I really enjoyed GB4 and it was a good start way to brimg back Gundam Breaker. I had some mixed feelings about it as well but i hope it will be a launching off point to bring more breaker games with plenty more kits and more things to do
For my first ever gunpla game, I really was pleasantly surprised. I like many starving Gundam fans wish we got more lore accurate and cool PS2-esque games like the GOAT (imo) Zeonic Front. Gundam Breakers 4 though was really cool though, and I can truly say that I enjoyed my 40-50 hours of gameplay
Exactly this i would love some Gundam games in different genres like the old days, it's neat we have a good Breaker game, VS and average SD games but they don't hit the same
I LOVE GB4 but it still seems like GB2 and 3 had a lot more mission variety and more boss variety like in BG2 you fight the mobile armor from F91 (I think it was GB2 ) , GB3 had a lot of mission locations , now it could be after beating the game of the harder difficulties you unlock more missions like in GB3 or it'll be added later on in dlc. The customization is top notch along with even more MS to choose from . I would LOVE to see a GB game with all the missions from previous titles including the bosses and need to see more of the stranger MS like in Victory gundam and many more .
As my first breaker game, i really like this game. Yeah, it's repetitive and there's still some minus here and there, like the builder parts snapping to it's original size and location everytime we use it, the funnel kinda lacking in damage, etc, but it's still a fun game, you can just jump in, play a few mission, customize your dream gunpla and call it a day. Heck, i spend my time on this game just trying to create my dream gunpla, not necessarily playable with good skill, just focusing on the look and i'm satisfied with it. But yeah, i hope we can get another "serious" and interesting gundam game after this and for this game, i hope they will fix and rebalance some of the problem
I really like your style of dissecting each part down and snoothness of how you speak. Looking forward to more videos man and always awesome to meet a fellow G Gundam fan.
Right. Thank you for the review and glad to see that you enjoy playing GB4. One thing that I do realize that you haven't played GB3... and probably fortunately avoided NGB. I've played GB3 enough to somewhat complaint and praised enough things that are within GB4. When it comes to GB4's story, sadly I would even agreed that it wasn't the best I've experience. It is definitely meh, but better than NGB's dating sim setting. But then again, GB 4 story didn't do much for me. If any, GB3 for me is better storywise when it comes to global releases (Except GB3 is Asia release so English Release). Although, they do add some fanservice in the form of returning characters. Heck, surprised that my Buddy Misa (GB3 partner) returns with her Battlogue unit. I also had to add the combat gameplay in GB4 have some improvements, but also removes some good things from GB3. For example, GB3 allows you to multi click certain weapons that are similar in function and design to your main weapons. To better explain, You can spam the beam sword or twin beam gun you have to do a regular combo. In GB4, you only use it once for once or hold for power attack. For your MG, RG and HG argument, sadly since HG and RG are quite similar in how it looks. Additionally, even in GB3 they have MG. Although, I forgot how it improves the gameplay. Either way, I would recommend to anyone who wants to play not just for the story or combat gamplay, but for its gunpla customization. I was able to rebuild my old gunplay from GB3 and even decided to rebuild a fresh one exclusive for GB4. With the addition of the DIorama mode, it would elevate your passion in the art of Gunpla.
I always wanted a good gunpla build game. I absolutely loved the mobile game for this customization but, it didn’t have combat and it got shutdown. This is everything great about that game and another great game on top of that
Do you plan on doing a video on Gundam Code Fairy? It's a fun game that basically took Gundam Battle Operation 2 and made a campaign mode of it and enhanced the speed of all MS since the multiplayer only game was very slow IMO (i also recommend it because the deluxe edition is almost always on sale, right know it is)
As a big fan of the series, I have to say, I'm glad 4 exists and I enjoy myself whenever I play it, but I can't help but feel some frustration. The customization is the best its ever been, but the gameplay still doesn't match up to 3. The lack of weapon type ex skills that unlock just through use and lack of mission variety is a major blow. Also severely lacking in stages. I actually got sick of seeing the exact same stages over and over before finishing my first run (hell I was sick of 'em halfway through. took way too long to see something new). And while the 2 melee system is cool, I also found myself using 2 handed weapons more often because it just felt better. That may be a personal thing (i'm a sucker for greatswords), but it felt better than having 2 weapons that, for the most part, did the same thing as eachother anyway. Also don't care for the cooldowns on melee OP skills Again though, I think its a good game and I'm glad the series is back and in a more widely accessible way so new fans can check it out. If there's ever a breaker 5, lets hope they make some much needed improvements to the missions and skills and tweak the combat just a little. And bring back the "hold [button] to load previously cleared mission" feature from 3. Also please please buff shining finger, it feels like crap to use in this game. And lower the invincibility time enemies have.
