This is my favorite TV show ..... ever. It ran on NBC from 1965 till 1968. It had 86 episodes in total. It starred Ben Gazzara and each episode had different guest stars. This TV series was smartly written and very enjoyable to watch. It is very surprising to me that this great series has not been on any TV network since it ended its run in 1968. I wonder why? I miss this series very much and I wish it will come back to a TV network very soon.
I am interested in seeing (or having a recap of) Season 2, Episode 1 "The Day That Time Stopped", where Ben Gazarra's character lost his memory of the last six months, including the fact he has a terminal disease.
I loved these tv series. Thnx for uploading them. Personally I feel, the sound of the old tape hiss, wow and flutter gives an unmistakable old ambiance to the flick which is highly enjoyable.
Remember my mum loving this when I was a boy. This and The Fugitive. It would be nice to see the whole series again; I barely remember it but I am drawn to good dramas from this wonderful era.
The opening tracking shot, looking down on an old-fashioned street, is the same opening credits shot for 1955's "All that Heaven Allows," starring Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson. Since this series was a Universal production, I guess they had lots of stock footage to insert.
A really great episode. Thank you! The tantalizing mystery was finally solved at the very end ;)

The theme music is so brilliant. Easily top 10 all time tv themes in my book, maybe even top 5.
This reminds me of the series Route 66.
Awwww can we have more?...loved this series🤭😘🥺💝🥰💖😍💥

Originally telecast on October 11, 1965.

Nice catch 👍🏻 Any idea where the stock footage was taken?
Also seen during the opening and closing credits (in black and white} of "ICHABOD AND ME" {CBS, 1961-'62}.
Why, oh why, isn’t this series uncut on Dvd along with The Name Of The Game??
Patience. It’s only a matter of time.
@@icecreamforcrowhurst Let’s hope so. There have been a number of rights and royalty issues with a number of Universal programs.
Totally agreed !
Ben Gazzara was one of my favorites.
I want to see the full episode of The Sadness of a Happy Time.

Ben Gazara shows a disturbing penchant for neck scarves throughout the series lol. Not a good look
It’s called a Gravatt neck tie
