Of all the Create Mod modpacks I've played Star Technology offers a most addicting gameplay loop! Combining Skyblock, Gregtech, and Create Mod is a match made in ADHD heaven. We'll be inventing insane machines in order to progress through the tiers of circuits and tech that this pack has to offer! In addition to Create and Gregtech we get to play with the Thermal Series, Ex Nihilo, and so much more! Come join the automation, insanity, and fun as I play through Star Technology one of the first modern Gregtech packs! It's no Minecraft 1.21 but it sure will be a Tricky Trial ;)

@@dejojotheawsome You should also watch out for an FPS lag when dealing with AE2 facades. When looking up recipes with JEI, my game lags to heck and back when the recipe for facades comes up. Likely because of how facades can be made from any block and JEI just doesn't like displaying "one" recipe for all potential facades or something.

Dejojo, one thing that you could’ve done around 16:00 would’ve been to use a storage bus on your colossal chest, and used that as your storage. That would save you a lot of time with the ME drive and it works just the same

2:40 Just a helpful tip, you can add multiple input and output hatches to Greg Tech Multiblocks. In the LV stage the Kinetic Sieve can be used to process dust just by adding a ULV output and input hatch instead of waiting for MV.
Even the dev of AE2 didn’t want to have types (or at least increase them) but it was done for performance reasons. Also having too many types can’t literally make your world unplayable.
This makes me wonder about how Refined Storage manages to do without types despite of carrying the same amount of items per drive.
@Crazykidthree33 adding the type restrictions is a choice to avoid corruption due to a large amount of unique items. RS can corrupt your items if you have an excessive amount of them such as enchanted armour or damaged items with different nbt tags. this can still happen with ae2 however with the type limits its alot rarer

Same happened to me. Most likely thing is the wooden buckets have a lot of data and animation happen at the same time. And it overloads the jei a bit

@@Shy_002 gtnh's whole deal is "what if we had a really cool pack with a lot of qol features but absolutely ruined it with balancing", or specifically, the lack of it
It's not a hard pack, it's just that after IV (or even before, kinda), you start feeling how poorly made it is, i can't tell you much of how post-UHV is, but the reliance on laser hatches is what entirely kills the pack for me

7:12, i believe this issue is caused by EMI, happens to me when i search up bucket in EMI search and I drop to 9 frames.

I think its caused by like EMI loading tons of recipes for buckets or along the lines of that.

You make things I don't understand look so fun! so much so, i downloaded the Modpack myself lol
MV energy hatches only take up to 2 amps, despite the fact that you have 16 amps converters, so that's why the EBF is flickering when 3 of them are running at the same time
The fps drop came from rendering all those fluid buckets on EMI when the inventory was open, it was fixed when you restarted because it cleared your search bar!

I noticed this pack has EMI, I highly recommend learning about the recipe tree feature and using it for quickly microcrafting, it is extremely helpful in early game gregtech before ae2 patterns
I would've said to name the llamas 'Not Carl' and 'Definitely Not Carl' but then....RIP Llama :( ....then again, it died right after you were sus of the FPS dropping, maybe you sent your henchworms to take 'em out :O
There's a block that automatically collects items so you don't need to pick them up, it's in the "quality of life" section of the quests
You can use create mod vaults with a ME storage bus attached to the vault, it allows for a lot of storage and its cheap
7:25 its because you searched bucket in the EMI and for some reason those wooden buckets tank FPS when they're all displayed
the lag is caused be the wooden bucket items being rendred in jei (large amounts of nbt)
i also recommend adding EMI, its a jei addon that overhauls jei making it alot better
I understand the hate, and in a pack like this, I don't blame you, as making even one thing takes an insane crafting rabbit hole.
However, I do also want to say, that I have never ran into trouble with the channel limit, especially late game.
Usually by the time I need more channels, I am already making my next ME system.
Usually my steps are the most basic ser up, and adding onto that until I hit 8 channels, than working on the Neon rainbow cube, and with P2P tunnels, it is easy to wire large amounts of connections around my base.
Also, I have never personally gotten the final channel achievement in Applied (requiring 2048 channels used)
So even though it can seem annoying at times, it really isn't a real issue.
Unless making each part take 20 different machines, then there are problems.
Also there are type limits because they can destroy your world!
When I saw your first 2 episodes I decided to play the mod pack, I have spent 15 hours and just had the kinetic ore multi block made. I can only imagine the time you’ve spent so far but also this is my first experience with Greg tech and limited knowledge of create.
The amount of clay you need is ridicules I had automated in a crusher cobble to gravel to sand into a washer to get my clay. Unfortunately you only get 20-30 on average from 64 sand.
I also still have yet to make a power source…
@@dyllanoverly1091 dust and water in a barrel make clay at a 1-1 ratio. The water can be automatically refilled with an aqueous accumulator and a fluid cell, and the items can be put in and out with chutes or hoppers, so you really only need to supply dust and wait. Getting the dust also doesn't take very long, if you use effortless building (available with the alt key) to place large amounts of sand at a time and FTB ultimine to hammer it all at once. That does involve some manual work with the sand to dust hammering of course, but I think it's still way faster than an inefficient automation.
I didn’t know about effortless building but I don’t regret making the automation as once I have everything else I need I’ve got infinite sand and gravel with the crushers and when I get the auto hammers I can get dust making getting the different ores and stuff a lot easier. I did it mostly to get the clay automatically which I’ll replace with barrels with the auto hammers to get good conversions and have infinite dust building up.
7:15 yeah same thing happens to me when I search for buckets in jei. I think clear the search bar when you're not using it. It also lags when filtering by things that are craftable.
you don't need to sequentially add upgrade kits by the way, a higher tier kit can be placed on its own
minor correction but ae2 storage drives can hold 8x the number since an item is 1 bit and the number in the name is the bytes
quite sure the "lags" came from you having multiple fluids in your search bar, i do have that alot too, just dont have anything open in the search bar that has alot of fluids (tanks n buckets)
The FPS tanks whenever a full page of buckets is being rendered in EMI