GB4 has been met with lots of praise and admiration from the Gundam fandom, Gunpla community, and as well as fans of the Gundam Breaker series. Although, it definitely has a few things that weren't carried over from GB3 (like no more weapon skills/special moves) and some other issues, BUT overall it's a Solid good game. But I'm sure people would still prefer a new Gundam Dynasty Warriors game, or a more serious-toned Gundam game that's more focused on actual story telling, which is honestly understandable. I think Bandai should take a step back from the whole Gundam meta verse for a bit, and should try making a game based solely on a single series, like The Witch from Mercury, Universal Century, or even Iron Blooded Orphans.
this would be hard to do since gundam fans' are kinda spread out there are some who loves gundam no matter the serie/timeline then there's ppl who only loves certain timeline/serie heck, even one of my friend literally only loves SD series if they want to maximize profit, then focusing on a certain theme that can gather all these serie/timeline is usually the answer, like Metaverse, Breaker, Musou, Versus, SD G Generation, etc.
I absolutely enjoyed GB4, my only experience with the Breaker series was only with Gundam Breaker Mobile and I quite enjoyed the hell out of it so it was so much better to be able to play a mainline Breaker game also managing to recreate my old custom gunplas from Mobile was real nice, really had no issues with the game and just had a blast all the into post-game also nice was able to play the game with friends and been rather amusing seeing the reactions of my SD Guntank with humongous Backpacks of different varieties, cant wait for the DLCs for the game Ive seen some leaks of the kits coming in the DLCs and was quite surprised with some of the choices and I cant wait to see them in action.
my biggest gripe in this game is that they kinda cut corner with some of the unit's animation like them SD Gundam had the MOST flair and cool looking skill animations Unicorn also has fairly lore-accurate moves, AGE-FX's FX Burst and C Funnel animation, etc then we get to them G Gundam I mean, Choukyuu Haoh and Bakunetsu Burning Slash is good, I love them But the SEKIHA TENKYOKEN WHY IS IT ONLY A SMALL BEAM LAZOR CAME OUT OF THE HAND WHY NOT MAKING IT A GIGANTIC FLYING BULLET THAT EXPLODE WHEN HIT, LIKE THE ACTUAL SKILLS also WHERE'S MY AMERICAN BOXER GUNDAM AAAAAAAARGH
I’m starved for good gundam games. I just can’t get into Gundam games that feature “multiverse” plots. Battle Alliance, Super Robot Wars, Musou, that overwatch clone, or any of the Gunpla games… really …. REALLY bore me. Even extreme VS doesn’t do it for me. Just want some old school, lore accurate, story based games like we got on the PS2.
@@volkskrieg8735they released a Side Story compilation on the PS4, IIRC, but it didn’t actually remaster the games. It took the plots of games like The Blue Destiny and Zeonic Front and applied them to a third person action game formula.
i think GB 4 has a biggg potential, the devs spend a lot of time making that diorama right? now imagine if somehow we can also make custom campaign lol. the community can easily re-create UC series
GB3 is better overall but the customization alone oh my...If GB 3 is an 8/10 in customization, GB 4 is 10/10. The story is meh but the fun factor is 11/10 for me. This is coming from someone who loves mechs, especially Gundam and Armored Core (this ain't like AC btw).
There’s a potentially 10/10 gunpla experience in there but since Bandai knows it’ll sell, we get repetitive combat and limited scenarios. For me, who never got to play GB3, I would describe this game as both a dream come true but also what I’d describe as the “greatest mobile game ever.” That is to say, it’s addictive and full of meaningful features with nothing locked behind a paywall. That said, it’s all pretty shallow at the end of the day. My hope is that they do a lot with it post-launch. Though I will say, it does take on its own life once the player understands juggling and canceling. It can be fun to find nigh-endless combos that maximize ever weapon on loop… but that’s not a serious Gundam game… especially with the game’s “feel.”
