This kit is for the guy who thinks he's an "ARO 129 climber" kinda guy. It does not allow the ski to get up very easy but it does do it, watch the video. Having said that, it turns sharp and leans side to side really easily. It is not on the level of playfulness of the MtnTop, Riot3Pro Gen2 (or Gen1), and I'd say it's pretty close to on par with the ARO (either Gen1/2). That's why my whole point of this video is if you are a guy wanting an ARO 129, you really need to try this kit first simply because it's $1000 cheaper and performs really well. The ski does suck on the road... which, if you have to buy a new ski... the price is a little closer to the ARO. I just realized I didn't even notice the solid strut (I ride with soft struts and they make a big difference on the bikes I'm on). That says a lot for the suspension. I actually did soften the rear shock and stiffen the front, it was noticeable. But still not a MtnTop/Riot in terms of "wheelie around" performance. Very planted. IT'S A CLIMBER! The 127x2.75 track sure has me questioning my 3" track. The 3" is a lot for a stock motor. The stock YZ really ripped this track good. I had a ball on it.
Good video comparing it to the Timbersled! the only thing I think is that you put the Ohlins suspension in the wrong direction!? Greetings from Europe.
@@lawrencewalkley6944 I rode it several times and didn’t like at all at first. Then the owner made a bunch of suspension adjustments, including revalving the stock bike’s rear shock (which is used on the kit) and it was way better. Even in the way better form, which I DID have fun on, I still prefer the timbersleds or mtntop over the rale. If you have a good line on a rale for cheap, might be worth taking a look at. You really need to ride both and decide what you like because it is a rider preference thing. I know some people love the rale. I’m just not one of them.
Well done! Much appreciated input...got me thinking about it.
Come rent and demo one of these in Bozeman, MT at SDS Adventure Rentals. They’re awesome!
In his video do you feel like he’s right about the ski feeling plated
Looks good!
I wonder with those fancy shocks it could wheelie easy by softening the rear?
Also, is it close to the mtn top for fun factor/performance?

you are the man! Thanks.
Would be great to see you ride a CMX on a tuned bike to compare to that MTN top with Lloyd setup.

I didn’t install it.. and it actually wasn’t ohlins on this ride. I misspoke. Ohlins came on the next ride.
What are your thoughts on this kit vs the rale 129 or the mtn top vs rale 129?
I’d take this over a rail but not MtnTop.
@@jethro450 did you ever feel the rale was good?
