Still dont know why WG would nerf this tank. The shell velocity used to be 1500 but wg nerfed it to 1000.. Meanwhile t8 prem td has the same gun and still 1500 velocity
I loved this tank in old days. I have over 1000 battles with it and after the stupid nerf I don't play it at all. I don't understand the nerf when there was Leopard 1 which was always better

Remember T8 Udes 14 alt 5 has 1400 velocity on the standard rounds
Its stupid how wg nerfed this tanm. It was fine as a sniper tank but no. For some reason wg nerfs this sniper tank but then buffs the leopard 1 to be a sniper? Tf.....
The tank just doesn't do anything well, low shell velocity, horrible armor, bad dispersion, it just doesn't do anything good

Thx for covering my fav tank. As a frenchman it hurts to see one of France's MBT be treated in such way by WG. So I dedicated to making it work for the above averagre player that i am.
I have no tier IX, X above 1 mark but i have got the 30b to 89% and i am steadily increasing.
My first mistake was to try and turn it into a leo. But with low shell velocity and a real troll gun i stagnated at 83%
I realised that the stongpoints of this tank are:
-DPM
-Vision
-Camo
On focusing on these points i got my 2nd mark with a good crew and equipment.
- I reload in 5.55 sec reaching a DPM of over 4 200
- I have a build with CVS that i run when there are no lights ( I have a screen of a 10 k spotting + patrol duty on Prokho)
my 2nd build sacrifices Vert stabilisers that i replaced by improved aiming. This compensates the loss of aim in field modifications when i chose the improved reloading option.
I really do enjoy this tank now and I perform better in it then all my other tierX meds. I also managed to finished ranked battles with it
Afaik this tank was pretty bad in reality - not that it is valid reason to make it bad in the game and ruin balance. I like this tank too, but tier 9 is way better. If only 30B had 340 HEAT it would look soooo much better.
What are you two builds exactly? I’ve been wanting to try out this tank
@@Eshelion Well in real life those heat rounds would have like 400mm of pen :/ and APFSDS shell velocity of 1500m/s
@@Aguy644 Yep, and in rl most of those tanks didn't even have a chance to meet each other + most of them would out each other with 1 penetrated shot. :D

If you have basic equipment to crew the tank i would recomment skill's basic set up (rammer, stab, vent)
my first set up is:
improved rammer, bounty aim, improved vents (in field mod i gave up the reload perk and focused on aim, giving me a total of 0.27 aim and 5.85 sec reload)
My second set up is my camo set up. It has seen recent modifications but long story short this is my final decision:
Iimproved rammer, cvs, bounty exhaust.
This build is incredible as it allows you to outspot everyone except lights wich always gives you the choice of engaging (my camo values are 44.52 still and 37.14 on the move with a 6.08 reload wich is better then my amx 13 105 right now...)
This build has given me confidence again and after a crash in my marking i am skyrocketing as i average 5k combined per game. I did a 7.2k damage game on el halluf 2 nights ago)
It is now my main build
AMX 30 was one of my faves, it was challenging to play for sure but had a unique “feel” to it.

I love teh t9 for this reason, not as good on the paper than leopard pta, but I love the feeling 😉

My father was an amx 30 B2 tank shooter 30 years ago.
Its arrow ammunition could destroy any Western or Russian tank at 4000 meters and shots were possible at 5000 meters with laser rangefinder.
Yeah, the later versions of the AMX 30 were super good.
World of Tanks AMX 30 is an early version tho.
@@AllMightyKingBowser the AMX-30B was not really an early version of the tank, it was a mid-range production (considering the upgradeprocess it went through for the designation).
However the one in WoT is not an AMX-30B but rather an AMX-30B2 (because it fires APFSDS [wich is APCR because WG packs all kinds of sabot-rounds into the APCR category), wich is the late production variant, for the french. It literally fires OFL-105-F1, wich was introduced as part of the upgradepackage from the 30B to the 30B2
The 30b would be totally acceptable if the heat rounds had 20 - 30 more penetration and the camo was better. It's just so tall in an age with CVS you can get spotted through everything.

30b has 4k dpm and better view range and camo than leopard 1. but gun handling and ammunition sux ass
I love playing and watching non meta tanks, because then you don't have everything, but you have to deal with what you have. It makes the decisionmaking far more interesting

The tier 9 has exactly the same gun but better turret armour, better turrer traverse speed, better power to weight, 4 second faster track repairs, by going up a tier you get 250 hit points and slightly better aim time but worse bloom. . . I think the 30b needs a bit of a buff,

I honestly enjoy this tank, and wish they brought it back into the meta. The teir 9 is my favorite medium tank at the moment, next to the type 59.

Anybody else remember when they were buffing the tier 10 mediums and had announced some buffs for the amx 30b, but when those buffs came the buffs for it never appeared? They didn't mention going back on those buffs or anything.
Played the tank on test server today and did 10k dmg, it was nerfed but its still good
I like when you play unusual tanks the odd ball ones are interesting to me.

I remember when this tank was released ,i don't know if was like that but there was rumors that it is the most accurate tank in the game. The way you can hit the cupolas or pixel shots was crazy with this tank. This is what I remember about this tank...obviously now it's a bad tank.
It was originally balanced like a Leopard, but was later changed to have more DPM, less accuracy, but better on the move gun handling (as well as giving it ~300mm effective turret mantlet armor instead of the old ~150mm). At least it doesn't have only 30mm of armor on the cupola anymore (is now 100mm, so you need some form of HESH to pen it properly).

They should have just buffed the DPM of this tank and a little bit of the accuracy, balancing it out by giving it 360 alpha. I really hate that they removed this from the tech tree.
this buffs are called STB-1
"Back in my days" this tank had identical stats to the leo 1 and after WG had to "change it to be diffrent play style" this tank was ruined in my opinion
Whatever happened to the buff that was announced 2 years back?
I actually made a comment about this too, when they had announced buffs for meds (including this one) they just never implemented it or even said anything about why they didn't.
edit: at the time I specifically went down the line because they were buffing it, so it was a waste of time.
If this tank had no conpula and has turret amour it would be my favourite tank dpm i crazy good

You are not alone, I prefer the amx to the leo as well. That DPM shreds at close to mid range. It could get a pen buff though.
ur not alone, played both of them and i love the 30b but dont like the leo that much, crazy dpm punishes every enemy at mid to close range and the funny angles and turret armor makes you bounce a lot more than leo, only bad things are accuracy, pen and the huge cupola on the turret bigger than my house

This Medium is one of the hardest to play, 2 good things IMO are speed and DPM, rest is mediocre and armor is terrible as most French tanks have terrible armor.
It's not bad when you know how to play it

i dont know why you cannot compare this tank with Leopard PTA and Leo X. They"re quite same.
In the second game, I think that Baboon kinda ruined your entire plan... I know that you love your baboons :) but maybe put the anonimizer in 2 out of 3 games while recording. No matter how much we love seeing games full of paid actors I believe majority of us likes to see you have a great game more ^^ So it might be a good idea to play few games with anonimizer and few without ^^
Amx 30b had a sad story wg killed great tank because was better than Leo bam a few months later Leo got buff give back old 30b

Pretty bad... Let's see how you handle tier 6. It is easy to play that what you usually show. Take some overpowered tier 6 like Bretagne panther and let's see how you do :)
I think no matter how bad these collector tanks are people should buy all of them T10 collector tanks because some day WG will remove these tanks and re introduce them in black market or in bond shop for some ridiculous price tag.