They used to make MG parts better than HG parts in GB3. I'm glad they did away with it. That said, a scaled up HG part to 300 won't be as large as the same MG part scaled up to 300. MG parts are how you can turn your gunpla into basically a MA.
What's vaguely irritating is that there used to be a difference between HG and MG. In Gundam Breaker 3, the MG parts had higher base stats, incentivizing farming them. The lack of part scaling meant that you were also incentivized to farm even more if you wanted to copy your favorite HG builds in MG form. Part scaling was a good idea, but removing the stat difference between HG and MG really wasn't. Also, the reason why RG isn't represented... is because of what RG actually is in real life. Basically, MG levels of detail and build complexity in an HG sized package, with a price point comfortably between HG and MG. Considering the fact that the ingame MG parts are literally just the HG models scaled up, there's no real point.
Plus sticking a Zaku head on the Zeta Plus sticking a Gundam head on the Kshatriya (Bonus for MG scaling ) Plus Customization in general Negative everything else....Idk it just all feels wrong to me.....I mean seriously why are the gundam games the only games I've EVER played that don't use my graphics card by default......I mean having to manually tell the game not to use 100% of my CPU is a unique quirk for sure. RG Zeta DLC being broken by default would be peak meta-humour.
I will just say that at the VERY least, we have a dub for a gundam game that is marketed at full price, even if the combat is a bit repetitive, the story is really nothing special(Which is a shame because I heard the second has an awesome story) and that there are still no Real Grades. Though I would think that is most likely because Real Grade is smaller in number to the massive amount of High Grades that are out but other then that, I have no clue. I would still say it is worth a buy since we haven't had a good Gundam game in ages and since I own GB3, I can't say no to another game that I can easily buy. That said, we need a new Dynasty Warriors Gundam pronto!
Review SD Gundam Gashapon Wars for the Gamecube/Wii. It's a turn based strategy gundam game, but the combat is like power stone. You collect mobile suits from UC and Seed timelines, and there's a ton to do. Top 5 gundam game that nobody has played. If you can, try the Wii version. It's the same game, with a hint of extra content.
This was my first gundam game and i loved it but yeah it is rather lacking in dificulty mission varity bosses stages and survival needs a huge overhaul
I like it but it feels pretty hollow once you pass the story and get all the quests, it seems like theyre going to do regular updates and kit and dlcs but so far nothing has been announced since the release. I really do enjoy customizations at least. I really am curious what you think about this game compared to the previous one you reviewed, musashi
@@renneperez6564 I prefer Musashi's gameplay by a large margin. Just has a better feel to it. While yes, you could argue it's repetitive in a similar manner... idk it just has a good feel. Combat just felt "oomphier". Musashi's shortcoming is its story. It's to much in the beginning. It's good imo, but it just takes way to long to get through dialogue at times. Would highly recommend it on sale though.
@JarboeGaming Thank you sir! I've been pretty interested in it since I saw your video. Loving your videos and I'm glad I found you and subscribed, please take care there
Good video, content is good. One suggestion - the music is a bit distracting. I like the songs you chose, I think the volume could be turned down a bit so we can hear you better. 😊
ima be real, the games UI and graphics feel like a downgrade or atleast i was expecting more. The psvita versions were fun but the stories got worse with each release as the game turned away from a serious story and catered to that shonen style beyblade/bakugan/B-daman stereotype. The games saving grace for me is the photo mode. The gameplay is floaty and not gritty, very little impact that makes it feel weighted, and the animations are hella sad, some of the gundams unique parts dont move while using the attacks from it. Sorry to say if your paying 50$ for this its not worth it if youve ever played the previous ones or have access to them.
