Hi! Nice to meet you yesterday. Just got a chance to start my morning by watching your video. It was fantastic! Love all the history and background you cover on the area where Kings peak is located and then so awesome that you hike to the highpoint too. Also, thought the just the facts section was a nice touch too.
Thanks! The shortcut is well enough traveled now that its not hard to pick it out going up the slope. Just got to warn everyone not to head into the boulder field once you get on the flat.
Congrats on getting this one out finally! Really enjoyed it. Did not know about James Buchanan's history with Utah and the Mormons. I haven't done Kings yet but hopefully in the next couple years I can make it out there.
Another good one! I did it as a one day 11h 20 min thing with a few mis-steps. Did not realize that the shortcut to the right will be a scramble with occasional markers. Worse than that, on the way down I did not stick to the ridge line but dropped down in hope of finding a trail and ultimately went straight down into the basin through a very, very unstable boulder field. Would not recommend that move at all. I did Borah the day before and that was lovely, but I was pretty beat up next morning after Kings.
That's a lot of work to put in for two days. When I can up the shortcut I actually headed into the boulder field and wasted time and energy getting through it. Glad you had a successful summit!
I really enjoyed this video and I learned a lot of new things. I want to go to Utah's highest point someday. That was a great video!!! Very Good!!!!

Nice to see the shortcut looking more established. Another great episode!

Incredible accomplishment! Was this your most challenging highpoint yet?
Thank you! Nevada still edges it out, but this was a bit of a slog.
Thanks!
Emily, thank very much for your generosity for the channel! I really appreciate your support.
Another great episode Skye! I always enjoy the footage of the trek and enjoy the lesson even more.

Another great video Skye. The trip up the mountain looks like a fun one!
It's an illusion! That hike up from Anderson is a bit of drag. lol

As I mentioned to others, it is a pretty area and it has a fascinating history to it.
Hey Skye! Missed the livestream but random question...have you ever thought of doing a Rooftops of America Merch Shop?
worth the wait!
Thanks Eric! I appreciate that, sorry it took so long to get out the door!

I'm hoping to do this one in a single day also. Good to hear others success stories.
