- SSSniperwolf has finally "apologized" to Jacksfilms for doxxing him to millions. And SSSniperwolf's statement has creators very unhappy, but not as much as RUclips. RUclips responded by basically equating Jacksfilms and SSSniperwolf, and it only got worse from there...
This is a commentary video on the recent SSSniperwolf/Jacksfilms drama, with a particular focus the statements by SSSniperwolf and RUclips.

I really hate that RUclips defends creators that make money for them. I feel like if bigger creators threaten to leave RUclips they'll crack and ban her, but I feel like thats unlikely.
The problem is, there's no where else for creators to feasibly go

They only care about money. That’s the sad reality of the world. People only care about the cash flow and obviously they don’t care unless their pockets are lined. RUclips used to be a decent place (I have multiple videos that I love from way back in the day (2009)) yet it’s sad and incredibly disappointing that this is the reality. I’m not a content creator yet seeing a professional thief get away with this and put people at risk is just unjustifiable. If anything I hope that Anonymous takes action.

What is more disgusting is how her "apology" came right alongside youtube's response. They're together on this. While jack got ignored, she got contacted and told what to do.

Thanks for that important detail. A genuine apology isn't forced and isn't something you go on to whine about to your millions of subs. Simply awful.
It's kinda ironic how they're more than willing to keep the very thing that puts their business in a bad light, the sensible thing to do is to completely drop that person, this creator can't provide anything for RUclips now because nobody likes her now, likeness plays a role in ad revenue, which she now has none, if anything, they're just keeping a liability, they're just riding a racehorse with a busted leg, if anything, they're screwed
*Here's the worst part:* RUclips can (and almost certainly WILL) continue to run ads on Sniperwolf's videos. Being demonetized just means SHE can't profit off her channel. But RUclips still can. If they had banned her, YT would also have to remove her channel and give up all those sweet, sweet sacks of cash-money that come along with it. Which is why it will never happen.
That makes even more sense...
Something I saw someone else comment was that we don't have definitive proof that they'll even demonetize except for their word. They could just say they're gonna do that to "satisfy" the angry masses and not even follow through with it. With how much they're protecting SW, I can see that possibility happening.

Well I'm down to her being demonetized at the very least, she doesn't deserve to earn money like that by taking other people's content and barely even react on it. Low effort should not be monetized. However, temporary??? Bruh
I really hope Jack takes Sniperwolf to court over this. We all knew youtube wouldn't do anything but this was somehow worse than what we expected. Its really frustrating that creators are forced to defend themselves with how useless RUclips is with protection their innocent users over their "important" one's

Yeah. It would not have turned out well for him. Even if he went through with the lawsuit. Likely, never go anywhere. As the courts would side with the woman, regardless of the evidence. We all know it. Be costly as it is. Plus, RUclips defended her. Basically, they would also have to be signed in the lawsuit as well. And we all know, big companies work on time frames that you measure out into centuries to get anywhere.
And this is already a platform that had one crazy person (I know of), go to the HQ and shot up the place. Physically shot up the place. Shooter was killed by police and no one else died...still, RUclips learned nothing from that. Almost like they need a repeat. Maybe more direct methods. But, I am speaking hypothetical and not being serious or threatening. Yet, big companies need a reality check. A slap in the face. All to be reminded, they are not untouchable. And I am talking about the people who run them.
It's probably to simplistic of me to say but they should sue and move houses, even if it means living with friends or in a hotel for a bit. Jack should sue and press charges as best he can because she literally did a crime.

RUclips is incredibly bad lately. Not only this, but they also allow scam ads, one of which I reported for impersonating a popular creator. The response was basically "we found no problem here".
We need to keep going with what Jacksfilms started. Smaller creators who have had their videos “featured” on a SSSniperwolf’s reaction (or any others’) need to make a claim for their content if they deem it not transformative. Get the credit they deserve.

Pretty sure RUclips can be held legally responsible if any harm comes to Jack in the future from Ssniperwolf’s side due to their inaction, same for Instagram, Twitter, and any other social media that she has done this on. I believe it’s considered… being an accessory to assault, homicide, or stalker. I could be wrong though because I didn’t take law school so don’t take my word for it. I just know that what she did is a federal crime and she by all means can be arrested and tossed into a federal prison for it.

i think boycotting any advertiser that appears on her channel. Sponsors, preroll and midroll ads - ALL of it. If they appear on there then they go on the list. If someone with reach could organize this then advertisers would want her gone.

It feels passive aggressive because she didn't write it. Someone else wrote it with the stuff that she had to say (such as "thanks for youtube to hold me accountable"), and because of that it sounds... off. But it's for that reason, it's not her vocabulary nor her way of sentencing at all.

RUclips is so wild to me, bc it’s so horrifically corrupt and concerning, but NONE OF US CAN LEAVE. There’s no alternative platform that works just as effectively or has such a widespread reach. We’re stuck in a hell of our own making.

It's terrible how they've chosen to handle this situation. There are thousands of creators who now fear that someone like Sssniperwolf could do the same to them. Think about how many families on RUclips now fear they could be doxxed. No creator could ever feel safe in their own home. Let alone to leave their kids at home even if they have to pop out for a few minutes. There needs to be a stricter punishment for this kind of behaviour. People may now risk this kind of stunt if they're okay with this kind of punishment. RUclips today have become an enabler.
She also recently uploaded a new RUclips short about Omegle, probably to replace whatever comes up when you search for what's been revealed about her in the past week. Then again I could be reading too much into that.

