Booster Gold does have a surprisingly compelling storyline in Justice League Unlimited. Despite starting out as a grandstanding hero seeking fame, he grows into a character who helps others out of the kindness of his own heart, making him one of the best developed versions of Booster Gold.
George Newbern's career as the voice of Superman spans almost two decades and covers over a dozen instances of his voice leading the charge as Superman.
Superman is the ultimate role model. Even without his powers, Clark Kent would be someone to look up to. He is a great reporter who has rooted out corruption and an all-around amazing human being, taught by Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent to care about everyone and help whoever he could. His powers are what have allowed him to reach the next level and becomes a hero who saves the universe.
That's why in the Justice League movie, Bruce said, "The team needs CLARK." He also told Alfred about Superman that "he's more human than me." It's not the powers that make him Superman, it's the man.
Vixen takes the "help people" part of being a superhero to the next level. She serves as a perfect example to her fellow heroes on how to comport themselves.
One of the best qualities of Justice League Unlimited was its amazing range, with hilarious episodes balancing out shockingly dark and grim stories. Incredibly innovative and spanning decades, the shows and the distinct character models of the DC Animated Universe influenced and informed an entire generation of superhero fans. With that in mind, it surely looks as though DC Comics are tapping into the nostalgia caused by fans seeing their favorite superhero team just as they remembered them growing up.
One of the show's greatest strengths in characterization, and what makes it still so important today, was that Justice League Unlimited was the culmination of one of the ultimate Batman iterations ever made.
***** You mean the movie that took one of the most influential comics of all time and reduced it down to an orgy of special effects and little else? Even the V for Vendetta adaptation was miles ahead of that.
An episode featuring heroes largely considered the Justice League's B-listers, Patriot Act is an excellent example of what the expanded DC Animated Universe so compelling, with characters fully fleshed out and interesting.
The chemistry between Black Canary and Green Arrow is never lacking because this pair respects and acknowledges the decisions of the other, and works well as a team, making them a favorite among superhero couples.
Known for its ambitious and character-driven stories, Justice League Unlimited was the capstone for decades of television storytelling, featuring a sprawling tour of the DC Universe that was friendly to comic and non-comic readers alike.
From Adam West's Batman to Robert Pattison's Batman, this night crusader has declared war on crime and become one of the most popular vigilantes in fiction. His dedication to justice and crime is unparalleled. Batman has the rudimentary resources to have a considerable effect on curbing crime rates in Gotham.
Wonder Woman is one of the most experienced and intelligent heroes throughout all of DC, and as a warrior, she knows that not all situations can be resolved with battles.
In 2005, the DC Animated Universe was reaching the end of its thirteen years of producing animated series. This brand included some of the best the genre had to offer, including the still beloved Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock and Justice League Unlimited. DC animated series ruled over the genre, less in competition than in mutual immortality with its few peers.
Saving Flash and their reaction to his loss shows how deep the bonds between these seven members go. The creators did a great job foreshadowing this event back in the original Justice League when the Flash's death sparked the creation of the Justice Lords, illustrating his value as a founding member and how he helps hold the group together.
The four-part season two finale of Justice League Unlimited, consisting of Question Authority, Flashpoint, Panic in the Sky and Divided We Fall, does the best to tackle the subject matter of the Cadmus arc thematically, while serving as a wide-scoped, explosive climax that pays off the character arcs of numerous characters and offers just as many of them time to shine.
I was never a comic book or super hero fan growing up, but this series really made me appreciate the genre. Even though I had no idea who half the characters were, I watched it religiously. It's a shame CN decided to screw their DC Nation block. Keeping Young Justice, Green Lantern TAS and bringing JLU back would have been incredible. This theme is so epic. I wish it were longer.
Justice League Unlimited delivers some of the best spectacle that the DC Animated Universe ever saw, and some wonderful character work that many see as a kind of pinnacle for these characters, regardless of the medium.
The Cadmus arc is the strongest and most ambitious narrative in the DC Animated Universe that explores the nature of superheroes, raises questions about freedom versus security, and presents villains who do not see themselves as such.
Destroyer is an incredible series finale to the DC Animated Universe and many of the standalone episodes throughout the thirteen episode run of Justice League Unlimited are equally enjoyable.
With stunning animation, thrilling battles and iconic superhero characters, Justice League Unlimited holds loyal fans of all ages. Even while it was still airing, there was no doubt that this incredible series would continue to span generations.
