believe me. for most of my life i had everything laying out in piles of books and such. But after moving around so much, and lugging all of that stuff around, i got tired of never being able to find things. It feels like an almost emotional burden is lifted when you only have a few things out at a time.
Hah. for many years, i'd just roll out of bed, and my drawing desk was right next to it. So i know what you mean. I feel lucky to have a separate room for it.
I'd SWEAR you were a Cintiq artist. It seems I was totally wrong about that. That's humbling, cause I had to stick with intuos 4 cause I can't afford these ultraexpensive hardware. Still cool enough seeing your home office.
Trent! You must give details on the desk build sir! Details! We need details! Also, how much did it end up costing you. I am looking at getting one and just curious if it would be cheaper to just put one together myself. Thank you!
Trent! I always dig the vids you put out. Dumb question: what's the ottoman, man? i dig that solution you have with the books ( i live in a teeny studio apartment)
i got it from costco i think. it was only 50 bucks or so, but i love it because it doubles as a place for guests to sit if you have a lot of people over.
Peca Ristic that’s one reason. Some people get used to parallax. Some people like not having their hand being in the way with their art. Sounds nifty if you like that. Personally. I use a Wacom Cintiq pro 16. I used to use the intuos pro and I really loved it too. Loved it more than the cintiq since well... the cintiq pros are hit or miss for some people. But I use the cintiq mainly because it is faster for me to make art with it. I also need my hand on screen so my line art doesn’t suck, but there are still ways to do perfect line art on the intuos like brush smoothing (and not sucking).
@@matthewpeluso6505 I dont really care about the lineart, since im a landscape painter, but that stuff sounds like not that big of a problem, for my 18th birthday ill be getting a Kamvas16 so I can maybe one day go pro with it
@@petronija5519 I got a huion before the cintiq. It broke within a year. Was very upset about that - hence why I went back to wacom. 16 is a perfect size in my opinion tho. I haven't used the Kamvas pro series tho so I hope they are good too!
Lol..cool. Hey...man...i ordered the Deco 03 because of you...i wanted to see the XP Pen on the desk...lol. well its a spare so I'll forgive you this time
I use them both. Not married to one or the other. I mean, you saw that i have a whole drawer for broken wacoms so... maybe the XP pen is the better choice. I havent had even one of those break on me yet.
Odd not to see a Diablo 3 Art Book. Or the book of cain. Required essentials! Nice MTV cribs episode. 🤙
I'm surprised how clean your office is. So different to my bedroom corner studio.

This is definitely how I want my studio too look one day, but for now I'll stick to my messy corner office in my room haha

Trent Kaniuga: Self made artist, studio supplied by Daiso and Ikea. :p
I love Daiso. I hope it exists in the lands east of CA. XD

Who is that HOTT chick in the video at 3:11 ? More of her please!
