Hello from the Mobile Notary from LA (lower Alabama). I learned fingerprinting when I was in the Navy. I have offered it with my notary service but had NO takers. It seems ALL fingerprinting must be done by a recognized law enforcement agency. I have solicited, day cares, hospitals, drug stores, and any place that would need prints taken. The county sheriff seems to have the market cornered.

Hello! Yes, Frank, your comment really highlights the different rules among the states. In some areas the fingerprinting opportunity is bigger than others, for sure.

Hi Frank, I like your input as I will be embarking on this. I called my local police departments and only two of the many precincts in my county offer the ink fingerprinting and its not free either.
