Severn Valley Railway Visit Saturday 21st February 2015

My first visit back to the severn valley railway since February 2012.
Our visit fall upon there half term running were there 2 steam locos running.
The locomotives running on this day were LMS Ivatt 2-6-0 mogul 43106 nicknamed the flying pig and battle of britain bullied pacific 34053 Sir Kieth Park.
We start at Kidderminster were we see 43106 as she stands in the station waiting to depart with the 10.30am train to Bidgenorth.
We join the 10.30am train for a run behind 43106 to Bridgenorth. The run was magnificent along the river severn.
We head along the line were there on a small section a 5mph speed restriction as there was some new track being laid, we soon pass it passing over the victoria bridge an arrived into arley were we see 34053 pass us as the bullied was hauling the 10.25am train bridgenorth.
Soon we were on our way again heading for Higley an Hampton Load.
We soon arrived at Bridgenorth were i had a 2 hour layover which gave me a chance to see the engine sheds. It was GWR heaven at the sheds were we see 2857, 1501, 7812 Erlstoke Manor and 1450 that was visiting from the Dean Forest Railway.
We see the yards 08 shunter moving the locos round the yard.
We soon see the arrival of 34053 from Kidderminster.
We join 34053 for the return journey home on the 14.03pm train back to Kidderminster, soon it was time to go as we departed for kidderminster along the 16 mile line.
The bullied performed brilliantly along the route we pass 43106 at Arley. Soon we were on the move again to Bewdley and the last stretch to Kidderminster were our journey ends.
To sum up then it was a magnificent day my first visit back to the SVR in 3 years an what a way to make my return to the railway with my first trip along the line an it was awesome i'm looking forward to my next visit to the railway but that is another story.
