweight/unhealthy people as thin. Goes to show that perception is often subjective...
In their case perception is mostly warped. They pushed the androgyny look, because most of the designers were gay. They hate women and try to make them look like young boys.
@@yoya4766 Actually in the beginning, before men worked in fashion, thin women where chosen as well, to draw attention to the clothes, not the curves. They also picked tall women then, as they were able to showcase longer garments. So it's not because of gay men that female models are thin, at least not historically.
what makes me laugh about the press/ media when it comes to models is that most models are discovered when they are still children, many haven't even turned 18 when scouted. Kate was 14 so of course she would have been naturally very skinny but she got accused of being 'too thin', then accused of heroin chic, then whatever else, when its the stylists,make-up artists and whoever else plays a key role in the image making process that are responsible for images. The public are left to interpret the image how they want but its interesting how many allow themselves to be dictated to, and influenced by, the press.
Take me back to the 90's!! These days the majority of popular models are not humble, thankful or talented whatsoever. What they are is ungrateful, rich from birth and family heritage, bitchy and fake (personality and physically). So frustrating when people claim gigi and kendall to be SUPERmodels
Calm down. Not all the models were kind and humble, many only acted like that in front of the cameras. Now the internet exists, so it's much easier to find out about the bad attitudes of celebrities. And why would you want to go back to a time when anorexia and other eating disorders were common and even considered "beautiful"?
How disgusting can this guy be but honestly he is right. It's 2022 and look at male perverts that get busted everyday getting rocks on with children. I can't only image what she went through on this industry back then smh.
Gosh! She looks so young here. And IS so young. You can see the gaucheness, the innocence, the unaffectedness. The modeling world can be so predatory. She’s nothing like today’s young ones.
As far as Calvin saying she has this child like woman thing that men go crazy for, this is true with a lot of men. From my observation a lot of them like the Lolita type of woman. Even in books and film and tv I've seen these type of women desired and make guys go crazy. Idk why but that statement is true.
Putting aside the slip up of “turns men on” because everyone has already mentioned it but the way she giggled at the idea of being a sex symbol… god she was still just a kid, like she was so innocent

I appreciate her beauty, its sad the world exploits people's unique elements, nonetheless she has made tons of money, and has secured her kids futures for sure.
I remember that in the 90s though, at least the many people i knew living in the city, thought she wasn’t good looking at all. Now, especially with the newer generations, opinions are different. I respect it.
I think Calvin Klein has a point. Heath Ledger, Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny depp etc all had a “boyish” look which women loved back in the day. It’s the same now. As he puts it it touches a nerve. For men and women.
First time i seen her, she is pretty but i don't get why people get crazy about her beauty, her face looks like any east/north european woman... the girls at 1:42 and 2:31 are prettier in my opinion.
@Capo98y ... yes your right ✅️ Kate Moss wasn't necessarily the most beautiful face per say however- the 90's were completely different and what Kate did so exquisitely was deliver on so many different levels. Complete and total androgynous variety and photogenic is only a mere start in her endless range of muse. Also she fit the business model, pardon the pun, of the fashion industry of the time

1.08 - wildly inappropriate beast.
1.11 - he goes to say "turns men on" but instead said "touches a nerve..."
CREEP
YAAASSSSSSS, QUEEN!!
He must have known that people would understand what "touches a nerve" meant 🤦♀️. But no he just acting like nothing happened
She has one of the prettiest faces ever!
Naomi Campbell in this LOL. Love Kate and Naomi ❤️
I met her in person in 1995. Trust me, she was the most stunning person I had ever seen. She was doing a small book signing. Everyone was just staring at her. I don't see that kind of beauty today. It's like the world turned trashy or something. 😆😂
"The world turned trashy or something" I cackled 😂
Beautiful is about surgery today . Natural beauty like her is hard to find.
