Love the choice of Rainbow. That album is so fucking killer and it’s one of the most underrated hard rock/metal albums ever. I remember first hearing it when I was a kid and almost shitting myself since the only other song I had heard from Dio at that time was Holy diver. Amazing stuff and solid list.

Ah, I bought Appetite for Destruction in January 1989 so was a bit late to the party back then - but loved it silly for months and months! In Finland it was sold with its original cover too so that's the version I still have, on vinyl no less. Never knew that cover was banned until I went online in 2001, lol.

There is a reason why you rarely see anyone covering any song from the album (Looking at you Bullet for my Valentine)
I recently saw Deafheaven open for Coheed and Cambria. I've never heard anything like it. I left telling myself it felt like Deftones had a bastard child with Behemoth. I say that because of how it felt. There was emotion. I went home and looked up the setlist. I remembered a song that made me feel some kind of way. It was dreamhouse. I listened to it with headphones and I cried. I looked up the lyrics and song meaning after I listened. The message was conveyed throughout the song through the painful screeching, the beautiful melodies, and the pummeling drums. What a unique band. Definitely re-opened my interest in diving into the genre and subgenres of metal. Good list! Have a good day.

I love this channel very much. Your character adds so much texture to it, and seeing people getting angry due to a different opinion always makes me laugh. Although, I do pity people like that. For example, I don't like Metallica and Voivod, does that mean nobody is allowed to like them?! People seem to be forgetting this country's secular values... You are not a poser or a pussy. You like what means a lot to you, and that is what metal is all about. Painkiller will always be a classic. I especially love the cover. Crack the Skye by Mastodon is a great album. I've always been torn between it and Remission. Dio is a very special soul. I can't imagine the genre without him or Quorthon. Indeed, he was a special prince; seeing him perform live must have been one of the most magical experiences ever for those lucky enough to have done so. Stay metal! 🤘🤘🤘

Great list. The debate on whether or not GnR is metal shouldn't matter. I've honestly never spent a minute considering whether or not GnR was 'metal'. I think people forget that in the early 80's, people called AC/DC, VH, the Scorpions... metal. Now in hindsight and with the progression of music that stuff is hard rock, party rock, whatever. It's stupid. Appetite has a Metal attitude/vibe, especially relative to what was big at the time. Anyways, I strongly agree with most of those. I don't have that Gorguts record, but I've got others, and they are absolutely crazy. I confess to not having any Voivod. One of these days I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and finally give them a fair shot. I've considered getting that Sunbather?(eater?). Dude, there's not a damn thing wrong wirh including that. Variety is essential in my book.

I don't hate it and I don't hate Deafhaven, what they "stand for" or feel they're a threat to black metal or anythign silly like that. But... Im still expanding my metal taste as Im a relatively new metalhead, but at the moment my favorite metal albums are Metallica's black album, Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory, Reign Supreme from Dying Fetus, Slayer's God Hates Us All, and As I Lay Dying with An Ocean Between Us, Meshuggah's Nothing, Chaosphere, and Koloss, Mastodons Leviathan, and Cannibal Corpse's Torture, as well as their newest album Violence Unimagined because it was the first death metal album I ever listened to. Probably not the best list but they're all very special to me.
Technically Voivod did that weird style of tech-death a year before gorguts. The band is the love child of The Mongrain brothers, who teamed up to create Martyr! an old school, progressive, technical, melodic death metal band from Canada (of course). It's also a band I recommended to you on one of your hang out Livestream. Martyr- Hopeless Hopes. (1997 Gorguts- Obscura. (1998) Cheers mate.

Love the choice of Rainbow. That album is so fucking killer and it’s one of the most underrated hard rock/metal albums ever. Ah, I bought Appetite for Destruction in January 1989 so was a bit late to the party back then - but loved it silly for months and months! In Finland it was sold with its original cover too so that's the version I still have, on vinyl no less. Never knew that cover was banned until I went online in 2001, lol.

Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz: Nothing says more Metal than biting off a bat's head, Jokes aside though, if we talking about all time favorite Metal albums of mine, Ozzy Osbourne's Blizzard of Ozz is definitely on my list, and to this day, Crazy Train is my ringtone, though after the 40 anniversary came out i switched it to the live version of it, everything from start to finish, every single second of this album is just a masterpiece. There is a reason why you rarely see anyone covering any song from the album (Looking at you Bullet for my Valentine)
I recently saw Deafheaven open for Coheed and Cambria. I've never heard anything like it. I left telling myself it felt like Deftones had a bastard child with Behemoth. I say that because of how it felt. There was emotion.
I went home and looked up the setlist. I remembered a song that made me feel some kind of way. It was dreamhouse.
I listened to it with headphones and I cried. I looked up the lyrics and song meaning after I listened. The message was conveyed throughout the song through the painful screeching, the beautiful melodies, and the pummeling drums.
What a unique band. Definitely re-opened my interest in diving into the genre and subgenres of metal. Good list! Have a good day.

I love this channel very much. Your character adds so much texture to it, and seeing people getting angry due to a different opinion always makes me laugh. Although, I do pity people like that. For example, I don't like Metallica and Voivod, does that mean nobody is allowed to like them?! People seem to be forgetting this country's secular values... You are not a poser or a pussy. You like what means a lot to you, and that is what metal is all about.
Painkiller will always be a classic. I especially love the cover. Crack the Skye by Mastodon is a great album. I've always been torn between it and Remission. Dio is a very special soul. I can't imagine the genre without him or Quorthon. Indeed, he was a special prince; seeing him perform live must have been one of the most magical experiences ever for those lucky enough to have done so.

Great list. The debate on whether or not GnR is metal shouldn't matter. I've honestly never spent a minute considering whether or not GnR was 'metal'. I think people forget that in the early 80's, people called AC/DC, VH, the Scorpions... metal.
Now in hindsight and with the progression of music that stuff is hard rock, party rock, whatever. It's stupid.
Appetite has a Metal attitude/vibe, especially relative to what was big at the time.
Anyways, I strongly agree with most of those. I don't have that Gorguts record, but I've got others, and they are absolutely crazy.
I confess to not having any Voivod. One of these days I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and finally give them a fair shot.
I've considered getting that Sunbather?(eater?). Dude, there's not a damn thing wrong wirh including that. Variety is essential in my book.

Killing Technology is the correct Voivod choice. Full agree. Wish the production had a little more low end but the writing is just fantastic.
Im still expanding my metal taste as Im a relatively new metalhead, but at the moment my favorite metal albums are Metallica's black album, Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory, Reign Supreme from Dying Fetus, Slayer's God Hates Us All, and As I Lay Dying with An Ocean Between Us, Meshuggah's Nothing, Chaosphere, and Koloss, Mastodons Leviathan, and Cannibal Corpse's Torture, as well as their newest album Violence Unimagined because it was the first death metal album I ever listened to. Probably not the best list but they're all very special to me.
Technically Voivod did that weird style of tech-death a year before gorguts. The band is the love child of The Mongrain brothers, who teamed up to create Martyr! an old school, progressive, technical, melodic death metal band from Canada (of course).
It's also a band I recommended to you on one of your hang out Livestream.
