Hi Greg,I am totally with you on the training aid..I've tried lots of things..Finally decided to use the physiotherapist (physical.)band,I've used it almost every day for 2 years, since getting back to archery..I wouldn't be half the archer I am today without it..I carry it everwhere..and recommend it to my beginners whole-heartedly..B/W from the U.K.
Thanks so much for this! Your way of draping the band over the hand gets rid of the burn from the band and makes it a lot more comfortable on the "bow hand". Really appreciate you breaking that down for us.
Thanks for the excellent advice. I don't know how to say this better but, in order to get the best shots, I noticed I had to open up my chest and push my shoulder blades together (probably not news to you). The thing is that it feels odd to my body when I do it. I'm going to use this aid to see if I can get my body more comfortable and used to this feeling. Thanks!
Greg! Great videos, great training tool, I use one, probably not as much as I should. Now to turn off the innertoob and go practice, we've got some pretty windy conditions today, so I'm thinking about getting my stretch band out of the drawer.
When I looked this up, this is exactly what I had in mind. Turns out I was already there in my mind. I want to build up the muscles required. I have a 55# Bear Montana Long Bow. I want to get good at it because I often find myself within 15-20yds from the Sitka Blacktail I hunt and a crossbow is heavy and almost too easy at times.
I pulled my shoulder (string hand) muscles & the muscles around both my elbows (repetitive pulling motion from work). I’m now rehabbing with stretch bands with the lightest set & it’s great. No pain (38lb limbs)!
I use similar bands, endless loop style. 25lb for release practice and then 45lb for back tension, each draw I hold for 10 count 20 times every other day. Works great for strengthening your draw stability and back tension muscles..
What do you want them to help with? I used one, but found it was easy to anticipate. To me, a clicker is good for showing you a set draw distance and that is about it.
I can't believe I never thought of this. THANK YOU.
I’m new to archery and this is such a great piece of info! Thank you so much!!
Welcome to the world of Archery. Enjoy the process

Resistance band training's covered on Level 1 coach training in the UK- they're great; introduce them to every archer I coach :)

That is awesome. Got to try this
Also can go around the elbow. Saw that on YT too
Thank you for sharing sir👍🙏

Thanks Greg
I agree with wearing classes. Transparent Bike glasses perfect.
Thanks
Was just doing this laying on the floor.. .. .. ..unreal.
When I really need a demonstration (archery) of something I get left-handed person! But there are only 10% from all of them, they say! 🙂
Now you know what it like to be a lefty and only have right handed people demonstrate things.
Is that a right hand bow being shot left handed ?
Nope, its left handed
what do you think of clickers as a training aid?
