    Hi Would a dodgy 2 or 3 port valve cause intermittent F22 Dry errors? Likely? System is clean, no air, pump good, water supply 1.0bar ok. Perhaps there is some sludge lurking in the shadows but not my gut instinct as drain was fairly clean. Excellent content, well explained keep up the good wok and work perhaps!!!!!

    I've just found your channel this evening and have subscribed - very informative. I have a Glow Worm 30 ci that conked out about a year ago. The hot water works perfectly but there is no central heating. I've replaced all the thermostatic valves and refilled the system with inhibitor added. The system holds 1.0 bar perfectly and fires up normally when you turn the heating on but no hot water flows around the system. A bit cheeky, I know, but any ideas? Just to add, the refill valve on the boiler doesn't work so I have to refill using mains pressure into the drain valve an the furthest end of the system.

      James, I sent you an email, via Instagram. I think my issue is the diverter valve too, but my issue is different to Guy's problem. Could you do a video on those? (Even if I can't replace one myself, lol)..

    If your system has a room stat and it's set and working correctly then surely the whole point of this is to turn your heating on when it gets below your comfortable temperature. That's why they were invented. It won't be running in the summer if the ambient temperature is above the set point so no need to turn it off surely.

    • @bunkaaa8726
      @bunkaaa8726 8 лет назад +1

      +plumberparts Yeah pretty sure most people have fiddled with the valves over the year(s) in order to try and 'get the room hotter' and of course not knowing what they're doing - un balancing the system. So, correcting them like Mr Plumber here has done eliminates the issue no ?

    • @coleyboy83
      @coleyboy83 8 лет назад

      +plumberparts turning all the rads off then opening them all 1/4 turn on the lock shield would not balance it mate. The furthest ones away sometimes need to be open all the way and so on.

    • @bunkaaa8726

      Starts as a base then adjust from there

    • @coleyboy83
      @coleyboy83 8 лет назад

      +Bunka Fas why mess with them at all unless there was a problem. No need to do all this as they don't become unbalanced once they've been done before. That's why it's called a "lock" shield and has a screw in the cap as to not mess with it.
