Also, you could have chose plenty of Muse songs, like, I don't know, Sunburn, New Born, Citizen Erased, Space Dementia, Apocalypse Please, Ruled by Secrecy, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Hoodoo, United States of Eurasia, Exogenesis Symphony, or The Globalist. They have more songs than just Uprising and Madness.
+PsychicHorse New Born or Butterflies and Hurricanes should have been on here. I get that B&H isn't mainstream enough to get a spot, but New Born is extremely memorable. But they only like to talk about their bs radio songs.

Eric Carmen - All by myself?? I realize its not the most popular song but has a killer piano melody and solo. Same with Barry Manilow - Could it be magic. Also, prefer Funeral for a friend by EJ
Pretty good list overall. Would have been nice if they could have fit in the ending piano part on Faith No More "Epic". That band has influenced pretty much every rock/metal band that has come out since the mid 90's.

I know. but in the list
+Nadir Gumerzindo not in it apparently XD
+Jonah Allison ... come on xD
Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath
David Bowie - Life On Mars
Cold Chisel - Khe Sanh
Bruce Hornsby - The Way It Is
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (seriously how was this not on the list)
Warren Zevon - Werewolves Of London
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird
1. Why is Coldplay here? Great song but there are so many other amazing piano songs that could have been on this list.
2. Who is Marc Cohn? What is this song? I never in my life have heard this.
3. If the man has a song about being the Piano Man than this is the most obvious pick.
4. Don't Stop Beliving is the song every one under 30 has heard. I grew up on this song. My mom loves Journey.
5. Layla? When the piano section isn't even that known?
6. I can accuse your choice for #1 when he's the most known piano player in the world.
GNR-Estranged
The Doors-Riders on the storm

Posting comment before watching the video, there better be a Muse song in here!
I'll admit I like a lot of songs on the list, but BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY ONLY HONORABLE MENTION? WTF is wrong with you WatchMojo?
+PsychicHorse Matt's best song was probably Piano Thing, but my favorite would have to be B&H or Space Dementia. At least B&H should've been an honorable mention though.
+PsychicHorse I thought that exact same thing
+Blazin Blitzer B&H alllll the way.
Right Now by Van Halen is one of the better pieces of the Van Hagar era. So why the fuck is it not on this list?
pretty sure it's a keyboard
+Lauritz vL Wat? Have you ever heard the song? Or seen it performed?
I cant just go away without leaving my dislike. Bohemian Raphsody is a honorable mention!?! No pink floyd!?! Since when coldplay plays rock? Who the hell picked the songs if this list. Is this really all you could find about rock music!?!? Very disappointing.
lmao people bitching at Bohemian rhapsody being a honourable mention when Sweet Home Alabama wasn't even an honourable mention
Scenes from an italian restaurant should be number one
Tiny Dancer is a pretty respectable #1. Also glad to see Supertramp's School on the list. Another I'd have liked to see mentioned is Rick Wakeman's piano work on Yessongs Heart of the Sunrise.
the piano on morning has broken by Cat Stevens which was played by the one and only Rick Wakeman
Now do percussion or drum sections in rock music.
agree
+Zoe Gappa In the air tonight
In my opinion, my favorite drum
Intro is defiantly Rocket Queen
+Zoe Gappa agree and I think number 1 got to be the beginning of the song down with the sickness by disturbed
Painkiller intro no. 1
Wow, I really did not expect Elton to be #1. Not a great list but they got it right for the choice for # 1.
Elton is # 1 !! Fuck yes !!
What'd I Say by Ray Charles (electric piano) -Southside of the Sky by Yes? -Blueberry Hill by Fats Domino -Riders in the Storm by the Doors (electric piano)
Elton John easy number one, buy I would've picked Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding, hands down!

what about life on mars?
+Nicolas Fimbres Life on mars and Bohemian rhapsody are my favourite piano acompaniments and when I played them I finally found the point of learning to play the piano
+Octavio89 what do you mean like its not on this list or it doesnt exist
Everyone is talking about Bohemian Rhapsody, but You're totally right, Life on mars should've been on this list
Aladin Sane. Time. Station to Station. All by David Bowie Mike Garson & Roy Bittan and speaking of Roy how about Born to Run from Bruce S.
Life on Mars? Bohemain Rhapsody is the greatest song of all time, and here a honourable mention?!
Top 10lists there’s other songs than bohemian rhapsody that are better
"Hold me closer Tony Danza!!!"
10:17 he didn’t say rock on Eric Clapton, the maker of the song :(
While I love Tiny Dancer, the Elton John piano song that moves me most is Levon.
Supertramp what an awesome band!
The Great Gig in the Sky?
and "Us and them" too
+Rolo Duran Fuck Us and them. With all respect to Wright as supporting keys player his songs were awful. It's clearly seen on DSOT album where's UaT so many levels lower than the others it's ridiculous guys included it in th record at all.
Ikt
Eric Carmen - All by myself?? I realize its not the most popular song but has a killer piano melody and solo. Same with Barry Manilow - Could it be magic. Also, prefer Funeral for a friend by EJ
Elton John rightfully got that but I thought it should have been goodbye yellow brick road
Pretty good list overall. Would have been nice if they could have fit in the ending piano part on Faith No More "Epic". That band has influenced pretty much every rock/metal band that has come out since the mid 90's.
I'm honestly a little surprised that Right Now by Van Halen wasn't on here. Not even an honorable mention?
But hey, they got Layla on the list, so i'm satisfied.
Now that's a crime
For what song?
Same
They said Keyboard riffs will have their own list at the beginning...
"What more could we ask for from the Fab Four?" Um, that John had never met Yoko?
and gotten them into that awful contract
Its been over 10 years since i heard the song.. what i remember was the amazing piano solo... i never found out the name of the song and i never thought to search for "piano in rock" until today. Thank you WatchMojo. I finally found Layla.
You don't know what a piano section is if you haven't heard "butterflies & hurricanes" by MUSE or "art of life" & "endless rain" by X JAPAN.
Look it up and i promise you'll agree.