Justice League Unlimited Initiation is an outstanding season premiere that effectively introduces the new premise, introduces Green Arrow and Captain Atom, and reintroduces Supergirl, and establishes the new status quo, and For the Man Who Has Everything is one of the most emotional episodes in the DC Animated Universe. Fearful Symmetry, Ultimatum and Dark Heart do a great job kickstarting the Cadmus arc. This Little Piggy and the Greatest Story Never Told are excellent showcases for Zatanna and Booster Gold at the same time, and the Once and Future Thing is an enjoyable close to the season that subverts expectations by becoming a pseudo crossover with Batman Beyond.
Destroyer is a strong example of using a well examined character in a new way as the final episode of Justice League Unlimited. Lex Luthor was one of the longest running and most compelling versions of the DC Animated Universe. Seeing a moment of heroism from the villain before he inevitably turned back to villainy made for fresh and compelling animated television.
The few episodes of the Justice League Unlimited Season 2 not to involve Cadmus are nearly all spectacular. The Cat and the Canary is a great introduction to Wildcat that invests viewers in the fresh romance between Green Arrow and Black Canary, Double Date follows up on the two becoming a couple and pairs them against the Question and the Huntress, and the Ties that Bind is a perfect introduction for new fans to Mister Miracle and Big Barda.
Justice League Unlimited earned critical acclaim for its well-placed episodes, visually pleasing aesthetic, and the raw emotions seen in the character's eyes.
First, it starts subtle, than you have grandious tunes... then a choir-like sound comes and bang, guitar screaming to you that heroes are ready for the action, to save the day! Damn, was this show awesome.
Justice League Unlimited showcases a blend of seamless world-building, stunning animation and heartrending stories for some of the best all-around television experiences.
Superman represents the pinnacle of teamwork in the DC Universe and is the symbol of the Justice League itself, typically working as its leader. While Batman does his best work alone, Superman is being the hero who seeks out friends and allies to work with.
A character like Superman, who has such bombastic powers, adversaries and adventures, benefits from the dynamism of animation, and his many animated renditions throughout the years prove it.
The enthralling adventures that Justice League Unlimited takes the heroes of the Justice League on is a reminder of why they are superhero legends for a reason.
This show intoduced to me the more sinister side of superheroes, there power is overwhelming and everyone's just lucky Kal'el landed on the kent farm, the justice lords were a fine example of how quickly and how steep of a slope it is from superhero to villian
I knew something was badly wrong with the Justice Lords’ version of Earth when frigging Batman said “Well, it had to be done” in response to Superman killing Luthor. BATMAN.
Justice League Unlimited continues to stand the test of time, being widely regarded as one of the greatest animated series ever. The enjoyable show dives into the lives of the iconic superhero team as they fight incredible battles and attempt to live their somewhat ordinary lives.
The human members of the Green Lantern Corps are some of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe. Their rings enable them to do just about anything they can imagine, such as creating hard-light constructs, translating alien languages, and traveling across the galaxy at amazing speeds.
Tim Daly and George Newbern absolutely nailed the role as this variant of Superman, defining their voices while still making the character sound like one consistent person. This Superman helped usher an entire generation of fans into loving DC Comics and superheroes in general, and his importance in pop culture cannot be denied.
Came here after watching Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3. Seeing the DCAU erased by the Anti-Monitor and the last voice of Kevin Conroy fighting the good fight against evil as Batman. Justice League Unlimited Forever
After two seasons of the Justice League animated series, the roster of the team was expanded and the show became Justice League Unlimited. As the name implied, the new team consisted of an absurd amount of DC characters. This was a stark contrast to the Justice League animated series, which focused primarily on seven core heroes.
As a defender of justice and powerful enemy against those who look down on others, Wonder Woman reminds Ares and the audience how she will never give up on those that need her. Her determination and the ability to see the good in all humans shines through this one moment, never give up on people, no matter who they may be.
Justice League Unlimited is a testament to the work of writers, animators, directors and producers that 20 years and many other shared canons later, the DC Animated Universe still stands out.
Superman: A head start? You're getting soft in your old age. Batman: Don't you have a tall building to go leap? Wonder Woman: And the adventure continues.
Justice League Unlimited boldly embraced DC's notoriously complicated lore, delivering some of the best and most original takes on many classic characters and cementing its place as an animated masterpiece and the best DC effort on the small screen.