You should use modular routers for automatic sifting!
I'm playing this modpack, I think you should know that if you connect the ae cable to the kinetic mixer, a crash will occur. Be careful
If you connect the giant chest to the AE system via storage bus, you won't have to worry about the storage or disk drives
I'm only watching gameplay of this modpack and my brain is melting as well xD

Hey, i have been playing this modpack had a lot of fun, frustration and other feelings i cannot describe, i just wanted to ask how exactly did you make bonemeal?

@@dejojotheawsome yeah its in first but its never visibly shown, I tried with CREATE funnels but they do not work sadly, probably deployers would but that's way too complicated
EDIT: Hoppers, specifically on the top AND on the bottom, chutes do not work.
Call the llama Carl and give him a nice hat, and build a grave for the other llama (which I would have suggested the name Paul for)
it could be a big with jei or whatever recipe mod youre using because i have the same bug with animated items while i didnt see anything animated on your screen it could be another version of that bug.
name suggestions: brown one is Ignat, white one is Koncha
The llama must be named Greg.
You can build a diamond colossal chest (about 9x9x9) and it will hold a lot of items and you can connect it with the AE system by storage bus
Or use the wood one and it is way more cheaper and more storage(than AE cells)

played this modpack, and yeah searching bucket in JEI tanks your fps.
if you set use item / place block to a different keybind like shift that you get pebbles every tick.
Btw I suggest not sharing an energy hatch but instead sharing all 4 with 1 or 2 inputs and the same for outputs

Here is one thing I notice with fps lag on this modpack that similar to mine.
If you search for bucket it will be really laggy. I assume that it because game is rendering buckets inefficiently.

Diamonds can burn really hot in real life, so burning diamonds for power is possible. It probably isn't practical though.
your FPS issue was because you had buckets searched up in EMI, its the same for me when i open inventorys with that searched up
Dojo i get the same bug too when i have bucket typed u can test it urself just delete your search and u will be fine

The reason that you had bad fps was because you had bucket typed in the EMI search bar why because the bucket are animated.

Thats how I have to play so many modpacks, and yet I still have several modpacks that are still unplayable due to lag causing constant unresponsiveness. And also crashing.
I think that the stone barrel cobble generator is faster than the igneous extruder at the cost of space

The AE2 type limit is mostly because the cells store their information as NBT iirc, and too much NBT can cause lag or crashes.. I'm not entirely sure what RS does differently but I think it's a bit worse at handling large amounts of NBT so
I've never had problems with RS myself in spite of filling drives full of various different items in the past. I often carry a portable grid that I fill exclusively full of items that don't stack from chests I loot while exploring 'cause I'm a loot goblin. Not once has it ever failed to load or crashed my game.
@@Crazykidthree33 this is because RS uses its own data storage format separate from nbt which is a bit slower but doesn't cause a crash with too many types

There’s a bunch of really cool stuff in this pack that’s labeled as greg tech but when I tried normal Greg tech it just wasn’t there and I got a little disappointed

I made that engraver mistake. It was painful to spend a half hour and all those materials on arguably the most useless machine in the pack: the LV engraver.
The frame drop is due to certain liquids being displayed in JEI.
You know you can just use a LV conveyor module and slap it on the input to take stuff out of the drawer right?
You could have implement te BIIIIGG chest into the ground and connect it with storage bus
