Peter was so ready and explosive well before the rest of the band caught up, they should have let him sing on a lot more songs through the years. Great to hear this really early stuff!
@@JohnBGood-ry9wj yeah Paul relied heavily on a scripted rap. After the reunion tour he started that “pee-pull….” Singing every word Like he was a preacher.
@@awesomefanger from all accounts, this is also the era where Pete and Ace would wait till *after* the show to go get fucked up and party. when this lineup was sober in these earliest years they were one hell of a band!
@@TheLarryburns84Ace never waited until after the gigs. He was hammered at this gig according to those who were there. But he still played like a boss. 😎
that fan that comes on stage sounds like adam sandler love anything kiss but this hard to like. glad it never made an album. but its great to hear this lost song like most kiss songs i dont like it will grow on me
This really is a song KISS SHOULD have recorded! Maybe new lyrics, but great groove and riffs! They called it a 'stinker', it's anything but! I agree the lyrics are cheesy but the music is great! Gene said the riff was 'outstanding'!
I was really expecting some hippie 60s byrds shit but this was pretty cool. I can see why it didn't make the album, but Paul (and Gene) are really great songwriters. The first 2 albums are so solid, basic two guitar rock with great harmonies.
Peter was the most skilled at this point. Best voice, too. I'll be the first to say that Peter isn't a great songwriter. But he was badass back in the early days.
I love hearing the ancient Kiss that was never recorded its pretty amazing!!!Back in those days they would all have a few drinks before during and after the shows, With the exception of Gene. I think Gene would have had a better time with some belts of whiskey, But thats his thing. He would rather go find some grungy looking broad that liked ugly men and get crabs LOL Rich LUKE
Paul criticized Peter once for acknowledging his fans from Canarsie cause it didn't sound big time. Listen to his talk at this show, terrible but they were all learning. Some band members were bigger assholes than others
I wonder if this was actually recorded at Muther’s not The Daisy? Ace used to wear a shirt advertising the club Muther’s and they played there… And Paul says “ cmon Muther’s!’ during this.

Their youth is so charming. And future KISS power is already present.
Their voices always blended great together creating great sounding harmonies.
I just attended the 45th anniversary of this show at Carney's pub.
Lou Linnet skyped. Awesome night
What i love the most is the confidence they had even back then. Its just amazing!
NOTHING wrong with Peter's drumming there! He's rocking it!
man I'm loosing my mind to this tune!!!
Me too ... loving it
Peters voice is so cool

Lorenzo de' Medici his voice was great, but I can see why he didn’t get to be on the mic later on. He’d talk over Paul and curse all the time.

So much Mountain in this one. Great to hear it.
hanoibomb That's true-"Blood of the Sun" comes to mind.
So cool to listen to this song !! 👍❤️
This song rocks! :)
Marvellous! They were special... unique... groundbreaking.
I love this song!

Awesome treasure, this Daisy live is so amazing!
How amazing!!! So damn Raw!
I bought 10 copies of this on the first day!
6:05 i was made 4 loving you !!
Good ears!
WORLDWIDEPRANKS I was made for loving you Begins hahahaha
not really
Jim A fuck yes
Has a sort of soul feel on top of the hard rock. I see why Ace gave this tune a mention in his book.
Holy freaking soundboard, Batman!
Finally! A live recording of "Life In The Woods"! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
xoxo
The Clarences
Taking their beginning baby steps toward super stardom! Work it, fellas.!!!
Gene and Paul had amazing harmonization even then.
Thanks for putting this gem online!
Paul's intro sounds like they had some regular fans. Peter's channeling the king of soul.
KISS in the woods would be easy 🎶🖤👣
Interesting thank you for sharing
I don't care if pplthink this sucks ... I ❤️It
💃😎🔥
So confident and yet so unaware of the worldwide superstardom that was just around the corner for them. How cool is that?
very good i like it
Life in the woods would be easy YEAH!!
"FUCKIN' ROCK n' ROLL!!"
Rock Mannnnn!!!
This really is a song KISS SHOULD have recorded! Maybe new lyrics, but great groove and riffs!
They called it a 'stinker', it's anything but! I agree the lyrics are cheesy but the music is great!
Gene said the riff was 'outstanding'!
I agree!!!
I disagree. While it's cool to hear it, I totally get why they never recorded it. Doesn't match up with the rest of the stuff at all.

