She is absolutely one of the best organist I have ever heard. I thank God for her! This is a lost art! It is an art too few can master the KING OF INSTRUMENTS! If YOU WANT THE HOLY SPIRIT TO COME, play the Organ!!!
She touches me with her organ playing, because she is so touched and inspired by the organ sound and the desire to give the best god what she has. „All what can breath, may praise the Lord!“ the most people do it with their voices and mouths and hearts, Diane do it with her hands and her heart.
I love organ music. And I love Diane Bish ! I burst out laughing at the end of her concert. "Is that loud enough for you?" First Lady of the Pipe Organ!
Thanks Diane, you have inspired me since I saw you on Vision T.V back in 1987 at the age 12, I owe my gift of music to the Lord himself and thank him each day and his blessings to allow me to journey sharing the music of the Organ with others. :)
I love Diane Bish and her knowledge of the beginning of this incredible instrument! She commentated on the beginning to the present on organs world wide! Help me find her presentation -- was awesome!
I like the "Is that loud enough for you?" question, too. *Shame that it took me fifteen years to get used to the volume of the organ.* I could have switched from piano to organ much sooner (as soon as I was tall enough to reach the pedals!) but my ears couldn't handle the volume of the organ. *Shame on me! The organ beats the piano to a frazzle*
I am an enthusiastic amateur organist, since 1988. I enjoyed this video. You play beautifully. Are there any videos of you playing I Sing The Almighty Power of God? (Tune: FOREST GREEN, arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams) Forest Green is the best melody ever composed.
MS Bish...Have loved JS Bach ever since I first heard his music...and you do a good job playing some of his works...but...as I have said before...a bit too fast...otherwise, love your "Joy of Music" videos...first saw you on TV on Sundays. I do so agree with your comments about the "Spirit of Music" - the feel, the sound, the expression , the love and joy of it...(have played the organ too...but not in years -life got in the way. Before that I was a choirboy (Episcopal), then in Concert Choirs, then Barbershop styles too...LOVE GOOD MUSIC, particularly the baroque style on the pipe Organ...particularly, Bach, Handel, Albinoni, and a few more. Learned that too, but haven't played in years...as I said, LIVE and LVING got in the way. (first deceased wife was mentally ill had to learn and deal with THAT. And now my voice is gone (I'm an Octogenarian)...can still listen though...
One of my favorite organists that devotes her music for the Lord's always-deserved glory.

At first I was put off by her style of performance but seeing her talk about herself I see she has integrity and is sincere.
I LOVE Ms. Diane Bish
Such an inspiration.
I just love this lady
An enriching view of the music ministry from the First Lady of the Organ> thank you for sharing.

McDouglas Kim, as loud as the 32' Contre Bombarde.

The joy of music should visit the Philippines where she could found the bamboo organ. 😀

I can't believe diane bish is still alive
She was born in 1941. Life expectancy rate in the US is way above 70. You should be surprised if she didn't reach 65.
She’s 79
What is Lyft pink?
She resembles in appearance, speech and mannerisms the late, wonderful Margaret Hamilton.
I would agree with this, good sir!
I would consider Marie Claire Alain the First Lady of the Organ. With all due respect to Diane Bish, Alain was one of her teachers.
