I really love Anja's approach to teaching German - professional production executed with great fun and enthusiasm and the best classes I've seen. A lot of thought has been put into the material making it very effective for learning. The acting is not bad either but don't give up the day job just yet!😂🤣

Im from Turkey and we dont have a strict rest day rule although its expected that no noise is made after 8 pm. People are calmer but its not rigid. Supermarkets and shoppong centers are open.
The hotel I stayed at in Ismanning during Oktoberfest did not clean rooms on Sunday. They came by and offered us towels and other amenities but, did not enter the room.

Important information from a native German: Yes, people like the crazy lady with the hat do actually exist here. But, no, don't worry it has nothing to do with you being from abroad or your behavior. They complain about everything. They like to complain. It's their hobby. We Germans suffer as well. Best thing is to roll your eyes and ignore them. Good thing is: They are getting increasingly rare. Hope we can talk about an extinct species in the near future.
We used to have everything shut down on Sundays. Now businesses are allowed to run as they see fit people are allowed to do whatever they want to every single day of the week. It's a free country. The Bible calls it a day of rest. Canada doesn't enforce bible rules anymore. We voted it down.
It's always the oldest are the rudest! They are already pensioners, for them 24/7 is RuHeTaG anyway! Even during the week when normal ppl are working noone is at home so they can have their ruhe 5 out of 7 day already!
Sorry, but this is just stereotypical over exaggerated rubbish. I stayed with my friend and her family in 2020 in Karlsruhe and on the Sunday it was very noisy as s neighbour was having building work done. Real life is nothing like a TV drama or RUclips presentation.