Nowdays thin women feels uncomfortable because off all these Kardashians. Wake up people! Kate Moss is a true model! And she looks so fresh and natural. She doesn't have too big lips and too huge eyebrows, or too big fake ass. I feel sick while watching all these modern "models"
+M9482 everything you said is on point
nope everyone is beautiful no matter the size or what
Yeah how do you think chubby or curvy women felt in the nineties? shut up
It's true, many women today base their looks on porn culture. Oversized lips, tits, ass, fake hair, lashes, nails. Artificiality.
it's the complete opposite end of the scale; kate moss being "anorexic" and "too thin" and the kardashians having "fake curves" and "unrealistic proportions". in the end no one wins
God the fashion world is so amoral! He's so casual about saying men like women who look like children-wtf! And then yeah so matter of fact about clothes looking better on people who are thin. No fucking sense of responsibility!! Millions of girls look at these photos.
She is so beautiful.....a total LEGEND
“Kate has that child woman thing which touches a nerve with men”
Boy, that statement hasn’t aged well.
Long live fashion icon Kate Moss..beautiful
Woman child thing 🤮🤮 Calvin is gross the way he sexualises young women and thinness, the beauty industry is so toxic, I hope things have changed since then
He didnt mean it that way
@@hsd287 Then why he said about touching a nerve of men and stimulating imagination thing ? He meant it and that’s totally disgusting.
@@hsd287lol he wouldn’t have said this sh*t to a grown adult woman because it’s disrespectful and creepy.
she reminds me Winona on many occasions in this vid, especially when shes smiling at 3:06
His comment about a child-woman touching a nerve, and saying "clothes just look better on people who are thin" would end his career in our current "cancel culture". In the 90's he could say what he was really thinking without fear of repercussion. In this case, I'm not sure if that's good or bad!
It's always good. It's better that people say what they think because that means they can be challenged.
I was just thinking the same thing! Lol I bet if he ever sees this interview again he would cringe! Lol
It's good.
the child-woman thing was creepy and gross but him saying clothes look better on people who are thin is a 100% correct
I agree. Moss is boss. She is a powerhouse in a tiny, fragile-looking body, but she gives off a grand aura.
None of my male friends find her sexually attractive but every one of my girlfriends love her. She’s just got style.
I don't believe she is a more beautiful and prettier women than kate. She was the most beautiful model on the runway 😍.
The only true I see that she is extremely beautiful the rest are no point.😂
Not all clothes look better on thin people. Some clothes look better on people with curves, some clothes look better on people with muscles. And besides many fashion industry folks view objectively healthy/thin people as fat, and then view objectively underweight/unhealthy people as thin. Goes to show that perception is often subjective...
Kate was never unhealthily thin.... It was the media who made this.. I saw worse looki g girls than kate in termsof BONES PROTRUDING
@@clapbangrun2200 And when was that?
lmao cry about it fattie
thank you for uploading this. I'm a huge fan of Kate Moss and just love this video
Oh my kate moss is soooo gorgeous!!!!!!
Sweet and real. So beautiful, Kate.
Now her face and cheek bones are the new beauty trend 😌
what makes me laugh about the press/ media when it comes to models is that most models are discovered when they are still children, many haven't even turned 18 when scouted.
2:25 i freaking love her.
Amber Valletta at 2:31, sigh...She's the only one of them who can still, at the age of 46, be seen in fashion magazines...
I can't help but notice she's sitting in front of an original Basquait and no one noticed.
she is soooooooooo sweet!!!
Take me back to the 90's!! These days the majority of popular models are not humble, thankful or talented whatsoever. What they are is ungrateful, rich from birth and family heritage, bitchy and fake (personality and physically). So frustrating when people claim gigi and kendall to be SUPERmodels
Kathy Sydney
Kathy Sydney calm down
Calm down. Not all the models were kind and humble, many only acted like that in front of the cameras. Now the internet exists, so it's much easier to find out about the bad attitudes of celebrities. And why would you want to go back to a time when anorexia and other eating disorders were common and even considered "beautiful"?
I miss the 90’s
How disgusting can this guy be but honestly he is right. It's 2022 and look at male perverts that get busted everyday getting rocks on with children. I can't only image what she went through on this industry back then smh.
Gosh! She looks so young here. And IS so young. You can see the gaucheness, the innocence, the unaffectedness. The modeling world can be so predatory. She’s nothing like today’s young ones.
“Yeah she’s thin but clothes look better on thin people. Models should be thin. It just fits better.”