Justice League Unlimited highlights what is valued about this animated spectacle because there is less of a need to spend millions on a live-action franchise when creatives can achieve the same story effect through serviceable if not groundbreaking animation.
Unlimited's biggest strength was how many less known/unknown DC characters they put in the story and made it work so well. Characters like the Question or Vigilante or Shining Knight had a spotlight.

It's a shame CN decided to screw their DC Nation block. Keeping Young Justice, Green Lantern TAS and bringing JLU back would have been incredible.
This theme is so epic. I wish it were longer.
i think JLU is a myth to people and no one wants to ruin it I personally think YJ is a successor to JLU
Justice League Unlimited delivers some of the best spectacle that the DC Animated Universe ever saw, and some wonderful character work that many see as a kind of pinnacle for these characters, regardless of the medium.
Justice League Unlimited was backed by great soundtracks, talented voice actors and moving storylines.
You're Damn right pal
The Cadmus arc is the strongest and most ambitious narrative in the DC Animated Universe that explores the nature of superheroes, raises questions about freedom versus security, and presents villains who do not see themselves as such.
Let’s be honest even marvel fans love these animated series
While I AM a Marvel fan I enjoy the DC animated TV series/movies.
As a marvel fan I enjoy dc animated shows a bit more
i remember this show...awww the childhood memories...i missed this show so much
Destroyer is an incredible series finale to the DC Animated Universe and many of the standalone episodes throughout the thirteen episode run of Justice League Unlimited are equally enjoyable.
With stunning animation, thrilling battles and iconic superhero characters, Justice League Unlimited holds loyal fans of all ages. Even while it was still airing, there was no doubt that this incredible series would continue to span generations.
Justice League Unlimited
Initiation is an outstanding season premiere that effectively introduces the new premise, introduces Green Arrow and Captain Atom, and reintroduces Supergirl, and establishes the new status quo, and For the Man Who Has Everything is one of the most emotional episodes in the DC Animated Universe.
The Justice League has saved the day multiple times and they have helped define what it means to be heroes.
That part at about the 30 second mark where the high-pitched guitars kick in gives me serious goosebumps
This will forever be my favorite, only, and true Justice League!!!
Justice League Unlimited experiments with some truly amazing episodes that plays to the strength of that scope regularly.
A character like Superman, who has such bombastic powers, adversaries and adventures, benefits from the dynamism of animation, and his many animated renditions throughout the years prove it.
this is what happens when a show doesn't forget it's side-characters.
Justice League Unlimited concludes multiple character arcs and storylines with satisfying resolutions.
Justice League Unlimited was the perfect example of how well a shared universe could work.
The enthralling adventures that Justice League Unlimited takes the heroes of the Justice League on is a reminder of why they are superhero legends for a reason.
Such an extensive roster on Justice League Unlimited was exciting for fans and built hope for each new episode.
Most powerful theme I've ever heard
This show intoduced to me the more sinister side of superheroes, there power is overwhelming and everyone's just lucky Kal'el landed on the kent farm, the justice lords were a fine example of how quickly and how steep of a slope it is from superhero to villian
The Justice Lords is basically the animated version of the Injustice comics but more light hearted for the kids sake.
@@victuz funny cause it was made before injustice while still showing the heavy moral questions of injustice.
The Justice League has some amazing adventures over the years, with the villains the team faces playing a key role.
Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Justice League Unlimited.
Think it’s time the dc animated universe have itself a n X-men 97 style rebirth.
This is what I hope the DC Extended Universe will do, expand the universe with all these amazing superheroes like this show!
***** True. But I still hope he makes it good. I am trusting him because I am a die hard DC fan.
+Yeet There's a difference between recreating some comic imagery and actually respecting the source material.
Justice League Unlimited boldly embraced DC's notoriously complicated lore, delivering some of the best and most original takes on many classic characters and cementing its place as an animated masterpiece and the best DC effort on the small screen.
Kevin Conroy knows exactly how to deliver these thoughtful and funny moments as natural growth rather than odd asides in Justice League Unlimited.
Justice League Unlimited highlights what is valued about this animated spectacle because there is less of a need to spend millions on a live-action franchise when creatives can achieve the same story effect through serviceable if not groundbreaking animation.
This show and Scooby Doo were my top favorite shows growing up.
Thank you The World of Superheroes for making our childhood and inspiring all of us. To beautiful and nostalgic❤
The single episode format works perfectly for Justice League Unlimited, which spotlights various heroes and every episode of the series is a treat.