lol
can't unhear that lol
Hilarious
Fuckin awesome!
Their harmonies are are pretty good
They get a lot of heat for being only a “show” band.. but their music is what’s the best IMO. They all don’t get enough credit for their singing.
I would only pay to see them if they signed a paper confirming that they would play this and Acrobat and Paul wore the Bandit makeup
I was 6 days old when they recorded that, lol.
Peter owned this whole show!!
I like it
It's a good thing they dropped this one from the set.
Why they didn’t put this song on the First Album. This song Rocks 🤘🔥🤘🔥😎
The song with lyrics of course are A-1!
I was really expecting some hippie 60s byrds shit but this was pretty cool. I can see why it didn't make the album, but Paul (and Gene) are really great songwriters. The first 2 albums are so solid, basic two guitar rock with great harmonies.
C'mon mothers!
One of the best outros of Peter Criss in my opinion
La voz de ace is amazinng
So cool that they invited Filthy Frank up there to sing with them
Fucking rock n roll.....yeah
7:25 Cool!

Ace : YAH
That's a Humble Pie riff from Rockin the Fillmore Performance...around 6:05
Life in the woods! Yeah!! Life in the woods Yeah! Life in the woods Yeah! Life in th....LMFAO
notice how Paul stops singing after "Watch that fuckin feedback"? Peter always targeted Paul on and offstage in the early days
Missed it , by a MILE
Life in the HOOD
Laugh in the Woods
Funny how in the VERY early days, Peter did the onstage banter, not Paul.
FUCKING ROCK ’N ROLL!!!
Paul criticized Peter once for acknowledging his fans from Canarsie cause it didn't sound big time. Listen to his talk at this show, terrible but they were all learning. Some band members were bigger assholes than others
Peter Criss !!!!!!!
esta chido kiss

03:41 James Hetfield was already a fan
I thought there were no existing bootlegs of this song. Where the help did they find it?
Who knew James Hetfield was in the crowd and made his singing debut at the 3:43 mark? 😂😂😂
James Hetfield 3:48
Where the hell is the guy (friend) up on the stage? That is iconic!!!
in the middle of the breakdown it sounds like adam sandler is singing with them
Completely. Makes me laugh every time.
@@pstewartdrum who actually is singing it though?
6:01 and just like how Acrobat / too young’s riff made Detroit rock city, life in the woods’ ending riff made I was made for lovin’ you, lol
You can also hear some “i was made for loving you” in it as well
A house made of flowers and cheese?
Is this real ? I know about cause the book Nothin' to lose
Exist a demo or something?
Is Ace on this?
Yep.
I know one thing: life in the woods ain't easy! lol
The audience member hehe 😂
Haha wonder why they left this off the album. lol

The infamous conga line
Idk I think life in the woods would be a bitch.
I'm sorry what's the title of this song?
just awful but awesome too LOL
I like it 😂
With a bit of spit and polish this had the makings of a really good song. Although the chorus line is a bit too repetitive!
Sounds like the Doobie Brothers!
😂😂😂😂 Life in the wooooods....
I'm a die hard classic Kiss fan. This is entertaining, but it sucks
terrible song. What I really want to know is, would life in the woods be easy?
Lots of kiss demos are awesome, this , not so much.
Total Alex Chilton Big Star rip off ... sad hack at that.
M
The band I had when I was 12 sounded better than this lol.
And now you know why they trashed that song ! Lol
This song is so.... terrible :))))))))))) It's way too shitty even for Wicked children-of-flowers Lester :)
+MrGGAaron are you kidding me?
What a comically awful song. Charming, but awful.
@Greg Hubbard Paul claims to have written it. He was inspired by a Buddy Miles song called DREAMS.
Awfully awful
