I agree, it’s been years since I’ve seen the 3rd Cinderella. But I distinctly remember the story got me hooked! And it was the first movie I remember watching that has a redemption arc for a villain.
Pocahontas II was a bop also LOL Its just clear it didn't have the budget of the original. But then again its not hard to be better than the original Pocahontas lmao@@busdriverguy
@@jamesa.romano8500 I'll have to watch that one, I dont remember it. I remember Tarzan 2 was really good but Tarzan never had a proper sequel. Tarzan and Jane was terrible lmao
Great sequels are made when someone cares about a story and wants to continue it. Bad sequels are made when someone doesn't care about what they're making. All sequels are supposed to make money, but it's always a toss up as to whether you'll get a real story or a vapid, forgettable cash-grab. Good video :)
Like DreamWorks in particular. Their sequels are amazing and really well thought. The HTTYD trilogy is perfect. Shrek 2 is an almighty gift, Shrek 4 was really good, Puss in Boots 2 is my favorite kind of sequel, Croods 2 was really good as a sequel, and the KFP trilogy is on the same standards for HTTYD. Trolls 2 was ok as a sequel. And Boss Baby 2 was awful. Same thing for Shrek 3 which is dumpster fire.
when i watched this video, i was expecting to see at least a couple thousand subscribers beneath your name just from the quality alone. only 50??? thats insane. you deserve more subscribers for the level of thought that was clearly put behind this. for what its worth, youve earned yourself another sub, my man.
Doing a similar plot with a different story or being very different in tone aren’t bad things for sequels. They just need them to be natural continuations of the original regardless of all that.
Great video, I hope you get the amount of subscribers you deserve soon! :D A recommendation: whenever theres no clip sound playing, you should look into lil background music to throw in there :O All I gotta say about it, the video itself was awesoe ^^
Of course the little mermaid 2 was a little rough around the edges but I’d like to give Melody and the other new characters another chance. 4:35 my thoughts exactly
@@babygiraffe53 yeah in 2010 the original plan was a student and master trilogy to take it to 6 films and the 7th been a finale film for the franchise no clue if that's still the plan but jack black is down for as many as they want him to do
Studios like DreamWorks and too an extent, Pixar can make sequels that feel like an expansion to the story rather than feeling like a cash grab. People need to understand this more
@@babygiraffe53 I feel like it’s a fitting sequel. Sure the internet thing is a stretch but the emotional side of it is great with Velenpope (you spelt her name wrong and I’m not sure I am either) leaving to find her own life is beautiful and can be explained away with the video game side of things as Venelope finally being patched out of sugar rush.
@@torterratortellini6641 I don't have a problem with the idea for the movie. It's the way they make Ralph act toured Vanellope (and vice versa) is so different from how their characters were in the first one.
Ok but, Cinderella 3 has its own charm and I wish the other sequels carried that energy. It is nicer when they care.

I prefer the second one.

Thanks, that means a lot!
I spent about 24hr editing this one🙃
Sequels can be phenomenal in their own right with the right talent and want to tell further stories.

that puss in boots recommendation on the deathbed might be me ngl. W vid!!
We’re doing a sequel, that’s what they do in Hollywood and everybody knows that the sequel is rarely just as good.
Bro just blatantly admitted he hasn't seen Shrek 2 💀
@LOAKASH I will watch it when I hit 1,000 subscribers.
How about 10K views of this video?

Can we also note they intend to do 8? (Possibly 7) Kung Fu Panda films
No way!? Are you serious?!

How do you only have 62 subs
You’ve never seen shrek 2? You’re missing out man! Anyways great video, I’m hoping for more original ideas…
I’ve been waiting to watch Shrek for when I hit 100 subs and Shrek 2 for if I ever hit 1,000.

I urge you to watch Shrek 2 now, it's just as good as the first, maybe even better!
That’s what I’ve been told!
Ever heard about the lego movie 2? The first one was so unspeakable good then there was the second one...
Toy Story 2 + 3 grest sequels that are better than Toy Story 1 but then Toy Story 4 had to ruin everything
Why do people hate Ralph breaks the internet?
Because they story is horrible! They screw up Penelope and Ralph’s characters so bad!
