So she perks up her ears even tho she doesn’t actually hear it? That’s a really interesting behavioral response! Her auditory center somehow knows that she is responding to language. Wow!
Our deaf dog is very vocal and moves her ears around all the time. Her ears will perk up when she's focused on something like she's trying to listen even though she's never heard a thing in her life. It's interesting to see how much of their behavior is instinctual.
What a sensitive and intelligent dog!! She’s beautiful!! She reminds me of my cat whose ears perk up and eyes widen when I say “ snack” , “hungry”and “eat”.
Dogs use a lot of subtle body and facial expressions to communicate so it’s not as massive a thing as you would think for a dog .. heck it’s the normal thing that is used with pups that are born deaf 🙂
My dog was born deaf! I use signs with her, but honestly, I think a lot of how me and her communicate is just body language and vibes most of the time! The only downside is if someone else is watching her for me and they won't know what it is that she wants and they don't see or understand the subtle differences in her body language.
True, my dog knew what to do by me using very subtle hand and body signs. Problem was I was the one who took care of him and taught him most discipline and commands... my parents couldn't get him to do half the things I could, and they just chalked it up to me being the one "in charge"... they just couldn't figure out he (the dog) was looking for component body language and tone to the commands and words... I didn't know at the time that was what I'd done either.
That is one smart pet parent. A much loved pet will be just as smart when there is something fun to learn. I am impressed ❤ & that is one beautiful pup if I ever saw one 😍 precious ❤
This is something I've always loved about dogs, they truly do understand what we say in context with their lives. As someone who lives with completely deaf and mostly deaf dogs hand signs can be just as if not, a more effective way to communicate😂
A few years ago I taught my dog a hand gesture for when I want him to come to me and now he's deaf so it makes it easier for me to communicate with him. He's old and confused and he still remembers. Dogs are amazing.
My dog understands all my gestures for her commands with or without the words. I'm not surprised at all that Eowyn learned all the signs you all use frequently. Yup! My son is Deaf. We sign to our 2 dogs. It's awesome. They ( listen ) better when signed to!! Your girl is very smart!! Keep it up.! ANY animal can learn sign language!!
People use sign language to train deaf dogs so they're definitely smart enough to learn!😊 It's always so funny to see how quickly dogs react to their favourite words and phrases, my dogs react to some phrases before I've even uttered a sound because they've learned that I probably subconsciously do something with my body and face. I've even started testing how quietly I can say things or how far I'll get in a sentence before they react!😂

One of my cats is a slower eater and also gets chewable meds. If I call her, her sister will come too, but if i show her my hand with the treats and meds fisted inside it, she knows it means special treats for her.
I have a similar situation with a slower eater on meds, and an overeager sibling lol. My non medicated cat has quickly learned the special treats aren’t for her, and I have no idea how she knows that now. Too smart sometimes

Funny how she never understood "no, not for you". 😂
That’s incredible. Dogs are amazing. We don’t deserve them.
Truth!!! I Love Dogs!!! I can't even spell T-R-E-A-T....LOL
She's very astute. You were gifted with a beautiful smart dog.
Precious. Very very precious doggy.
I am deaf! I love how your dog is watching you talk! He doesn't want to miss out on any of his favorite words😂
That's is the most incredible thing and I am beyond happy to see this! What a delightful furbaby! ❤
This is a much needed restoration in my faith in humanity.
Omg that's amazing!
We really don't give animals enough credit for how intelligent they are. I love Corgis. Smart and adorable 😊
who are "we"? like.. why? why do ppl say these things it's so weird😮
So she perks up her ears even tho she doesn’t actually hear it? That’s a really interesting behavioral response! Her auditory center somehow knows that she is responding to language. Wow!
I think she's looking toward the window or door for the wife or food to be delivered.
Our deaf dog is very vocal and moves her ears around all the time. Her ears will perk up when she's focused on something like she's trying to listen even though she's never heard a thing in her life. It's interesting to see how much of their behavior is instinctual.
Eowyn!!!! She is no man!! Love it and love that she's such a smart lady!!
FINALLY I FOUND A LOTR COMMENT!! I scrolled for ages istg❤❤😂
@@ar.wen0Sammmeee, I'm surprised not many people are commenting on it
OMG SAME @@ar.wen0
Was surprised with how such a short video made me super happy. God bless yall and the pupper
Dogs are amazing creatures with endless abilities.
What a sensitive and intelligent dog!! She’s beautiful!! She reminds me of my cat whose ears perk up and eyes widen when I say “ snack” , “hungry”and “eat”.
Dogs are so intelligent. What a heartwarming video!
Eowyn perked up when you said "my corgi here, Eowyn" lol
All the time she's like "are you talking about me???" Super cute!
Mans best friend for a reason. They are VERY in tune with us and our body language and behavior.