I played this game for a solid 45 hours in the week after it released but honestly after going through all the missions and quests once aswell as failing to do survivalmode (wave 40 something reached) I reached a sort of eh- point. I made some cool gunpla and love the customization, but the fact I dont have any new content to explore is keeping this game in stasis for me. I might occasionally go back on to do some missions in hopes of grinding all the parts to lv 50 that I use on my main build just so I can stand a chance at getting some achivements still, but otherwise I'm kinda already done, this game is super fun for a while and then becomes insanely stale
@@leon888111 Defo, if they add more special quests like the pacman one they have now that shake up the gameplay and maybe introduce some new modes that don't follow the same 3 wave structure its gonna be great
To be frank, I’m only a couple of missions in and I’m already kind of bored of the gameplay. It’s probably a me problem, but I just want to get it out of the way and unlock all the parts so I can just use the game as a kitbash planning tool. It’s definitely a way better game than Gundam Breaker Mobile was, but it still feels like a bit of a chore to get to the awesome kitbashing part of this game. Maybe I’ll like the systems more as I unlock more parts, since I do like me some Dynasty Warriors from time to time, but right now I just don’t feel myself craving the gameplay.
Speaking of recent gundam releases, I personally think that even SD Gundam Battle Alliance is more of a game than GB4, or even any GB in general I see GB series as like some sort of tool for irl gunpla builders to test the waters of what custom they want to build before doing it for real, that happens to have some gameplay elements to it
There is certainly something awesome about being able to build your own gunpla, without having to actually buy the kits to use the pieces IRL. However, I do believe that the gundam gaming side of things does need to spice it up and give us a true hardcore lore based story. Id love to see my gundam standing above me in the rain looking all bad ass and demonic, before i grab the line to pull me in.
Breaker series has been a hack and slash game but would be nice if we got something more mecha-like something like Armored core plus The game really leans for younger audience :
The customization is really the only reason to play, and im honestly surprised how few good gundam games there are considering bandai-namco has access to fromsoft to develop games... like battle operations 2 is fun, but multi-player isn't my thing, code fairy was great, but a bit short (i mean it wasn't full priced so fair, but still) last good games were on ps2
I'm a big fan of gunpla and have done plenty of kitbashing myself, but unfortunately the game has no real draw for me. I appreciate that everything is supposed to look like real gunpla but the appeal of mecha for me has always been verisimilitude and narrative. It's a shame that Sunrise only sees the gameplay potential of Gundam in multiverse stuff, but I do get it and hope that they at least use the profits for more animated stuff.
Its sad to say, theres gundam games i prefer playing on roblox that are pretty well made and more fun than AAA releases like this one. Im prejudice because of the current gaming industry, but considering the quality of games, and quality of content overall i believe my opinion is fair. Its pretty simple, all they need to do is make another Fed vs Zeon/gundam online game thats not filled with gacha P2W and people will probably like it. Basically every gundam game now is either a gacha game or a DLC hole(cough cough, SD gundam cough cough) Idk who it is making the big decisions in Bandai but they need to get their act together, you would think after GunEvo theyd get it, i guess not.
I feel gundam games need to step it up. At 60 bucks it shouldnt be so bare bones and low budget looking. When a game like AC6 exists, with better combat, pvp, and single player content, the only thing GB4 really brings is the gundam IP. I really want them to step it up.
It was fun kind of felt like db xenoverse with the gameplay but once i built a gundam i really liked i stopped playing felt like there wasnt much reward to keep playing
I like Gundam but i don't like the kits. It would be better if a Ps4 game had mini campaigns for each Gundam show. like a 10 hr campaign for OG gundam Rx 78 including char's counter attack, a 10 hr campaign for Zeta, a 10 hr campaign for wing including Endless Waltz and glory to the losers, G Gundam, Seed, ZZ, star Dust memory, 8th Team, Thunderbolt Unicorn, etc.
