Honestly, I have been playing msfs2020 for a year now and the only issue I have is the taxiing. My game has never crashed, I have stable 30fps (could go to 60 up in the air) and I have no complaints about the camera system. Before msfs2020 my primary sim was XP11. If you use the sim from steam put -FastLaunch in the launch options. (that will save about 1 minute of loading time) If you have Nvidia go to the control panel and go to manage 3d settings and then program settings and find msfs2020 now look for max frame rate and set it to 29, in the sim options set v-sync to off. Now you should have stable 29 fps which is more than enough (especially when they are stable). Great vid !
MSFS has been my primary sim since I got my computer that can finally run it and especially since the likes of PMDG and Fenix I think the only reason I would go back is for the nice planes I bought that still aren’t in MSFS yet (especially the QualityWings 787)
I agree with the points you made. The switches can be very annoying trying to find the exact point of contact. Also the crashes can be super frustrating. I was 10ft from parking at a gate after a 4 hour flight and the sim crashed, arrrghhhhhhh!!!!!!! It does seem they have overcomplicated things, like the camera. But I must say overall I'm enjoying my first flight sim. I've never tried any other sims so I can't compare them. Anyway, another great video, keep up the good work.
Cameras and Ground handling are my two big hang-ups with the sim, hoping they open the camera SDK in the future for 3rd parties to make camera add-ons.
I thought I read the camera system wont be opened up for devs, which is why Chase Cam wont be developing any products for MFS. But that's just something I heard on the internet, so who knows. Thanks for watching!

MSFS on my machine is fine tuned to the extent that I get very good frames without any stutters. And that is with the Fenix A320. Never had a crash and is very enjoyable to fly. I caught myself out many times stopping short of deleting X-Plane 11. I think that day is approaching very fast.
I love the flight dynamics and IFR features in X-Plane 11, especially the Zibo Mod B738, but the eye candy is amazing in MSFS. I wish we could merge the scenery and graphics from MSFS into X-plane and make the perfect sim. Lol
I suppose technically MSFS is now my primary spending most of my time in the fenix and maddog…but i still have p3d and xplane installed, primarily for the dash8 and PMDG long haulers that I occasionally fly and in xp the inibuilds airbusses. DCS will never leave as MSFS is not designed for military operations. Agree with many of your points, but think you missed the weather system. WX radar coming soon I believe. But when it updates the weather you can get some violent changes during flights.
I have one more issue with msfs2020. It's great that the devs keep updating the game and fixing bugs etc. but I hate how those updates are forced and you don't have the option to delay the update because you don't have the time and patience to download a huge update and then wait for some of your mods to be updated and then reinstall them all. Sometimes smaller updates don't break your mods and it's only a matter of 10 extra minutes in the loading screen but still. Sometimes you just want to start up your sim and fly somewhere but then - surprise! An update. And then you just quit.

In my opinion, no x-plane 12 is around the corner, and both pmdg and fenix are payware. x-plane's physics are extremely superior to fs2020, and with x-plane 12 physics will almost perfectly be real life. in the latest dev blogs they have written about them using irl checklists and not using artificial plane maker values and planes fly like they would in real life. thats not the case for fs2020 with most planes. and in x-plane 12 all planes fly like real life, not just 2 famous regional jets. plus the bugs and crashes are horrible, its like they released a pre closed alpha to us.

Yes, yes you should
You're partially to blame for my decision
You are most welcome 😁
Is battlefield ready?
Serious questions only, please
My PC isn’t powerful enough. I own it though
Next time you upgrade your PC, might be worth trying it back out again.

Crashes to much still and has been out how long. I hate it every time there is an update it messes something up. And everything cost too much if you get all of the DLCs it would cost you $8,000.. No thanks I pass X Plane 12 will be for me.
Thanks for watching!
The more updates are being launched for the MSFS , the more unpredictable the sim is becoming….. multiple Crashes, non responsive mouse, it is a complete nightmare to use the MSFS even with the best specs !!!
No. Cannot fly more than 4 hours without the sim crashing randomly
My crashes have always been limited to the loading screen. Still frustrating.
Thanks for watching!
@@hochmaniac I could be flying along with a steady 30fps (almost never get 60fps no problems in either standard or add on aircraft then it’s just freeze and CTD. Only ever got one complete flight with the Fenix so far and one CTD occurred just 50ft from touchdown. So I’m definitely keeping X-Plane and upgrading it
xp11>msfs
In my opinion, no
x-plane 12 is around the corner, and both pmdg and fenix are payware. x-plane's physics are extremely superior to fs2020, and with x-plane 12 physics will almost perfectly be real life. in the latest dev blogs they have written about them using irl checklists and not using artificial plane maker values and planes fly like they would in real life. thats not the case for fs2020 with most planes. and in x-plane 12 all planes fly like real life, not just 2 famous regional jets. plus the bugs and crashes are horrible, its like they released a pre closed alpha to us.
I'm very interested to see how Xplane stacks up. Their weather engine looks to be equal, but I'm not sure about the scenery on the ground.
Ima be straight up. P3D and X-Plane is better in everyway except graphics wise (generally). If I were to switch to MSFS, it would be because of PMDG.
I hope/think/expect MFS to close the gap in performance over next few months
No, no, no. MSFS was perfect out of the box. Just ask the streamers & RUclipsrs who got paid by Microsoft to say it. ;) LOL