Here's my theories on this:
1. She purposely misspelt his name cause she didn't actually want to apologise to him. His channel name is Jacksfilms, not Jacksfilm. So technically she didn't apologise to him, lol what a sneaky sh*t she is.
2. I'm 1000% sure youtube has reached out to her and told her what to do, what do say etc.
The way they posted these ridiculous statements the same day just says it all.

Agreed! Everyone should reach out to RUclips's biggest advertisers and inform them that their ads are being played on a criminal's channel. Something along the lines of:
RUclipsr SSSniperwolf recently used her platform to attack and dox a smaller creator, which is an illegal act. RUclips has not and will not take the appropriate action against this creator, meaning that your ads are still being played alongside her videos. Are you ok with your product and brand being associated with this criminal behavior?
Send a similar message to that to as many advertisers you can to put more pressure on RUclips!

@JimmyRobins Both YT and SSSniperwolf would have done much better to keep it short. In general, it's when statements like these go beyond the basic statement/apology that they get into trouble. Partly because it increases the odds of saying something stupid (like "both sides"), and partly because the more you say, the more glaring it is that you *haven't* said certain things.
Thought experiment: Sssniperwolf says "Sorry to everyone, and especially Jacksfilms. I screwed up. I'm going to reflect and aim to be better" - short to the point of terse, no solid commitment to anything, but still infinitely better than her actual "apology".
There is no doubt in my mind that Sniperwolf wrote that. Either it’s ChatGPT or her manager; she is not that composed and the Jackfilm mistake is too obvious for her not to make.

Incredibly well said. First vid i have found since the public statements that covered the nuance of each statement in a clear and concise way. You do a great job at looking at things logically and being a mouthpiece for many others that have the same issues with these responses. I truly hope the community continues pushing for a better resolution, although it is unlikely we will get one.
Getting banned off of RUclips isn't a big enough punishment for her. She needs to be put behind bars. She already has a lawsuit against her by her ex so it's another big reason to put her in jail.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT YT HAVE DONE HERE… however, I actually think this will do A LOT more damage to her, being a huge creator, than you think.
I think she will lose majority of her sponsors. She will also need to continue pumping out content at the same momentum, while demonetised or she will lose her young audience fast.
If you look at Logan Paul, he was on her viewer level and age bracket… his channel never recovered.
It will be very interesting.

heard someone on instagram a while back say “if the punishment for a crime is a fine, then it’s only a crime for the poor” and it kinda feels like this situation. to her this punishment is a slap on the wrist but to a small creator, losing income like this could be a life-changer. she’s not going to learn anything and this type of thing will almost definitely happen again now that youtube has set such a dangerous precedent.

This whole situation is a bit sickening. I’m just getting into YT as an extremely small creator myself, and at first I was excited to be creating, but now I am scared that I can’t safely share my opinion AND that my content (that I work very hard to create!) will be stolen by a “reactor”.
Jimmy, do you think content creators are going to be looking for a new site to post their content on? YT is more than just a site to post content to, so I imagine the situation is super tricky. But it does seem YT gets away with treating the content creators here shitty because there's just no where else for them to go. With no real competitors, they have little incentives to not abuse their power at the end of the day.
The thing is, there aren't any viable alternatives. RUclips is the best platform for creators, but it's still not a GREAT one by any means
@@JimmyRobins Yeah it does feel that essentially YT isn't just the best but the only platform for creators, which poses a lot of issues in how they're able to get away with how they treat those who make content on it.

I heard that gfuel has dropped her as a sponsor due to this controversy. And from what I hear it's a huge sponsor so that might hurt her. So maybe we as a community can put preasure on her sponsors by doing a bud light level boycott and put preasure on her as well by doing what Jack did originally and encourage her content's original creators to put copyright strikes on her.

Until she recognises that Jacksfilms has a point about the lazy theft of others' work (no more than that, just accepting that she might have made some mistakes in the name of content), any apology is hard to take seriously because she fundamentally sees this as a personal conflict rather than valid and justified criticism of her dubious ethics.

I’ve been waiting for your thoughts on this. The fact that it looks like they talked to sssniperwolf and not to jacksfilms about this is not surprising anymore. The temporary suspension does NOTHING in the long run but she’s only “apologising” about this now because she HAS to for her image and that “she’s losing money” from the temp suspension.
The thing that sounds most is her "apology" doesn't even sound like she wrote it. The thing not worth writing isn't worth accepting, be it bot or pr stooge.
RUclips has had issues with commentary channels for years. This is just the most obvious case of it. Critical thinking is not allowed on the internet. Only memes.

I’d say I never would’ve seen a response coming, but to be real, it was completely obvious that youtube would refuse to actually punish a act this bad. Like people would be pissed if you didn’t tell your kid off if they hit another kid, but since youtube has a monopoly, guess all of us are the “kids” in this analogy, so only the favourite “child” gets away with shit. SMH
At this point, the best bet to get SSSniperwolf punished is to get strikes against her channel. We know she steals content, so have the original creators file copyright strikes against her videos. There is a way to make it more devastating and I have heard about it. Some time ago, RUclipsr Point Crow got 2 strikes done to him by Nintendo for modded BOTW videos. They split the complaints with one video in one complaint and the rest in the other. Both got approved and he got 2 strikes. What I am about to suggest may take lots of time, but it may very well be worth it. By having creators submit individual complaints for each video stolen from them (or for other reasons. I heard she made fun of someone’s childhood picture), there is a good chance that the odds of a strike going through can go up. This may have been a fight to get creators their credit, but now it is a fight to remove a dangerous criminal from this platform.
