Excellent recap of what CLO3D does, potential creative and/or real life process applications and importance of focus on your area of strength and interest. Being patient was key for me. Thank you!
Sure you can play around in CLO with flat patterns, but the simulations are deceiving. I would suggest doing real patterns too even if it’s in half scale. That will help you understand fit and drape better.
realllly trying to get into patterning and learn how to take my patterns from 3d to real life to execute my ideas. thought it'd be easier since I've worked in blender-- but the numbers with patterning have always been the difficult part for me.
Love all your tutos .. very explicit thanks 🙏 I'm a designer and trainer at the same time in haute couture.. my only problem is how to start with the famous clo7.0 🔥basic level!! 🥴😁😍😅 ( I have a software) 🥰
CLO has a lot of great tutorial on their channel, I have some good videos 😉 and if you wanted a certificate, Parsons School of Design has a 4 level certificate program online. I developed level 3 in that program
I have a lot of videos on RUclips and teach an online certificate program at Parsons School of Design. I'll keep adding videos to RUclips and organize them in levels too.
In CLO3D you have a 2D window where you create all the patterns. You can also draw your patterns free form there. Other than that this is not the software for 2D models.
hello😀,Hello, how can I use Clo 3D to get a seamless panty? Because it is seamless and seamless, I don't know how to express it in the software, other sewing is very easy. Looking forward to your reply (Google translate 😅)
You can create a thermal tape as topstitching and use it on top of the seams to cover them. You would find a small jpg image of a tape that’s appropriate and bring it in as texture for custom topstitching. And then just use that topstitching on top of the seams.
Today i came across your bag making vedio. And its was super Good Really helpful ☺☺.. will you also please make a women footwear making tutorial?? Lots of Love from India ❤ Namaste 🙏🙏
Thank you for your comment! One big takeaway from this video is that you need to know and understand pattern making, draping and sewing in real life in order to create real garments and accessories in CLO3D.
It was really difficult the first couple of years but now I'm finding such niche ways of doing things I'm not even sure other people have done it
Excellent! I’m glad it’s working well for you! 💫

Hi! any thoughts on learning patternmaking from scratch with Clo3D?
Sure you can play around in CLO with flat patterns, but the simulations are deceiving. I would suggest doing real patterns too even if it’s in half scale. That will help you understand fit and drape better.
I just came across your videos--SOOO GOOD!!!! Will you come out with a sneaker shoe making tutorial?
Thank you for the suggestion! I am starting a new round of accessory design videos so yes I'll try to develop one for sneakers too. 😊
Thanks!!
🌷thank you for watching!

I hear you!! It’s never easy transitioning to a new system or software. You can do it!!
Can I ask who taught you how to use the programme?
I was trained by CLO3D reps, so I can teach the software at Parsons School of Design in NYC.
Nice and encouraging video. Thanks!
I am glad it helped you!! Thank you for watching!

Love your recap! ♥ where/how is it possible to learn it? do you offer online courses? :)

Is it possible to add clothing and ideas to a 2d model?
In CLO3D you have a 2D window where you create all the patterns. You can also draw your patterns free form there. Other than that this is not the software for 2D models.
Hi, loved the video! How did you find out Yuejia Du's work? I've been looking for it for reference in 3D work and I can't find it
She was a student of mine at Parsons School of Design. That’s how I have her work!
Ooooooh, ok, I see. Thanks anyway!

I would like to learn Close.
It really is a great program to learn and use!

Thank you! 💕
Hi there, what kind of computer are you using for clo3d?
I’m using a iMac (Apple desktop) but you’re better off with a PC)

I am a pattern maker. l want to learn clo3d
It was helpful
My problem is that i don’t know so perfectly about making patterns ! 😔
Yes that can be a problem, but make it your goal to learn more about patterns and improve!
WELL SAID!!... ;)
Thank you!!
I was hoping to find some tricks or advise but it's just the classic "do what you feel more like".
Good video tho but not helpful at all
