This is literally committing academic suicide. No wonder these dumb asses sit at the top almost all the time. Their manipulative ways are the only talent they have. I dare you guys. Go ahead, write a research without being a perfectionist and lack accuracy. I'm sure your PI will fall in love with you.
I find writing my conclusion first helps significantly. Keeping the ending in mind as I construct my paper enables me to work fluidly. Subjective note on my part.
Yes if you know where you want to conclude. In many cases you might not at the outset. That said once you do have clarity either the abstract or main findings of the conclusion can be a ‘north star’ to keep you moving in the same direction
Hello@@profdavidstuckler Thank you so much for providing such informative feedback. You are super kind. Your words will echo in my internal monologue as I tap away.
i'm a master's student who did some research in collaboration for a lab who thinks its worth a paper, i opened 7 tabs with different videos on how to write one, and closed all of them half way through this video, thanks alot !

Hi all, thanks alot and I am here to finally confirm that I passed my paper in high first class. Thanks a lot for the poiters. I had struggled to start writing my paper because of the Introduction. Like I thought it would be easy after finishing it. I am a pure perfectionists so due to it I really think I should write everything perfectly. Thats before I realized our Mentor would give us more pointers later and make us revise our work. But the Perfectionist things is real, I would sometimes revise things in one place for hours 😢😂😂😂😂
This is so common- and can be terribly frustrating. Happy to hear you got value from the training! Definitely be sure to join our facebook group and we can keep the conversation going there :)

So when to write the literature review part? Should be very beginning of the research project right? Identify research question also happened at the same time I guess. I usually quickly write an very ugly introduction part and literature review part first, and send many such drafts to my advisor, if he says green light, I start invest my effort into the project. after experiment done, last 10% I go back to write inside out and re-write the whole introduction. Does that sounds good? Any comment?
I really like your videos, because I find them very instructive and easy to understand. Thanks for sharing them with us! I am currently taking a master's course in law at a Brazilian university, but I would like to get a PhD abroad someday. Your videos have helped me become less anxious/insecure about my academic future.
My research area is english literature and I'm following a linear writing approach, I'm done with introduction and methods, but I'm stuck at results/ discussion section. I'm unable to incorporate or relate the methods with the findings/ scenes/ instances/ diary pictures in the books. If anybody has any idea how to proceed, I'm all ears. Thank you

Same approach just you won’t have ‘results’. I’d model off similar papers in your field. Theoretical papers are generally harder and where possible I don’t recommend them if you’re just starting out
See intro section 👍 Some fields want an extended lit review as a separate section but that’s increasingly less common and more prevalent in social science fields
