    Hi, just come across your video, I used to own the Escort Cosworth back in 2003, it’s great to see it again. Thanks Rick

    Always nice to clean and re grease a CV done wheel bearings years ago on my first car a mk3 Escort cleared the hub up to get all the swarf out from the offending side ive got the urge to by a mk4 XR3i or an RS Turbo as I was in the trade years ago to lighten my fire to tinker about revive and tune up

    Great video, always good to see you actually do the repair job's as it's always good to pick up tips! As an example the last time I did an outer cv boot I did it on the car..after watching your video definitely would have been easier if I had taking the drive shaft out..👍

    Shaftec do an uprated driveshaft for lowered cars if I remember correctly…

    • @eraant1
      @eraant1 Год назад +1

      I don't think it's cause its lowered. I think the rubber had just perished. I did put them on in 2007 after all 🤣

    • @julianwebb8712
      @julianwebb8712 Год назад

      @@eraant1 sorry, didn’t mean to imply that lowering the car has any effect on the boots……just that the uprated shafts are an upgrade option if you’re taking standard shafts off for any reason. I believe the Shaftec parts are a touch longer overall which helps when lowering and the actual joints are a bit beefed up also incase of increased torque of modified engines

      @@julianwebb8712 I see what you mean. I didn't actually know of any company's that made uprated shafts. Might need them in the future 😉

    Great video mate. I like the way you’re formatting your films, maybe the camera could be closer to your bench, but it’s not a criticism. What’s everyone’s thoughts on silicone CV boots, personally never used any but thinking of giving some a go when needed.
