      @@jethro450 I can see changing ECU and mapping. But no thanks to adding bigger pistons, cams, etc, That stuff will make your bike run hot and wear out prematurely and more importantly less reliable which is a bad deal for snow biking. Okay for short duration hill climbs but I ain't getting stuck up in the woods in the winter.

      Nope. I’ve said several times I’ve never ridden one. They’re the unicorn of snowbike kits in Utah. I’ve only seen one once at a race. I’d love to ride one myself as I’ve heard mixed reviews. I’m sure they’re like anything else, it just needs setup right.

      I just Got back from a trip and got the chance to ride a brand new mountain top 126 with the 3.25 track on a 2023 KTM My setup is a 2023 KTM with a 120 CMX same exact bikes but completely different kits each has their pros and cons I will say at the end of the day I was pretty excited to get back on my 120 CMX 🤠 nothing against the mountaintop kit that thing did climb like like no other but I just have more fun on the CMX for some reason 🤷

    Wow that’s a ton of power to get out of a 450, I’m sure he has to run race gas and I’m sure maintenance intervals are increased significantly, question for you? Is the kit that much better than the timbersled or is it the extra 30% power that makes it that much better

    • @jethro450
      @jethro450  8 месяцев назад

      I really like my riot3 pro. Horse power aside, I’d say my riot3 handles about 95% as good as the MtnTop. The MtnTop is more playful and has a lighter skin feel. But in my opinion, we’re not talking HUGE differences, but the difference is noticeable and that’s a big deal… if you know what I mean.
      Snow conditions make a big difference too. I’ve ridden them several times in the past and for some reason this day and under these snow conditions, man that thing just ripped! It really out performed the others that day. I really want to ride a riot3 gen2 back to back against it. Could be interesting.

    • @jethro450
      @jethro450  8 месяцев назад

      Oh, and he actually doesn’t have to run race gas… but he does for the extra 3 hp

    • @christophermaglio1939
      @christophermaglio1939 8 месяцев назад

      I have the 2024 3.25 MTN. TOP kit and a 2022 riot 3s on identical hondas.
      The MTN top is subtly better. Its more efficient (uses less power / fuel). It has slightly better trail manners. But NOT night and day better.
      The front fork setup seems not as good as a fit kit. The chain adjustment may become problematic with corrosion as it requires specialized tools.
      Its a good kit, but most of what you see here is HP and the track setup for low ski pressure.
      As far as climbing, the 3.25 will outclimb the 3 but like always its snow condition specific.
      Its a incremental improvement. It is not a quantum leap.
      C3 makes an adapter for their wheel kit which helps with loading and unloading. The gas shocks make tuning easier.
      There is certainly room for them to remove weight with design changes as some machined parts are overly simplistic and thus heavy in weight.

      @@jethro450 just surprising given the amount of time and attention to detail. When you sit down and do the math, it makes more sense to buy a brand new 450, pay the $6500 for Llyods, and add your flavor of snowbike kit and still be under the 31k asking price. It just doesn’t instill much confidence seeing people build these and sell them. The real question is longevity and reliability. Can it easily do 80hrs with no issues.
