man, him and Julio Cesar came to roll and train with us before his seminars at our gym today. So great just to watch him
Thanks a lot for this great documentary and for letting us know more about the champion. Your effort is really appreciated!
I love watching Rodolfo; he's the real deal. I thought he was unfortunate to narrowly lose to Buchecha this year. BJJ is a stuff sport and sometimes complicated to comprehend.
Oss
Great video, I was able to meet Ricardo Amendolia at the worlds. Keep making these great videos!
The master Julio Cesar said about Bruno Malfacine ... The fighter switched GF team by Alliance Team ...
Only partway through, but damn this video is well-edited, really well done.
1. Garageband has been out for a while. 2. If we were unaware that someone had created the same loop combination years ago, and the loop was created without ever hearing it before, then the combination is original from our stand point. Either way, what we meant by "made by us" is that we looped it together without ever hearing it before. Apparently its already been used by several others, which is nice to hear because its a great beat. Its a coincidence.
Black belt?
He is coming for a seminar this saturday.. can't wait to meet him and learn his technics!
amazing documentary, rodolfo is a fierce competitor!
If you think the Gracie's created the guard, hooks, or leverage points you are sorely mistaken; one can't be so naive - Judo and other forms of grappling have been around way before the inception of BJJ.
As a purple belt in BJJ, I love the art & the sport; but I also realize how legit the Fadda lineage is & their place in the history jiu-jitsu. I'm happy someone did a small doc on GFT and hope more short films come out documenting the other lineage of BJJ that is oft forgotten or unknown
Hey guys, for those of you asking about the music, the very first song was just made by us...so unfortunately you won't be able to find it out there. For more music references, see the credits at the end of part 3. Cheers.
Rodolfo>Buchecha
Both are great
We made the music for that first song via Apple's Garageband program by connecting several loops together. It is quite possible that Bo did the same thing, as do many others who use Garageband.
JitsMagazine whats the name of the song/beat that starts playing at 09:43? Great documentary, great soundtrack!!!
Hey guys does any one know where i can buy this documentary on dvd or download it as a whole video rather than in stages, ive looked about and cant seem to find any where, oh i live in the uk so it would need to be region 2. please help
thanks guys
Great video!
I heard this opening beat many times before... and NOT from this channel. Someone is not being honest.
pow ele e monstro no tatame , sou fan do mestre rodolfo !!!
Is he on par with Roger Gracie? I am new to BJJ so sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks
arlans maia grande homem e excelente Mestre
I'm a really, really big Roger fan, but if he's focusing mainly on MMA, I think Rodolfo is going to beat him (always assuming they'll face each other).
Let's hope we'll find it out at the next mundials.
yeah checked the ADCC 2011 results and says he got injured in the match so had to tap and had to pull out of the absolute aswell
Just use keep vid to download it then a video editing program to put it all together.
why wasnt he in the latest ADCC?
Hooray for garage band on mac!
great music!
@Sirravisx It was made from combining loops from Apple's Garageband program.
Malfacine
Who is the student that Julio is speaking about that left the team before Rodolfo?
Malfacine
wats the song??? please
Don't get me wrong I love the video and Rodolpho is awesome. But don't try to claim a beat as an original when it has been out longer than your documentary. And especially don't say you created a beat using a program which has pre programmed beats that you can switch and choose from and then lable it as your original......
Is his cousin Leonardo Pecanha?
Qual é a musica que toca no começo do video?
allan felipe santos Fort Minor - Believe me
@ 9:34 something is being lost in translation there, which is that the social work done through BJJ is "not valued" (implying that it is a shame and that it SHOULD be valued) and that therefore the growth of the team has been a consequence of the success elsewhere. There is a great impact on the social level but not a great FINANCIAL impact.
10 people, got choked out from jiu-jitsu practioner in school, when they were kids
It's not the same Leo Vieira from checkmat lol. I thought the same thing though.
Didn't he lose to Dean Lister?
10:20
In a parallel universe: Rodolfo Berimboloing
Yes he did.
Yeah this guy looks pretty sick, never heard of him though. I love BJJ even though I'm only 2 weeks in and tapping again, again and again :D
CheeseBurgerTM still practicing?
Who's here after he got tapped by a purple belt I think
Anthony Hernandez baby!!!
music: Sunsearcher - Dance Rhythm1
dublab > Benedek cruzing
After winning ADCC as a brown belt he should have retired from competition and started a blog and "invent" wrestling or something...
I have heard this beat before this video AND before Bo Burnham became famous...
did i hear him say he is leo vieira's cousin?
No.
Thats funny because his special was a few years ago being that you made this beat yourself how did I hear it years ago on his special??
That music was from Bo Burnham the comedian you just edited out his words......
this beat is a sped up version of fort minor - believe me
Dean Lister mandou um abraço... kkkkkkkkkkkk
Sacanagem....
Humildade......
gfteam uma das melhores academia do mundo .
Melhor que a gracie barra ?
in my opinion i still think Rodolfo is better then buchecha
luv rodolfo's gi and no gi game
goes for the kill
top 5 in no order:
rodolfo
yahya
robson moura
eddie bravo
pablo popovitch
@augustofla omg, bruno malfacine???! damn.
So he was a brow beating all the blacks? sounds like he wasnt really a brown belt. Ive seen a lot of people held back from promotions to make the school look better and for competition reasons. Dont get me wrong, Im not knocking the guys skills.
he should do mma cuz hes still young to learn how to strike
sabe pensar??
Please watch a clip on youtube entitled Mitsuyo Maeda: The origins of BJJ (im not sure how to post it on here), & realize Judo also utilized the guard &hooks before the Gracie's... If you watch that and still argue with me, or do any research regarding Judo's history at all and still try to tell me that Helio invented the guard.. i'll be speechless
The Gracie's revolutionized and added many techniques to develop BJJ, just your ignorance that hooks & guard was not around before them is obsurd.
@ProfNishkamAcademy Bruno Malfacine
Buchecha...
Who cares about the music the video is a about jiu jitsu!!!! a bunch of lawyers in here.
@ProfNishkamAcademy Malfacine
Osmar Fontes kkkkk
