oh my god Ms.Robbin, Thank you for this very easy to understand video! straight forward. I took a break after the semester and after watching this video - Im ready for some more CLO! 😍 I gotta try !
Thanks for the great video. I have a question watching it though, can you draw only fitted line/pattern from the body ?? If I want to drape a loose or boxy pattern that's away from the body, What should you do ??? Anybody..? Thanks !
hi there, no you cannot draw a boxy pattern away from the body with the 3D pen for avatar. It only draws on the body of the avatar. For boxy shapes you have to work in the 2D window and edit the actual patterns. In CLO3D you create real patterns you can print and pattern-making knowledge really helps! You can also wrk with the 3D pen (garment) to edit existing garment in the 3D window!
thank you for the tutorial, everything I needed to begin this journey,,,, however I got the flatten tool and something popped up saying,,,, failed to flatten some patterns,,,, any help please?
@@BobbinTalk can you only use this pattern making method of the lines are on the body? Im trying to make a dress, but it won't let me put a point in open space between the legs.
What do we do if the pen tool is not functioning like in your video? I have an Avatar (have tried using an FBX and an OBJ) and I can't get the pen tool to work on the avatar... i've looked at several videos, but can't figure out why I am unable to draw directly on an avatar
Hi, thank you for the video!! can you help me? when i draw the lines and finish, appear this message ''Lines created with the line tool cannot cross''. What i'm doing wrong?
I’d have to try and recreate this issue to answer the question. Please make sure you’re closing each pattern piece instead of just criss crossing the lines and see if that helps. Let me know what happens.
13:21, pressing (ctrl+A) can select all the pieces to, in windows. in Mac is (Option +A)
This was perfect! No information overload, just what you need to know to use the pen. Thank you!!!

@@OohlalaHolly Correct, this is only for placing lines on the body!
Hello I came across your video and I wanted asking if using a Wacom tablet will be more convenient with clo 3d
Thanks for the video. I have a question. show avatar and 3d pen on. But I cannot draw on the model. What did I do wrong?
Are you in 3D Pen for Avatar or 3D pen for Garment? There are two different pens. Make sure you're in 3D Pen Avatar.

Make sure you’re using Pen for AVATAR not the other tool
the pen do not show a dot at the avatar, Can someone help how to activate it?
help. I cant find the flatten icon
You might have tools collapsed and multiple tools are nested under one. Click and hold to expand and see all the tools under each one.
