I do wish reviewers would cease comparing the Hornet to the Mazda CX-30. The better comparison is to the CX-5 or CX-50, both of which are closer in passenger space and trunk space to the Hornet than the CX-30. Indeed, the Mazda CX-5 was the target vehicle used by Alfa Romeo in designing the Tonale/Hornet.
The CX-5 and CX-50 are not better comparisons to the Hornet for a number of reasons, including size. The CX-50 is 8 inches longer than the Hornet and competes in a different market. The CX-5 is a compact crossover whereas the Hornet is too small to be a direct rival. The CX-30 only falls short in terms of cargo space, but aligns closely when it pertains to passenger volume, price, and also performance with the turbo.
@@BostonAutoBlog The CX-30 is 5 inches shorter and the cargo space is 7 cu ft less (25% less) than the Hornet. The rear seat room is also less. The best comparison is to the Mazda CX-5, which was the target vehicle for the Alfa Romeo design team. It has similar length, width, cargo and passenger space to the Hornet. The Hornet is a small compact, whereas the CX-30 is a true sub-compact in size. As to performance, the Hornet is definitely the better handling, livelier, more fun-to-drive car, i/m/h/o.
Most car buyers are not car enthusiast, an average American will see the Dodge hornet, and will automatically buy over the Mazda just because of the name, heritage, and look.
I wanted either a challenger or a Durango. The models I wanted were way out of my comfortable spending limit. I seen a picture of one of these and now leaning towards this vehicle
@@2bookoo4u Have you driven a hornet?? My niece has a GT plus and loves it. She has about 20k miles and has had zero issues. (maybe lucky but that's been her experience) It was one of the first the dealer got when it came out. I drove it on a visit home a few months ago and I was shocked how well it drove. Very smooth and powerful engine, good handling, very solid, no squeaks or rattles. I have also driven the CX-5 turbo, got one as a rental upgrade once when the first car they gave me had issues right out of the lot. I had it for a week, it was new about 1k miles and I put 2k miles on it and they are comparable. The CX-5 has a nicer interior, imo, and a bit more space, but the Dodge is right there with it in terms of performance, even a bit better on acceleration, equal handling, a bit firmer ride and based on my niece's experience it is reliable. You may disagree...just some food for thought :)
Absolutely...IT DOSE.... Trac Pack With cooling seats ..do your homework !!!! if I could post on Sales sticker I would.. 2023 GT PLUS AWD TRAC PACKAGE The vehicle I purchased is FULLY LOADED I BOUGHT the top of the line .....

Im really liking the Hornet GT in this blue color. It's hard to justify the price though.

Love Mine!

those 2 way roads r scary
Is it available in AWD and does it have a pursuit package for law enforcement?
AWD is standard equipment
Does it feel like you’re in a suv setting higher or does it feel like your butt dragging the ground
From what I've learned from another reviewer of this vehicle, it sites a few inches taller than other compact SUVs
I gonna try to afford one of those SUVs bro.
Needs paddles shifters
Absolutely!
Overall, Dodge is not known for reliability. I wouldn't trade in my 2022 Mazda CX-5 Signature for it.
Same CX for me. Dk blue w Dk brn Napa int. Love it.
@@kenfrankel3498 👍👍My CX-5 is dark blue too. No way Dodge can compete with Mazda. Ever.
@2bookoo4u I mean until you take it to the highway then this is gonna beat that mazda
@@TheDanielStrang it’s not always about speed. Mazda quality is for real. And when in sport mode the CX-5 is fast enough.

I prefer ur word salad 2 the Kamala word salad...that's 4 sure
$40.000 for that junk Fiat
ITS STILL A CHRYSLER PRODUCT WHICH MEANS IT'S AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTOM OF THE QUALITY BARREL.
Agree. With so many good brands out there why go with a Chrysler ?
Dodge just won JD power #1 in initial quality last month.

I mean there's some good jeeps and Rams out there so why not a good dodge? All falls under stellantis not Chrysler btw
It's actually an Alfa Romeo you dingdong but then again that doesn't help its quality