I taught my dogs ASL for when I'm finished handing out treats or an activity. They are smart. Love it. 🦋👩🦰
really cool vid. subbed
Hey, thanks!
Dogs use a lot of subtle body and facial expressions to communicate so it’s not as massive a thing as you would think for a dog .. heck it’s the normal thing that is used with pups that are born deaf 🙂
It never occurred to me that some dogs are born deaf. Now I wonder, do they think dogs who listen to verbal commands are just psychic? 😂💖
My dog was born deaf! I use signs with her, but honestly, I think a lot of how me and her communicate is just body language and vibes most of the time!
The only downside is if someone else is watching her for me and they won't know what it is that she wants and they don't see or understand the subtle differences in her body language.
@@sunrise.reprise Yeah, most things that can occur to us can occur to animals!
Human also born deff@@sunrise.reprise
True, my dog knew what to do by me using very subtle hand and body signs. Problem was I was the one who took care of him and taught him most discipline and commands... my parents couldn't get him to do half the things I could, and they just chalked it up to me being the one "in charge"... they just couldn't figure out he (the dog) was looking for component body language and tone to the commands and words... I didn't know at the time that was what I'd done either.
This is so refreshing! Instead of stupid pet tricks it's "Smart Pet Tricks"! ❤❤❤
That is one smart pet parent. A much loved pet will be just as smart when there is something fun to learn. I am impressed ❤ & that is one beautiful pup if I ever saw one 😍 precious ❤
That is really,,really soo neat!!! Beautiful dog!!
That's adorable. I also named my dog Eowyn. And when that's too difficult for family to remember, I just tell them "call her Winnie".
This is so awesome...dogs are so intelligent!!
I couldn't help but laugh a little when her ears perked up when he signed "Dinner", it's almost like she heard it in her head lmao
Adorable! Pets are so smart!
Awww it makss me so happy seeing a corgi learning signs. Communication is endless with our fur friends!!!!❤❤❤
Great video. Hero and dog. No guns, no cussing, no screaming, no fake calamity. Great content
This is something I've always loved about dogs, they truly do understand what we say in context with their lives. As someone who lives with completely deaf and mostly deaf dogs hand signs can be just as if not, a more effective way to communicate😂
That is honestly amazing that you also have deaf dogs, So sweet❤
wonderfully amazing and impressive!!!!
It's impressive that she can differentiate those that are relevant to her among the MANY signs you use on a constant basis. Good job Eowyn!
I was going to say the same thing. Many breeds can easily make associations, especially working breeds.
Yup! My son is Deaf. We sign to our 2 dogs. It's awesome. They ( listen ) better when signed to!! Your girl is very smart!!
Keep it up.! ANY animal can learn sign language!!
I need to learn it first...
These are the joys we live for❤️
People use sign language to train deaf dogs so they're definitely smart enough to learn!😊
It's always so funny to see how quickly dogs react to their favourite words and phrases, my dogs react to some phrases before I've even uttered a sound because they've learned that I probably subconsciously do something with my body and face. I've even started testing how quietly I can say things or how far I'll get in a sentence before they react!😂
Came to comment this. My friend has a deaf dog 👍
That is so cool
I think we really forget how intelligent dogs are. Its amazing that they are able to understand these things.
I’ve always been told corgis are super intelligent dogs and that a bored corgi is like asking the Devil to unleash his minions on the unsuspecting populace.
So cute… love see ppl just lovin livin life💗
Extremely intelligent and insightful!
So fricking smart and adorable. It's so wholesome. It would be a nightmare for you, but in the best way
What a beautiful dog!
Soon Eowyn is gonna be fluently teaching others sign language
Love the fact he despite not being deaf is using sign language in the video, so his wife and other deaf people can understand ❤…
Smart doggy too.
His page is literally the signing dad.. tf u expect
And just like that, the smallest things can make somebody’s day so much better. Thank you not only teaching your dog sign language, like that’s amazing in it self, but for sharing it with us. This small little cute video just made my day so much better.
That’s the smartest dog I have EVER seen ❤
That dog is seriously incredible
Our beloved fur babies are amazing. I have a severe COPD & l live in a 2 story house. Half way up the steps I struggle to make it to the top & my pitbull stops at my side so I can grab his harness & pulls me up to the top. If I'm panicking from not being able to catch my breath, he nudges me until I start petting him until my breathing slows down & I'm able to breathe better. Like I said they're amazing ! 💕🐶 🥰
Great pet you have! But whyd you get to the level of severe COPD in the first place? that's just unfortunate.
YOUR PITBULL CAN DRAG YOU UP STAIRS?!
That was so cute! 😮wow she is smart!!! That's amazing
Your dog’s name is so cute! I love how it’s signed.
Eowyn?
Must be a very courageous dog!
She is, to a fault 😅
I had a Corgi years ago. He was so smart and so stubborn. To me, Corgi's are the best!
Very clever pupper
Beautiful.
Wow that is one super dog bless her x