my only complaint is the lack of explor map that GB3 have. it make most map bland as hell. and the trade off that is Rank system is easy as F. the only time i ever get other rank is B(or A?) and only because i acidentally play on Hard Rank which out my LV Cap by 10. the story is even more of a mess than GB3 but it not painful cringe at least, just ridicurous
Is anyone surprised this game underdelivers? seems like everything Gundam related is underwhelming, be it the anime's being rushed or overly childish or both even. Be it the games almost always doing one thing okay or better but everything else around it being extremely dated/bad or the models where every interesting release is almost always a brand new mold that's P-bandai. The people at sunrise/Bandai don't believe in producing good quality content but rushing and throwing half thought ideas and plots together because Gundam fans are so desperate for anything halfway decent they'll rush to it. Hell I played Code Fairy and that game feels like it belongs on the PS2 and not in a good way with how dated a the menu, levels and plot were done. Even Gundam vs just was lacking, the raw gameplay was fun but if you don't have friends to play with the game's got 0 replay value. I just want a good well polished Gundam game with a good story, but at this point I know I won't get that from this IP. As a whole I'm disillusioned with Gundam, I don't even bother with new models anymore which has been my hobby for almost two decades.
They are trying so hard to make the story as good as build divers/fighters and not only failing, but making us think they can't write a good story. Shame honestly, i wish they just embraced being a funny game or go bonkers with serious gunpla, like build divers made on the one episode where it became SAO for no reason 😂
I am so envious my guy, I cannot afford that game sadly 😭 I won't spoil the story or anything. Some features for me are quite confusing but I'll try my best to understand them

Negative everything else....Idk it just all feels wrong to me.....I mean seriously why are the gundam games the only games I've EVER played that don't use my graphics card by default......I mean having to manually tell the game not to use 100% of my CPU is a unique quirk for sure.
Adding this to my list!
This was my first gundam game and i loved it but yeah it is rather lacking in dificulty mission varity bosses stages and survival needs a huge overhaul
God Gundam in thumbnail = Based

Loving your videos and I'm glad I found you and subscribed, please take care there
another gundam breaker game that doesnt have the regular/heavy arm geara zulu but atleast we got the zaku warrior from seed
Good video, content is good. One suggestion - the music is a bit distracting. I like the songs you chose, I think the volume could be turned down a bit so we can hear you better. 😊
@@AMarin221 Appreciate the feedback, music volume level is always something I go back and forth on.
You do realize Real Grade Kits are the same scale as High Grade Kits1:1/144 scale and The only difference is details and gimmicks
You do realise that wasn't what he meant?
ima be real, the games UI and graphics feel like a downgrade or atleast i was expecting more.
Thanks I’ll wait for. A few updates
@@leon888111 Defo, if they add more special quests like the pacman one they have now that shake up the gameplay and maybe introduce some new modes that don't follow the same 3 wave structure its gonna be great
Now im not sure which verison or the game to get, how much is unlockable or should i pay the wall and hurt my wallet
Is this game decent on mouse and keyboard or really just a controller game
@@RumblesBettr It's playable, but honestly it's intended for controller
@@JarboeGaming gotcha appreciate the feedback.
@@Brawler_1337 You're not alone. I was hoping this would have me hooked until Sparking Zero comes out, but that's not the case.
Speaking of recent gundam releases, I personally think that even SD Gundam Battle Alliance is more of a game than GB4, or even any GB in general
I see GB series as like some sort of tool for irl gunpla builders to test the waters of what custom they want to build before doing it for real, that happens to have some gameplay elements to it
There is certainly something awesome about being able to build your own gunpla, without having to actually buy the kits to use the pieces IRL.
Jarboe delivers yet again.
It was fun kind of felt like db xenoverse with the gameplay but once i built a gundam i really liked i stopped playing felt like there wasnt much reward to keep playing
This or megaton musashi w? What is the better product? I get the feeling jts megaton, but the mechs look kinda goofy to me idk hahah
I alt 4'd on this game because the enemies kept boosting backwards when i was beating them up. Really irritated me
They are trying so hard to make the story as good as build divers/fighters and not only failing, but making us think they can't write a good story. Shame honestly, i wish they just embraced being a funny game or go bonkers with serious gunpla, like build divers made on the one episode where it became SAO for no reason 😂
comment for the Algorithm
good video!
I'm sorry, but... Master Grade forever!
I am so envious my guy, I cannot afford that game sadly 😭 I won't spoil the story or anything. Some features for me are quite confusing but I'll try my best to understand them
good for build simulator, gameplay still okay.. the story pure garbage tho
This game is hot garbage. Bandai only produces garbage
