That's a mammoth size buck with a kill shot at 180 yd which is most impressive by any standards! Obviously that rifle has great accuracy with a well-placed shot at that distance.
I shot my biggest deer this morning, it's a 10 pt, the biggest deer taken off our property. I used my Marlin 336 stainless in 30-30.
I would be more excited about this video if I could find 30-30 ammo. Great shot though

Great Video Cody I really enjoyed the Hunt.Glad you said you used the Hammerdown ammo thats what I bought for my Henry Case Hardened 44.Cant wait to see how it performs in my Henry 44 hopefully this year.I just turned 64 and when I was 18 started using a borrowed Winchester Bicentennial 30/30 and for 4 years got my limit of 2 deer every year here in Virginia.We did not have a big selection of Brands to use so I shot the Winchester Silvertips.So happy that Henry is making the best Lever Actions today in a Variety of Calibers.The Lever Action is more popular now than years ago and thats awesome to see.

that's a great buck in anyone's woods. Congrats on a fine shot too. Stretching the limits for a 30-30 but the results speak for themselves. 30-30 is probably the most underrated cartridge on the market today. Again, good shooting and an awesome buck.

i have all 3 , winchester , marlin , and Henry all are great quality , no three stands out more than the other ! all will kill with basically the same accuracy. love the sales promo . keep hunting the 30 30 will take the biggest whitetail that ever walked the planet ! grest vid ! keep em coming!
That was awesome. My Henry is H101. They don’t run when 45-70 hits them lol. My gun is the best gun I ever own. I live in WVa and it thick brush. So many times I not get my kill from bullet deflection from brush. It’s not a problem anymore!
45-70 is a great gun. My Kansas buck last year actually took two 45-70 shots right behind the shoulder. Amazing how tough they can be!
@@HenryUSA was ammo hard cast, jacketed hollow point... etc? Yes they can be tough. Adrenaline is a hell of a chemical😜

@@HenryUSA if anyone of your team want a hunt in West Virginia contact me. I have 97 acres that has been in family 125 years. Past 50 yrs it been a wildlife reserve. Past 20 yrs only I have hunted it. There is monster bucks, black bear, turkey, bobcat. Elf, wolf. Coyote, Mountain lion. Few mule deer add ins past 20 yrs which has caused some beautiful non-typical bucks in the herds. It is monitored by DNR officers. But I have the golden tickets to access it with hunting privileges. I don’t extend offers to public to hunt but the Henry team would be welcome anytime. Well and you must purchase valid state hunting license. I can provide the permit. I have been offered up to $2000 for 1 years permit but I don’t accept it. I truly value as my grandfather started giving wildlife a sanctuary. But in that the deer, turkey, squirrel is the only ones I allow to be hunted. And the deer will be selected mostly the older bucks. So new younger bucks can start leading. There is trails for ATV or horse. Maybe for exchange I get some Henry equipment 😎. It more to me than gold.

Here in South Carolina the 30-30 is a go to weapon. Most of my hunting is down in river bottoms where shots are mostly inside of 100 yds. I've taken a nice doe and a 4 point this year using the Hornady Levorevolution ammunition. Great video Cody

I now have this exact rifle on layaway!! Its a beautiful rifle and I love the quality. I think I am hooked on Henry now for sure. I'll use my Henry .45 colt Brass Big Boy for practice and plinking and assure harvest of deer with the 30-30. The quality of Henry rifles are showpieces.

Absolutely!
And sadly one of the most looked down on calibers. I've used a 30-30 all of my life (I'm 53) and I can tell you that it's one of the best calibers there is. Sure, I've got other calibers (.308, .270, 30-06) but every time I walk out the door and I know my shots are going to be under 150-175 yards, I have the 30-30 in my hands. I've killed countless deer/hogs with it. It doesn't play with them. It puts the smackdown on any deer/hog.
@@miked6644 I've owned two Marlins 336 is in 3030 they're extremely accurate guns seems everybody wants to underestimate there range a few years back Nikon made a scope for the 30-30 taking it out to 400 yards lot of the other guns you have to compensate for drop why not the 3030 it does a fantastic job on deer as long as you hit them good

Great shooting cody just love your videos wish we could hunt like that here in the uk, but its all private land and very difficult to get permission we even have tight gun laws here so getting a licence is difficult and a lengthy process i do hunt though but air rifle and shotgun

I have the Winchester 94 30-30, I wouldn’t shoot at anything over 80-100 yards., but with these Marlins 30-30 with a nice scope I just might take this shot too

nothing to do with this vid but Just got a steel 44 mag. but 1x4 scope on it and took it off and put red dot cause to heavy with the mount and 30mm scope I had. Bought this to be light. My single shot 350 is nice and light.

I shot a 10 point today with a winchester 30-30 I shot shoulder at 40-50 yards with iron sights and dropped it but it left no blood trail

I heard him say the same. The Federal Hammer down ammo was made in partnership with Henry for reliable feeding in their lever guns.
It's my understanding that HammerDown only is made in 150 gr.
The 303 is the best all round load.