WTF CALVIN
Thats it
I agree with him. You can see the cut and shape of the garment better when there are no lumps and bumps on the body.
@@The_torero yes, you can see every cut and shape better
He's not wrong. Nowadays there's a lot of variety in the model industry, but thin models most of the time rock the clothes way better.
hes not wrong
1:05 such predatory language. She was 17, literally a teenager and underage
0:23 never seen or heard Calvin Kline before.
As far as Calvin saying she has this child like woman thing that men go crazy for, this is true with a lot of men. From my observation a lot of them like the Lolita type of woman. Even in books and film and tv I've seen these type of women desired and make guys go crazy. Idk why but that statement is true.
x1990x innocence maybe that translate in youthful spirit?!
Lot of men are pedo so yeah
Putting aside the slip up of “turns men on” because everyone has already mentioned it but the way she giggled at the idea of being a sex symbol… god she was still just a kid, like she was so innocent
If this interview is from 1998, then she was already 24 years old.
I like how at 1:42, the interviewers are being all pretentious and she's just like, "Please, stop with the bullshit." Then she answers them like a normal person. Hahaha. Funny.
I appreciate her beauty, its sad the world exploits people's unique elements, nonetheless she has made tons of money, and has secured her kids futures for sure.
Kate ❤️
You look at Kate, her face, and how amazing she looks and then compare it to the likes of the women on Only Way is Essex.....
So beautiful!
It’s innocence
She's so pretty
First time i seen her, she is pretty but i don't get why people get crazy about her beauty, her face looks like any east/north european woman...
the girls at 1:42 and 2:31 are prettier in my opinion.
@Capo98y
... yes your right ✅️
Kate Moss wasn't necessarily the most beautiful face per say however- the 90's were completely different and what Kate did so exquisitely was deliver on so many different levels. Complete and total androgynous variety and photogenic is only a mere start in her endless range of muse. Also she fit the business model, pardon the pun, of the fashion industry of the time
"init"
She is stunning!!!!!
Whatever Calvin says in this interview would be so not PC now!!😆😆 "childness that touches the nerve of men", " the clothes look better on slim models ".. etc...
That’s absolutely Kate Moss.
2:50 "Yes,she's thin. Models should be thin"... oh god, here you can see what was acceptable 20 years ago and what is acceptable now.
Yeah, obesity is acceptable now.
@@aiai-j7i yes it is in a sense that all people deserve decency. How someone looks is none of your business. Of course morbid obesity isn't healthy and something you should strive to have but dear lord let people live
she is down to earth
I love her.
ok but he literally called her a “thing”
She doesnt even sound stupid in this video. You're being a bit too quick to judge I think.
Kate mots is a real goddess.Whats her secret?
I mean...genetics, obviously. There's no secret.
Has someone found the streaming online? full film?
who is the other blonde model in this clip at 2:30??
sniccoll amber Valletta
She has Asian features yet is Caucasian. So unique. I think her and Johnny were the cutest couple ever. Then he went off with someone who looked like her.
“kate has that quality of child-women” maybe because she was like 16 she was a child..
best of all time
The fact that female interviewer is equally pretty
i Like her accent❤❤❤
She’s so cute
She's a child. Woman. Thing..?
whats the peoples names interviewing her at 1:50?
Daniel and Lucie De La Falaise. Lucie is actually married to Keith Richards' son, Marlon.
Она прекрасна!
queen!
2:48 what's the song call?
1:41 Lucie De La Falaise (sitting next to Kate, on the right) is married to Marlon Richards, the son of Keith Richards
This is hilarious to watch 30 years later and which everything happening in the media.
Omg It has been thirty years 😫😫
This has to be the most disgusting video.. you just have a bunch of pedos praying on this innocent girl and then society blamed her for spiralling out of control and taking drugs maybe the planet needs to wipe us out and start again but this world is disgusting
I met Kate a wedding shower once. She was drunk and peed in a plant. She also smoked pot and then crashed her motorbike. It was kinda weird to be fair.
Chester Sykes sounds so fake and true at the same time lol
What that Calvin dude says is so disturbing 😳
Who is The Model At 0:32 ?
Cool. Great work.
